Great engine the SR20. Lots of power and performance potential despite the hate for this engine. I must admit, Im kind of suprise they didnt do the dual guide shim mod on this build as its quite common on for guys that know the SR20DE and DET cylinder heads. The SR20DET is a good looking engine imo.
love the fact that these classic engines are all alloy and cast iron, not like engine these days everything's plastic, like the thermostat inlet hose bypasses.
Very Cool, i worked for Infiniti from 2002 to 2014 and never saw a bad SR20 in a G20. Gutless in the stock form in the G20, however so capable amazing durable motor!
I remember when I was buying S13 and S14 cars for $500-$800 do minor fixes and sell them for $4k, the only ones I regret selling was my 90 midnight blue coupe and my 91 cherry red. Both were full interior cars. The 91 was a turbo KA and the 90 was going to be something. Both also ran and were 8/10 condition. Minor stains in the interior and some rock chips.

Been a JZ guy after that money pit of a 4 cylinder engine. Power deliver ain't the problem. The issue is oil starvation issues which is imminent 😂😂😂😂. You need really deep pockets and have a seriously deep passion for the SR20 platform to mod and race it 😂😂😂. I've lost mine and the 2JZ embraced me. So far no issues after many years of abuse on my daily driver GS300

I reckon you guys should do a high rpm build for a merc om606 i6 turbo diesel. Plenty of old mercs out there with em seen one drift build at 1000hp but nothing else. Same goes for the s600 with the v12

While I love 4 bangers, I could spend as much on a 6 or 8cyl with something that's gonna last. 250hp per cylinder is normal, it's harder and way more expensive on any other engine but, there's the reliability question again. Torque is important ondy street. I love them all regardless and every brand, make, model can be modified. My handle suggests mopar and that's my favorite. 2.2s 2.5s 4g63 are all Mitsubishi and I've modded them all including a420 neon engine's. I love seeing young people getting into motorsports (even big obnoxious wings on a fwd car) shows interest at least. Love this build and would not add boost but, rather use a little more compression.
