Yeah, Lurantis isn't the best. It's essentially a slower version of Serparior, and that is available with the QR island scan. Tsareena's ability definitely makes it a better option though.

Name Man I can understand why he switched it out, sparkling aria has a high base bp and lets you use the z-move and that 30% burn chance from scald is pretty useless on an in game playthrough
>Lurantis is my favorite Sun and Moon Pokémon. Today, children, we learn what biased opinions look like. Let's ignore the fact that Tsareena outclasses it completely. It also really feel like this team tries to over prepare for Olivia. Why? >Jolteon is better than Alolan Raichu because Raichu's only hard hitting Electric move is Discharge. Proceed to completely undermine that argument by saying Jolteon will be stuck with Thunder Shock until it learns... Discharge...
I bet Game Freak, in the last moments before its release, switched all of the Kahunas' Pokémon to be weak to Popplio just to screw over all the Popplio haters.
The good thing about sun and moon is that you have so much good teams! I am doing my 2nd playthrough right now and there are still so much more options to build a team
If anyone is interested, my first team was: Decidueye, Vikavolt, Lycanroc Midnight, Salazzle, Golisopod and Kommo-o The team I use right now is heavily based around island scan: Incineroar, Meganium, Luxray, Fereligatr, Haxorus and Crobat I wanted to have a fun team with all these rare pokemon in my second playthrough, hence the 4 island scan pokemon
@MysticUmbreon Thank you! This team really helped me through my first playthrough of Pokemon Sun. I'm so happy you used my favorite Alolan Pokemon, Kommo-o.
Can you please explain why Lurantis is better than the Tsareena you can get on Route 5? In my eyes Tsareena is better in stats, movepool and abilities. Especially because the Bounsweet you can get traded to you for a Lillipup in the Pokemon Center on Route 5 has a GUARANTUEED Adamant nature, which is PERFECT.
TheJH1015 also the Bounsweet will have an exp boost and Tsareena is really a powerful pokemon, it was the best of my team. Trop Kick and High Jump Kick really helped me throughout the game
Tsareena has weak special attack and high physical attack but lacks strong physical grass moves. It has trop kick but aside from that there isn't much. Lurantis has a very good physical attack and learns petal blizzard, leaf blade and solar blade, all strong physical grass moves. Lurantis also learns leech life, which is amazing in this game but Tsareena can't learn leech life. As for the trade exp boost, if you use pokemon amie, your Lurantis will also have get the exp boost. This arguably makes Lurantis better than Tsareena even though Lurantis is much slower.
If you're like me and didn't WANT to use a bunch of Gen I Pokemon, here's an idea if you wanted to use only Gen VII (obviously excluding Alolan forms), had both games, chose 2 different starters: Team One: -Decidueye -Wishiwashi -Vikavolt -Ribombee -Turtonator -Bewear Team Two: -Primarina -Lycanroc -Mimikyu -Salazzle -Golisopod -Kommo-o (Before I got Kommo-o, for a long time I used Lurantis, especially for totem Wishiwashi) Both teams will get you through the game with very little difficulty, and they're alot of fun to use if you wanna explore the game with a full team of Pokemon you've never used before!!!
TheTaylorShow well i got both of the games and here are my teams Sun: Incenaroar Wishiwashi Vikavolt Mudsdale Lycanroc Whimscott( I used to use lurantis but i needed a faster mon) Moon: Decuideye Toucannon Magnezone Golisipod Kommo-o Arcanine
I agree with the team for the most part. The only two changes I would make to it are replace Lurantis with Tsareena, and replace Jolteon with Magnezone. Magnemite can be obtained at the same time as Alolan Grimer and has an excellent typing, resisting 11 out of 17 types. Like Jolteon, it learns Discharge through level up and eventually learns Flash Cannon for more coverage and additional STAB. You can obtain the Eviolite in Koni Koni city and keep it on all the way until Vast Poni Canyon. Eviolite Magneton will have very little problems throughout the game. Someone in the Route 5 Pokemon center will trade you a Bounsweet for a Lillipup. The Bounsweet has an Adamant nature and has the description "Likes to thrash about", so it possibly has perfect Attack IVs. Other than that, I think it's perfect.
While I can see the ability in this team, I like mine to be a bit more versatile, so no single type Pokemon. Mine goes like this: Decidueye (Grass/Ghost) Kommo-o (Dragon/Fighting) Raichu (Electric/Psychic) Salazzle (Poison/Fire) Golisopod (Bug/Water) Krookadile (Dark/Ground) Every other type, or most of them can pretty much be learnt by these Pokemon too. Trying to create constant super effective scenarios.
