the problem with tomlin is not only is he loyal to a fault but he doesn’t like guys smarter than him. there is no reason why canada lasted as long as he did, no way you let brian flores walk out of the door, no way you let bruce arians and todd haley go for randy fitchner and now there is no reason why teryl austin still employed
It's football and the thing about football is that it's football. You can't just do what you want or manifest your desired life you are without control The only thing you can control is yourself through your thoughts and actions. That's what football is.
The Steelers are reaching a crossroads, cause it has to come to a point when the defense cannot keep bailing such an anemic offense forever. Right now, the primary problem with the Steelers is the offensive side of the ball. Even though a lot of the blame is on not finding Roethlisberger's heir apparent early enough, but their offensive line is a shadow of their prime blocking for the Killer Bs. It may also explain why Najee Harris was not used so much, although it can also be blamed on the offensive coordinators (Matt Canada and Arthur Smith). The wideouts are good, but attitude problems keep holding them back from their potential, which points to a culture problem in the locker room. As a Ravens fan, I had to watch as Ray Lewis and Ed Reed waste their prime years cause our QB ain't good enough to cut it, and this is exactly the same situation which the Steelers are heading towards. It will be a travesty for guys like TJ Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick waste their prime years carrying their team when the offense can barely play their part. If Steelers GM Omar Khan does not play his cards well, this Steelers team may be looking at a rebuild ahead. TJ Watt only has 1 year left on his current deal, Fitzpatrick has 2 years left, Cam Heyward is turning 36 this year, there really is only so much time left to make the best of this defensive unit.
Cowher had success in the postseason without one. Made a SB, several AFC championships, and wasn't known for late season collapses. Besides that, when Tomlin DID have a QB he did nothing with. Tomlin was gifted a SB contender, with an established culture and identity, and a franchise QB who hadn't even hit his peak yet. Once those players faded out, he couldn't put together all the pieces to get to the top. Idc who they have under center, it could be Mahommes, this team will never see postseason success under Tomlin. He's never been known as an X's & O's guy, but the motivator style coach (or cheerleader according to Bradshaw lol). He could win like that if he was capable of hiring competent assistants but he can't, and has always meddled in the defense over his DC. He sucks at preparation, scheme, game management, and now for the better part of a decade, the his teams fall apart late in the season. Tomlin is a good enough coach to win in the postseason with a team that's already a contender. He can't build one himself.
Having a winning season... is the bare minimum.... why is it dumb asses keep bringing up," tomlins never had a losing season"? Thats what a coach is supposed to do WTF
I'd say give him at least another season, if it's still the same then for the betterment of both parties it's time to part ways. A change of scenery might do both the franchise and Tomlin more good
The Pittsburgh Steelers now are what the Detroit Red Wings were not so long ago. Always good enough to just get into the playoffs but never good enough to not get eliminated immediately. Never ending case of mid until it all crashes down hard
MIke Mccarthy is arguably an equal coach and is riddiculed by everyone when he loses but whenever anyone brings up Tomlins inadequacies the national media calls you racist and screams and points at "hes never had a losing season" while fumblinig overthemselves to find any other argument on why he's a good coach.
McCarthy is, imo, the better coach. And most people regard him as an elite coach. He did a good job in Dallas with minimal talent, Jones is foolish to let he get away. And Pittsburgh is foolish to do the same.
Correction: Tomlin won a Super Bowl with bill cowhers players. Since then he’s had his own roster of good to great players and he has nothing to show for it. Tj watt is on pace to never win a PLAYOFF game in his career! Which is sad to see
The Steelers don't believe in 'Tanking'. Never have, never will. That's a Rooney thing. The franchise did enough losing before the merger, to know how that affects their fanbase.
Stop! Did you just say Mike Tomlin is an incredible coach who needs an elite QB to win in the postseason? You are aware that he had HOF QB Ben Roethlisberger his entire time in Pittsburgh until Ben retired just 3 short years ago. Stop making excuses for him. He is not a good coach. He is a fraudulent coach.

Tomil is the greatest floor raiser coach in the league
61 TDs between a QB and a running back in one season is terrifying.
Brooooo where's that new Commanders video!!!?! Lol
But in all seriousness, I'm super happy for you guys, you guys deserve. What a squad! 👏🏿
Love when I click on a Steelers video and the ravens get talked about for half the video

We are in QB purgatory, hard to win big games without one
Not worth sacking your coach off to tank for a season tho

Love your video J&D and keep up the great work you are awesome
As a Steelers fan, I love Tomlin. I'm ride or die. I love the Steelers. I love the coach. We'll have our time again.

Tomlin is trash, who has never built a championship team. We will never sniff another sb with him as coach

What's the point of making the playoffs just to lose, the Steelers should be trying for high draft picks instead! 😏
@@bigfootwalker5399 JESUS CHRIST Loves everyone so much! ❤ AMEN.
@bigfootwalker5399 the problem on defense Pittsburgh has a lot of pieces they need a offense and a better coaching staff

Is this Mike Tomlin's ongoing Fat Elvis phase that will never end?
You don't win much without a quality QB. The Steelers have struggled ever since B. Rothlisberger retired.
Fire Dan Campbell!!! Oh wait wrong team. Lol
Jared goff is booty. Not his fault
Trade Tomlin
