The Texans getting Aaron Donald and JJ Watt in their primed together would’ve been insane
Indeed 😳
I think that would be highly illegal
Back then I was a regular on one Texans blog and there was one poster who would post every day how Donald was obviously going to be a beast and begged the FO to draft him. Seems like he was right.
@@IceStationZebraAssociates I did this for the cowboys too
@@IceStationZebraAssociates I remember him being a monster his senior year. I was still on the Jadaveon Clowney hype train. Clowney just wasn't never as good as his sophomore year in college and has coasted on his talent since.
David Carr's problem wasn't that he wasn't good, it was that the Texans' O-line sucked. The poor guy was shell shocked after 2 seasons and didn't have a chance. If he had a line he would have been at least as good as Dereck Carr.
As a Fresno State fan, that was so sad. David Carr was just a punching bag back there
Exactly that team had so many holes any qb would have failed
He was Mac jones in New England today.

It made me mad to see people say he was a bust when any quarterback would suffer, Tom Brady or patty mahomes would. If David Carr had a decent team around him, he would have been a superstar
Sad to see here in Houston. I felt bad for whoever was drafted here that year! I knew it would be a bloodbath. When we finally pull out a Super Bowl, he should be the one to deliver the trophy! Hopefully, that is a possibility in the next few years!
As a Lions fan, after you said “the lions still select Matthew Stafford” I audibly said “thank you!” 😂
Yessss. Would have cried if he took stafford away
The Lions are probably superbowl bound this year. Something I never thought I'd say.

Chargers had brees
@@diabolivirtusen-tavares-ea4645 they also had LT ? They’re saying with added talent that offense would’ve been even scarier
And they still wouldn’t have won anything.
@@pawrestlingchampConsidering one year they had the #1 offense and defense in the league, and missed the playoffs, that’s probably true…
My face when he said “instead of joe burrow”🤔😯🤯
What sucks about the 49ers picks is that TWICE they passed on Hall of Fame QBs who grew up loving them... Tom Brady and Aaron Rogers. Either of those guys would have given their souls to wear the Crimsin and Gold, but they let them slip away.
Assuming they still get all the other players they had in the early 2010’s (and assuming Rodgers developed the same way), we could’ve seen prime Aaron Rodgers and the 49er defense of the early 2010’s on one team
You have to take systems into consideration and sitting behind Bledsoe and Favre...Rogers or Brady anywhere else, would they be the Qbs they ended up being?
And the Niners also got Trey Lance, who has a good shot at being the worst bust in NFL history. The only reason this team isn't totally irrelevant is because they hit on a pick who was supposed to be just that.
Wtf is ur profile pic lol
Aaron Rodgers has at least six championship rings if he's on the 49ers his whole career.. since he's been drafted they have not won a single Super Bowl. It's safe to say his assertion on draft day turned out correct- the 49ers absolutely regret not drafting Aaron Rodgers
The fact that this man snuck a 28-3 joke in like that is how you know he's a pats fan lmao
It's the sneakiness of it lol
That Justin Tucker take was absolutely insane. Idk if that was engagement farming but it definitely worked on me😂 great video
It's insane yes, but if you look at how many times tucker has saved the ravens ass, it's not as insane
@@kayfabejunkiesstill not worth taking a kicker #1 overall lol
That was a hilarious take, but if you think about it…. Justin Tucker has 1649 career points, that’s equivalent to 274 touchdowns… not too shabby
@@JB-1996 you'd still need to consider value over replacement, so how much more points would he score than a FA kicker and how many more would a great receiver score than an average FA receiver
Andrew Luck not being drafted by the colts might have save his career lol
put russel wilson on those cplts teams and see whay happens awful repick
Regardless, Luck is still the only correct option
Larry Fitzgerald finished his career with more tackles than drops. Amazing.
And the margin is surprisingly high in that regard. He had like 10 more tackles than pass drops.
I'm from the future. It wasn't the Cowboys year.
Dang. Worst part is I already knew.
But this information won't change the fact that I will insist it is to every other fan
next year?
Both Brady and Mahomes landed on teams that had perfect situations in which they could develop perfectly. Brady without those early 2000s Patriots teams doesn’t win all of those SBs. Mahomes without Reid and those weapons doesn’t end up as great as he is 5 years later.
Great take but Mahomes would still be great
Browns gonna brown
@@Garbgaming Possibly, but I definitely don’t think he’d be as good early on. If he doesn’t land with Andy Reid, the perfect mentor for his rookie year in Alex Smith, and all those weapons, there’s no way he has as much early success.
They would both still end up great tho
@@Garbgaming He would have still had an incredible arm, but if he wound up on say, the Texans, I'm sure his decision making would be a fraction of what it is now
And if Brady wound up on any other team he would almost definitely be a nobody
Justin tucker has number 1 overall had me dying for som reason 😂😂😂
Edit: if ur looking for that part it’s: 10:27
He's won more games for the ravens than any other player in the team's history, and arguably more than any other player on any team of all time. Man sent us to a super bowl, multiple playoffs, and has the records for most accurate kicker in NFL history and also has the longest kick in NFL history. JT deserves it
@@swimmer8585 I get it! 😳 it’s so long I stoped reading it in the first half but ok…..
Tbh he WAS top 3 best players of the entire draft so I can't even say I disagree. Also I just don't want Russell to have gone anywhere other than Seattle
I honestly think if you can guarantee the most accurate kicker in history, that's worthy of number one overall. It's such a huge part of the game. Compare if closing pitchers and kickers are still more important
The only thing I’d argue with this pick is that they already had Adam vinitieri who may only be slightly worse given that he doesn’t have as big of a leg. Otherwise I love this take!!
You got me with the 2020, my jaw dropped, great comedy timing. 2007, I expected you to say "Instead of Jamarcus Russell, the Raiders pick... literally anyone else.

