    Good work, Rohan. Just a tip, for what it's worth, leave 8-10 carp in your bait net after checking it. They will scurry around and attract the attention of the rest of the school, and they in turn will swim into the net creating more mayhem. Good for the system!!!

      In my state it's illegal to put carp back alive, we have to kill them because they are an introduced pest species. I can't afford to feed 200 carp in a tank lol

    In certain spots the government should allow cast netting, I could clean that place out no worries with my 12 foot cast net. And you down have to waste worms

    • @RKJFishing
      @RKJFishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      In cases like this it would be very useful! But I imagine people doing the wrong thing and keeping natives they net as well, it would be too hard to police

    • @bennuballbags2
      @bennuballbags2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RKJFishing Oh I meant strictly it would be the government doing this, or trained and licensed people who would be allowed to do it. You are allowed to use cast nets in other states but there sure are a lot of idiots who would be taking natives. Id love to go get rid of carp this way as I know exactly what carp look like....

    That's fucking horrible that they are treat like that in Australia other countries like to fish for them this is a sport not just for laughs and just to be killed is just sad that in ur countrie is an invasion species

    • @RKJFishing
      @RKJFishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it's horrible but it's necessary unfortunately. The conditions over here in Australia suit them perfectly, they overpopulate and remove food sources from our native fish, as well as eat the eggs of native fish. We are required by law to kill them when caught. If I'm ever lucky enough to visit Europe, I look forward to catch and release carp fishing!

    • @RKJFishing
      @RKJFishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There were originally no carp in Australia, they were brought over here by the English a long time ago, and they have caused havoc here ever since.

      they are invasive all around australia and since our freshwater species are quite small they absolutely destroy the populations, there is a pond near my house that used to have hundeds of aussie bass but they have all been killed by tons of carp, and even though carp can make decent bait cut up, i woulda loved to fish for the bass

      You need to understand that fishing in Australia is COMPLETELY different to how the UK and Europeans do it. Fishing in Europe is all about finesse and fish care, where in Australia it’s borderline barbaric mostly
