Thanks for these experiments. It's good to see somebody trying to do an objective and controlled test. I think the conclusion is: the two brands are very similar in their performance.

Overall Loctite did better because it won by a way larger margin on metal while it only lost by a very tight margin on wood versus Gorilla!

Love how your keeping the tests as controlled as you can! I assume youve seen Project Farm page? Difference is, i bet he does that full time and this is a hobby or yours. Keep it up!

      Thanks for the comment!
I'm small-scale compared to Project Farm, but enjoy sharing my little experiments and projects.

I needed to tape some christmas lights to the ground in my garden and used gorilla tape to do it. At first, the tape held the lights to the ground nicely but after a couple of years, it came off and wouldn't work anymore. So the real test would be to see how long the glue will last

Very well done tests. Few videos are done as in-depth and controlled. I saw one where they applied too much surface area compared to the other brand which made the test useless

All of the samples were incorrect. The samples need to be as smooth as possible and metal samples needed to be sanded with 600 grit, same with the wood samples, sandpaper and cleaned thoroughly with alcohol. And needed at least two drops each. This will cause a much more tighter bond for a test.

Nice, I'm sure but how to get the outer clear cap off, I first need to know? Anyone? GOT IT! It's oval so squeeze sides and pull.

what would you suggest for a screw in a washing machine? its a portable machine that uses a screw to hold in the agitator. So...its going to be exposed to hot water and vibration. Which one do I use as a glue? thanks! I've tried red locktite and it failed after one wash..i could unscrew the bolt by hand....disappointing...

Hi i have a sensitive nose and was wondering if the gorilla glue super gel has a strong smell ?

Super Glue Gel is not for non-porous surfaces like metal. Best to use Super Glue Liquid for non-porous surfaces.

absolute best thing to mold 2 pieces of metal together? constant pressing on the metal and only have around 5 hours to bond before lots of pressure.

Sorry, I haven't tested plastic... yet. I've got that on my list of future tests.
