Just to let you all know, in case you aren't aware ... This Gorilla Glue Gel will have a pretty serious reaction with garments containing Polyester. I recently accidentally splattered some of the glue onto my shorts during application of the product, and the resulting chemical reaction was a hell of a lot of heat, with visible smoke/fumes. This reaction could cause some serious burns in large spill quantities as the glue will react with the polyester while adhering to your skin through the garment, very rapidly. I couldn't find where it was stated to keep the glue away from said materials, but I may have missed it. In any case, this is a friendly PSA! 🫡
It is important to use a light application of water on the surface first to keep the wood from absorbing the glue then apply the glue and press together lightly. you need O2 for the thermal crosslink reaction to take effect.
Exactly. Dumb shop teacher can’t even read simple English instructions. Maybe if it was written in Americanish or maybe a hick accent would help? Good thing he only teaches lowly shop and nothing academic or important
Cyanoacrylate based adhesives have an excellent adhesive property -- however its "cohesive" properties are very weak. What does that mean? If there's any gap between the two surfaces, the glue itself will fracture and fail. Any gap must be microscopic. Furthermore, it's brittle and not robust to thermal expansion/contraction of the joined surfaces. Under repeated thermal expansion/contraction of the joined objects, the shear forces will cause it to fail. Many plastics cannot be joined effectively with it either. Epoxies are much better and nearly all also have very good cohesive properties that can deal with voids.
Cheap chinese Super glue bonds better. Doesn't bond as it looks. I used 10 seconds gell to bond plastic. Left it overnight. Junk just separated with light pressure. 😒
Худшего клея в моей жизни еще не было. Самый обычный ПВА клей будет гораздо эффективнее. Купила ваш дорогой клей, в надежде, что его дороговизну оправдает качество продукции и экономичность. Заплатила 16 фунтов за 50мл. клея. В описании клей должен склеивать такие материалы как стекло, керамику, металл, камни и более. В итоге он не смог заклеить даже обычную пластиковую вешалку!!! Даже тряпичные тапочки. Потому что клея там нет, есть обычный сироп, который слегка липнет, но не клеет. Даже пальцы друг к лругу не липнут. Это просто обман потребителей! Верните мои деньги!

If you want to test for strength, you should wait for 24 hrs so it cures properly.

I believe the bottle also suggest dampening the surface
Porous surfaces are really poor places to use superglue.

If can’t get hold of Gorilla glue just use flour and water, it’s 10x stronger
