Funnily enough, in MKX, if you select the player 2 colours for Triborg Smoke, you can actually play as him with his classic purple colour scheme. It's kinda weird that they chose the black and grey for his default colour scheme, since, being a reference to his human ninja colours, it would have probably worked better as an alternate colour scheme.

I love you make these videos I got a concussion last year and could practically do nothing until I learned about costumes and I started sketching my own costume designs and it made me feel so much better and whenever I see these videos I always smile to see someone else appreciating costumes as much as me your videos are great ❤❤
I do like the MK1 costumes for Smoke the most so far. He stands out way more while also feeling like his own character and not just a palette swap. I always felt that Smoke was the weakest in memorability, only stronger than Chameleon--fighting words, I know--since the gray hardly did him many favors. Outside of MK1, the most memorable design was his base look in Deception. Agree with MK9's hair. It needed to go, but I wasn't a fan of his alt skin either because it reminded me too much of Sub-Zero's. I'm hoping for Sindel's costumes next. She's had a few REALLY good ones and I can't wait to see where my favorite design of her places.

A little of a hot take here: I think that UMK3 ninja costumes are the absolute worst from the old ninja designs. I can't really think why. I just know I hate those designs. everytime I see a "classic" skin ended up being UMK3 desings, I really get angry 😅
