Focusing on form as a beginner is awesome advice. Your prime for growth and should not worry too much about how hard your sets are for at least the first few months. And even after that, you don't need to go super close to failure because that first year is a goldmine of growth and most people with can grow doing anything during that time!

I'd push myself so hard I'd end up puking towards the end of a training session, and for what? I could've taken things a little slower and had the same results, only a few weeks or months slower, and in the self improvement path, there's no need to rush!

My two favorite routines, Sumo Jump squats and Bulgarian split squats.. now if you don’t have any weights at home. Increase reps instead only stop once you feel that burn.. then stick to a heavy protein diet..
@@annaant.3976 I was also on a low fiber diet due to a colitis flare up, and I was eating mainly protein and I was on oral steroids to control the inflammation and they gave me a ton of energy I was working out every other day for two months, I lost all that energy when I stopped the oral steroids and went back to a normal diet, so I haven't been working out as much 😭😭 but I'm ready to get back to it. Good luck!

I enjoy working out with him so even though I could lift alone I will probably keep paying him to train me. He's a military veteran some days I feel beat down, but it's so worth it! Very nice advise. I can fully agree. Just do machines (if not comfortable), they are easy to overload and progress, not very dangerous to use and easy movement.
I like using kettlebells mainly because I grew up using them. But, the main reason is because they’re way easier for me to focus on my form. Quality over quantity when it comes to reps in my opinion. Also, for beginners on any fitness journey start with what you’re comfortable with and she did give great advice. Not disregarding her advice in any way.
I always do the treadmill: my objective is being able to run 5km outside and I need to loose 15 kg at least. I can do 5km on the treadmill (30min) but outside is harder.
