      well yeah. you said it in your comment: expectations. the 2021 class was expected to do more, and didn't. the 2022 class was expected to be ass, and overachieved in the small window of opportunities we've seen so far. therefore, they are SURPRISINGLY good compared to what was expected.

      Yeah, but the 2021 draft class a bunch of first round QBs where as 2022 had 1. Brock Purdy the kid from Miami getting significant play time is unheard of. Meanwhile Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields and Mac Jones were all injured or either Played between the realm of horrible and might be on the rise (fields). Purdy bounced back from the injury and is still the 49er QB. With the acquisition of Christian McCaffrey from the Panthers (a Stanford grad, by the way), I think the team will reach the playoffs again, and possibly reach the Super Bowl.

    Lots of things were noted from this qb class this season. Kenny showed why he’s the best qb of the 2022 class, despite it being a weak class, and how he has potential to be an elite qb in the league as time goes on. Malik Willis showed that just because a qb had a good arm and mobility doesn’t mean you’ll have success in the nfl. Brock purdy showed that literally any qb can play in the perfect 49ers offense with how qb friendly and easy the scheme is. Skylar Thompson showed just how much the buffalo bills were frauds. Desmond ridder answered the question on who’s better him or Willis, and it’s him. Finally Bailey zappe showed how much belicheck likes to troll with fans. Loved how much Kenny improved as the season went on and can’t wait to see him excel next season.

    • @skforever0
      @skforever0 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      If the 49ers offense was perfect for any qb then CJ Beathard, Nick Mullens and more would've been just as great. Spoiler alert, they weren't. So tired of that narrative being pushed to discredit Brock, he succeeded because he's a good QB that makes good decisions, not because of the system.

    • @twindragon5668
      @twindragon5668 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@skforever0 funny that you bring up CJ and mullens, because they did play good for the situation they were in. They were starting QBs in 2017 and 2018 and backups to jimmy G in 2019 and 2020. It’s almost laughable that you think the 49ers system now in 2022 is the same system back when shanahan was a rookie HC in 2017-2018 while having a bottom 25 defense. Now they have a top 10 defense the past 3 years with a top 5 OL and aiyuk, Deebo, mccaffery, kittle, and juszczyk. He’s not bad, he played smart BUT THATS IT. ALL HE DID WAS PLAY SMART. You give the ball to mccaffery most of the game, dump the ball to kittle and Deebo then every now and then go deep for aiyuk. I didn’t know repeating that same formula every single game makes you an “amazing qb” because if that’s the case then trey lance and jimmy G must be top 5 QBs in the league with how much purdy is being praised for doing nothing.

    • @cinemapigeon4898
      @cinemapigeon4898 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@skforever0 Correct. Brock Purdy made some great plays showing how decent he was, a noticeable step up from Jimmy G. Sure there's hit a wide open Deebo who then takes it to the house plays, but there's also Brock Purdy evading pressure, making a guy or two miss, buying time, and finding on his 4th or 5th read on an open target, as well as making great throws (TD pass to CMC against the Bucs one of many examples). That is decision making, instincts, whatever you want to call it that is not apart of the system. That's all Brock Purdy, and not something Jimmy G is physically capable of doing.

Also, that offense is easier for a rookie to run its bootlegs and they had nick Chubb and Kareem hunt. Josh Rosen was also awful, worse than Kenny. Trubisky had an awesome bears defense, didn’t play in the afc north, and also you could see he was worth than Pickett this year when he started 😊. So, what’s this about bad takes again?

      @@danteandkyler7954 being a fan of the Steelers is a double-edged sword. We’re never a team that has any issues with coaches coming in every one to two years and overhauling everything and making changes, but at the same time, when shit stops working and we start falling behind, we’re the last to switch things around and stay stuck in their way. Stability is a wonderful thing we’ve taken for granted for so long but being overly loyal to someone that isn’t producing post-season results like they should is killing us. And I didn’t have expectations for this year, I figured we would suck and we did surprisingly well all things considered, but that simply shouldn’t be an excuse to keep Tomlin and Canada when (at least Tomlin) they have had teams that had far far greater talent completely shit the bed repeatedly in the last decade

Ridder, Skylar thompson, Trey Lance drafted 2021 and Malik Willis there are more but i just wanted point out the obvious ones that are especially getting the short lease. Most are just overhyped * cough cough Ridder and Malik Willis and some that are just god awful *Skylar Thompson. Just being realistic.