Even after scrolling for a while, I seriously couldn't find anyone who posted the final team, so here you go :) [Brackets are for earliest place where you can find the pokemon], _Italics_ are for STAB moves, (Parenthesis) are for moves to use while waiting to learn the chosen move Also, if the distinction wasn't clear, this is for SM, _not_ USUM 1. *Primarina* - _Scald_ (Bubblebeam -> Water Pledge) _Moonblast_ (Disarming Voice) Ice Beam(Shadow Ball) Energy Ball 2. *Alolan Muk* [Trainer School, Hau'oli Outskirts] - _Crunch_ (Bite) _Gunk Shot_ (Poison Fang) Brick Break Rock Slide 3. *Lurantis* [Route 5] - _Leaf Blade_ Leech Life Aerial Ace Brick Break 4. *Jolteon* [Egg from Daycare] - _Thunderbolt_ (Thundershock -> Discharge) Thunder Wave _Volt Switch_ Shadow Ball 5. *Alolan Dugtrio* [Verdant Cavern, Diglett Tunnel] - _Earthquake_ (Bulldoze) _Iron Head_ (Metal Claw) Aerial Ace Stone Edge 6. *Kommo-o* [Poni Island] - _Dragon Claw_ _Brick Break_ Poison Jab Rock Slide Extra Notes: I will even unnecessarily include the (in my opinion) optimal natures in parenthesis *Primarina* (Modest/Timid) - Water Pledge can be found at move tutor in mall of Hau'oli City; As said in the video, Ice Beam is not found till just before the Elite Four; Psychic is a strong alternative to Energy Ball due to its super effectiveness to Fairy's weakness Poison, but Energy Ball is still good for water types *Alolan Muk* (Adamant/Careful) - Gunk shot has a base power of 120, but if you are uncomfortable with the 80 accuracy, you can opt for Poison Jab, which has a base power of 80 and accuracy of 100 *Lurantis* (Adamant/Impish) - Because you will not be able to get Jolteon before Lana's trial, you should train up your then Fomantis for an easier time against totem Wishiwashi. For people playing on Moon, to evolve into Lurantis, you will need to level Fomantis up (Starting at lvl 34) during the in game day, or between 6:00PM-5:59AM (18:00-05:59) on your 3DS time. For more on that, you can visit bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Time#Time-based_evolutions ; A _very_ strong alternative to Lurantis is *Tsareena* (Adamant/Jolly){Trop Kick U-Turn High Jump Kick/Low Sweep Acrobatics}, which you can trade an NPC in the Route 5 pokemon center for her first pre-evolution for a Lillipup that you can catch in Route 4 or 5. Tsareena has a superior ability in Queenly Majesty, which prevents opponents from hitting her with priority moves (like quick attack or aqua jet) and superior base stats in all but Sp. Atk, however, her learn/moveset is slightly different. Additionally, if you use the traded Tsareena, you will have an easier time lvling due to traded xp bonus, and you can evolve her starting at lvl 30, instead of Lurantis at lvl 34. If you wish to go with Tsareena, you can evolve her previous form, Steenee, when you lvl her up while knowing the move Stomp. If you're curious what I decided, after seeing the discrepancy in base stats, I was very tempted to opt for Tsareena, but ultimately, I prefer Lurantis' moveset over Tsareena's. Plus, I like Lurantis' design better as well *Jolteon* (Modest/Timid) - Thunderstone can be found on Route 8 or the shop on Konikoni City, so you _CANNOT_ evolve into Jolteon before taking on totem Wishiwashi. I'll be honest, I wanted to use gen 7 pokemon, so I would recommend *Vikavolt* (Modest/Quiet){Thunderbolt Bug Buzz Energy Ball/Hidden Power Water Flash Cannon/Volt Switch/Thunder Wave/Agility} instead, if you feel the same. Grubbin can be found in Route 4 and 5. The major downside to this is the Vikavolt line's pitiful base speed stat and you can't evolve Charjabug till Vast Poni Canyon. The moveset I'd recommend for before Vikavolt is {Spark Crunch(Bite) Bug Bite/X-Scissor Thunder Wave/Volt Switch}, since the pre-evolutions are physical attackers, while Vikavolt is a Sp. Attacker *Alolan Dugtrio* (Adamant/Jolly) - The hair is weird, you can @ me *Kommo-o* (Adamant/Jolly) - I haven't reached that part of the game yet, but I love the design and typing of the pokemon, so I imagine I'd definitely pick it up for my team. In the meantime, I've slotted *Toucannon*(Adamant/Jolly){Beak Blast/Aerial Ace Brick Break Flame Charge/U-turn Pluck/Drill Peck/Roost}, since you can pick up Pikipek literally at the beginning of the game, and I honestly quite like Toucannon's design As of writing this comment, I personally am approaching the Grass trial on my first ever playthrough, but I'm playing with my own team of course. That being said, I do _not_ know all there is to know of the game, I am simply just leaving this here for the rest of the internet's benefit
you can replace Alolan Muk with Salazzle if you want a fire type. getting a female Salandit is really easy if you have a male Sylveon, which is really easy to get. I used one, and Totem Lurantis sh!t its pants.
