- There was quite a bit of mixed comments about the C5 on the last video on whether it was a capable machine or not. So, I figured a ride along video of me taking the car out to get some footage would be a great video to post!

This video right here is making it very hard for me to twin turbo a C5. I love the sound of external wastgates but I also love the hissing and crisp exhaust note of a supercharged setup.
I’d supercharge it. Or do a rear mount turbo, those sound sick

Ive been debating it too. But for me I cant figure out if going turbo will make the engine feel as crisp especially in the rev match downshifts. In the video he hits one while breaking @7:00 and its just perfect. Throttle response almost exactly like my carbed NA motor.

@@LuckyGarageUSA Yeah, you took it pretty easy, but as a biker one thing I don't like is how you crossed in and out of the carpool lane on the double whites. If a biker is splitting lanes between the carpool and the #1, as we do, and esp in CA, it can lead to a pretty nasty accident. If you're going to get in the carpool lane, stay in until there's a legal exit. PS - killer rev match on those downshifts. ;)
People just don't understand what this feels like unless you have a car like this. Just jumping in it on a Sunday afternoon and doing this for a couple of hours...makes the world just melt away and for that moment, it's heaven. Usually puts a sht eating grin on your face for the rest of the day too! 😊😊
Man, those LS1's and LS6's in the C5 'Vette sounded absolutely incredible, probably the best sounding small block they've produced and in a tie with the high winding 283.

That first big pull was so fucking sick, hearing the pops as you upshift with that supercharger wine build-up. 🔥🔥 Even though I'm not a big vet guy I still appreciate them, in addition, this kinda stuff done to them is just badass. Great video and an awesome C5!!!

I live for the perfect exhaust note. Loud, deep, more bass growl than the tinny sound of some European V8's. I have heard some great ones to fit that bill, but this one is ranking dam near at the top. You have her sounding right, vicious and wicked. She looks great as well.

@@LuckyGarageUSAtell me why I do the exact same thing in my c5 z, check all the gauges twice through, listen to the lifters, give it a few pats and wait til the next time I abuse it 😂. Also run 178 coolant temp mostly lol, gotta Dewitt’s in that bad girl?

I'm glad I'm not the only one that talks to my car. I told her she did a good job yesterday racing a zl1 with a cai, lower pulley, e85, and tune. If he ever sends me the videos I'll post them. I have a feeling he may not because my super slow is na and I got him 3 out of 5.

This a righteous looking sled, the stance the exhaust note, the lumpy idle. I imagine by slamming it, your turn radius is not so tight, but that a small price to pay for how it looks, the wheel tire combo are sick. I thought you were going to get tagged by the cop. Wow thats a really good sound, the ridealong definitely should help ppl see its not just a show car, kinda helped showed me that too... This is a well set up car, well taken care of with good detail. YOUR EXTRA CAREFULNESS WHILE CHANGING LANES is great too I love this vid!!! Now I see this C5 is one of the best setup C5's ive seen huge props!!! No lie itd be cool too see you get your hands on a C4 perhaps LT4 OR ZR1. your attention to detail would compliment one

I always try to be very careful, I already am putting others at risk driving above the speed limit, and I also really dont want to get my car hit, so I always look 5 times lol. I actually want to build a C4, and It might very well be content later down the road!
@@LuckyGarageUSA What C4 would ya think of getting? ZR1 would be rlly cool not sure how much aftermarket support is for the LT5 but I know its great stock wise probably NA, since its dohc , Callaway pulled off a tt lt5. i dunno much about the lt4 too much. LT1 is damn cool too

I used to feel bad waking up the neighbors so i spent 875 on a quiet but still good sounding exhaust. then i realized they are trash who let their dogs bark without any concern. and that was after i spent 875 for these random neighbors i dont even know. never again

Love the build all around, definitely ready to go against a demon 170 possibly. If you do any "mexico" races, do a outside camera mount if you got the equipment, anything like a insta 360 gopro would make for a killer video.

I road in a twin turbo C5 Z06 w/ 650 to rear wheels years ago... Life changed forever. Made my NA C5 w/ cam, heads, and exhaust seem like a joke.

With today’s power I still think 650 is a lot of power. I’m in 40 lbs of boost and it feels crazy when the boost pushes you into your seat but I’m sure that’s what the vette feels like but it’s crazy to think how all these newer cars like hellcats and such are coming out with 800 stock.