And probably wanted Brady to get murdered behind the Browns' line as well.
It's pretty clever.
As a cowboys fan, I appreciate you giving Tony some credit for the 2003 pick. Dude had a good career, despite not having playoff success

Sorry bran, the browns would have 1000% made mahomes a bust. Remember, his couch in college was Kliff Kingsbury
Oh, and while I have you, so would Tom Brady and Josh Allen. A great concept as a QB would not stop the inevitable problem of bad coaching. It took Josh three years to be good, meanwhile Baker was pretty good off the bat when we wasn't coached by 1-32 McGee
@@cybercrasherstv I think Lamar is probably the only other QB the browns could have picked at 1
I love your content, man. And this was a fun video...but I can't see the Colts NOT taking Anderw Luck in 2012. Even though he walked away from football way too soon (right or wrong, a player's health should always be their primary concern), Luck was incredible for the Colts, and a game away, against TOM FREAKIN BRADY, from taking Indy back to the Superbowl.
Russell Wilson is a Hall of Fame Quarterback, but Andrew Luck was a generational talent.
Russell Wilson holds the title of most over rated QB on a list that includes Eli Manning, Tony Romo, Dak Prescott, Colin Kaepernick, Kirk Cousins, and Tom Brady.
And to address the inevitable freak outs, Brady is a very good QB. He happens to be the QB of the most SB winning teams, but no way in hell is he best QB in NFL history. But people say he is for that one fact. Hence, he is overrated.
despite his play rn russ is a generational talent and one of the best dual threat qbs of all time …
Luck's problem was he was drafted by the Colts with Jim Irsay as the owner and Ryan Grigson as the GM. Look at the draft history of Ryan Grigson and see how many busts he drafted as I think only Luck, Hilton and Kelly were good enough to remain on the team while all the others were traded or completely out of the NFL. Not only did Grigson drafted nothing but busts, he did very little too help Luck as he didn't draft an offensive linemen until the 6th or 7th round. Luck's best RB was also old man Frank Gore. Grigson finally selected an offensive in Ryan Kelly after Luck got hurt.
Dang the 2020 class was freaking loaded at qb. Burrow, Tua, Herbert and Love. Along with others too. That was just a dang good class
I have never gone from chill to raging to chill within 3 seconds like I did when you crossed off Burrow before saying "nah I'm just kidding, it's still Joe Burrow". I tip my hat you sir, well played!

JaMarcus also lied about watching film. They gave him blank tapes one week because they suspected he wasn't watching them, and sure enough he claimed he learned what he was supposed to from them... 🤣
Fun fact: the Seahawks kicked off the legion of boom in the 2010 draft by picking Earl Thomas 14th overall. Sometimes it’s about picking the right player, not just the best.
I would argue that for 2012 draft, the Colts select Luke Kuechly. I understand your choice as it's a much needed position for the Colts, but Kuechly made every offense tremble with how well he could read the field. Dude was the QB of defense.
AND the Colts wouldn't have needed to draft a QB because they still had Peyton. Bolstering the defense so that Peyton could've retired a Colt 😭

Can we take a moment to imagine what would've happened to Bill if he didn't draft Tom in the 6th round? None of the players besides Tom, and the FB (Patrick Pass) from the entire draft that year played more than 5 seasons
If Vick never gets into dogfighting, I think he's worth the number 1 pick. Even when he came back to Philly, he was a great QB. Didn't have the full longevity of Brees, but would've been the franchise QB for an entire decade at least.
I found out today I still have Vick’s Jersey! It’s awkward looking at it now though because I got that jersey literally right before he got thrown in jail for the dogfighting. This also made me glad that Matt Ryan came to Atlanta because boy was I nervous someone else was gonna scoop him up!
Michael Vick was always a bigger threat as a runner than passing. Drew Brees was the more accurate passer their rookie year; he just didn't make highlights in college being on a lousy Perdue team compared to Virginia Tech which Vick took to the BCS national championship game. In the NFL great pocket passers always beat run first quarterbacks in the playoffs.

I think we have at this point. Yeah, we did still get in the playoffs in 2017, but aside from that, we have never recovered from that loss. We haven’t had any more than 7 wins in these last 6 seasons, lost at least 10 times 4 seasons, and we no longer have a QB.

Hi! Colts fan here!
Adam V was an absolute legend for years with both the Pats and the Colts. He was the best in the league for a long time!
Luck was killed by his lack of an O-line. Russell Wilson would have faced the same situation. Wilson is, or at least was, good, but he's no Andrew Luck. Luck should have gone down as one of the best QBs of all time, instead he'll be looked back as one of the great what-ifs of 2000's football.

FINALLY SOME JUSTIN TUCKER LOVE
I'm mostly in agreement, however taking Justin Tucker or any kicker in the 1st round (let alone #1 overall) is not a good idea simply because kickers only appear in a handful of plays per game. Yes, having a reliable kicker is important, but the other positions aside from punter are more valuable because they are involved in more plays per game.

Awesome video. Regarding the 2000 Draft, as we could never know what Brady would have achieved in Cleveland, another possible player that could have been picked instead was Brian Urlacher.
Absolutely. I don't think that the Browns would give up on Tim Couch after one year.
I’m a lifelong Browns fan, Brady would’ve been a nobody backup in Cleveland. They came back in 1999…they were an expansion team, not the NE Patriots with Bill and a defense that had all pro and pro bowl talent everywhere and a pro bowl QB in Drew Bledsoe for him to sit behind and learn from for a year because Tim Couch did in fact go down in 01 and 02 so it’s possible if the Browns took Brady instead of Spergon Wynn that he would’ve seen playing time in Cleveland and there wouldn’t be some miracle run he goes on that sparks his legend, he’d be just another name on that famous Browns QB jersey

Yes, yes it would be. There's a reason there's been 3 kickers taken in the first round ever. They're important, but a guy who only sees the field 10 plays a game is just not as important as even an average QB. Again, they're important as the can directly and dramatically win you games, but there's a reason they go mid to late rounds or undrafted.

obviously at this point you'd say stroud. It's early yet though I think Aikman was 1-15 his rookie year.
This should’ve been limited to only certain positions - QB, OT, DT/Edge. Those are the only realistic positions that get taken 1st overall. A Safety or a Guard would just never make sense
Already enjoy ur content. Knowing ur a pats fan tho makes it even better
Oof, Kirk Cousins catching strays he doesn’t deserve.
Yeah, not sure if he's unaware of just how trash Glennon was or how solid Cousins is, but dayum!
"Does Tom Brady turn into Tom Brady if he goes to Cleveland?"
Me: *Burst out laughing* Oh wait, you were serious?
Who knows how he would've developed
@@averagecoasterenjoyer Probably into a bust due to some career ending injury in Cleveland and another name on the list and no Patriots dynasty to torture the NFL for 20 years
@@Tadicuslegion78 I hold the belief that if Tom Brady goes to any other team, Tom Brady isn't the goat
Imagine the Texans D-line with prime JJ Watt and Aaron Donald. As a Texans fan, thank you!
Also in the 2001 draft the Falcons could have had LT and Breeze (2 HOFs) if they'd played it right.
In Justin Fields defense, he hasn’t had a lot of help. Yes he broke a rushing record, so that’s cool, but it was mostly because his line couldn’t block a toddler so he was ALWAYS running. We got a tackle in the draft and some others will be healthy again to start the year (Tevin Jenkins was hurt a lot last year as a rookie), plus he’ll have DJ Moore on the field too so it’s now on him and Eberflus to put it together.
Not to mention having Nagy call plays his first year...