Awesome team👌,no struggles at all,I used tsareena as my grass though, and also lycanron(day) till I got kommo-o,a fast rock type is useful against those bug Pokemons we face in the game.none of my Pokemon ever fainted in any battle in the game with your team, amazing job👍
This team is very…ok, my team was Decidueye, Magnemite, Ribombee, Mudsdale, Gyarados, and Salazzle, this team did incredibly well for me and was so fun to just stomp out the game, the only struggle I had was early game with for type moves, so it’ll be a good idea to grab a Slowpoke, or maybe a Munchlax temporarily
My team consists of Primarina, Lurantis, Alolan Marowak (an underrated pokemon), Vikavolt, Hawlucha, and Lycanroc. An unbalanced team, I know, ill try this one in another savefile. Nice video tho.
Pretty pointless comment. Anybody can get a Pokemon high level enough and beat the game it doesn't take that much skill. This video is for anyone who wants to play the game properly without having to overlevel anything. You say "anything" but I am pretty sure if you were to bring a Pokemon with a severe type disadvantage it would probably faint.
I had two teams for sun and moon cause yeah Sun Incineroar ( sun and moon is one of the only regions I like all of the starters) Tsareena ( prefer her to lurantis for stat purposes, plus you can get one with an npc trade before Lana’s trial so I could actually not die doing it) Pelipper (it so cute and so fast I’m weirded out) Alolan ninetails( beautiful and good for dragon coverage on the last trial) Alolan muk (surprisingly beefy and strong) Todegarmru (idfk how to spell it, and I’m a sucker for the Pikachu clones each gen, I loved and used dedenne in Kalos, and suffered through a plusle in oras ( later switched to cosplay Pikachu hehehe) Moon Primarina ( really liked final evolution) Salazzle ( got lucky with getting a female hehehe) Oricorio pompom (electric bird, kinda sucked until I got revelation dance but I really enjoyed it and it was so cute lol) Alolan exeggutor ( you get it dummy late but it’s so derpy I needed it) Crabrawler (thought it was cool, kinda bad until it evolves which is basically at the end. Before it evolves its too squishy) Mimikyu (ability is op and it’s technically another Pikachu clone I guess. Was my favorite new Pokémon of the gen. I didn’t know it was dairy until after I got it tho)
You get Dhelmise so late, and if you get a level 17 one like I did when I fished it up, then Dhelmise is an outlier. I prefer Lurantis over Tsareena but that's personal preference, people seem to think they are interchangeable in the main game.
Jimi Jams I give lurantis the love of a starter. it has a great design in game not a good typing I wish I'd had the fairy typing like I thought it would when I saw the art work. in refresh i leveled it up to full affection naturally without rainbow beans and always was first out the pokeball next to my primarina.
Leedo925 At the fishing spot directly outside the "Steelix boat", it is 10% while there are bubbles there, so it only took me about 20 minutes of resetting the location by going back inside the boat, then going back outside to get more bubbles to appear.
He technically is and he isnt. There was no Pokemon league in Alola before Kukui made one. Thats why the Elite Four are comprised of Trial Captins and Kahunas. Since this was their first attempt, there was no official Champion. Makes perfect sense that the final challenge should be the man who made the Alolan League
The team I'll use will be Primarina Alolan Raichu Alolan Ninetales Toucannon Lycanroc (Midday) Palossand That will be my sun team and then Incineroar (from Eryizo's video) and the rest of this video's team for moon.
My Moon team: -Decidueye (Grass/Ghost) -Wishiwashi (Water) -Salazzle (Fire/Poison) -Vikavolt (Electric/Bug) -Toucannon (Normal/Flying) -Crabominable (Ice/Fighting) This team helped me sweep the entire game with great ease. Only gripe was how long Crabominable took to become a beast.
I don't understand, why Lurantis and not Tsareena? Tsareena is Overall a better pokemon Lurantis's attack is 105 while Tsareena's is at 120 Lurantis's Speed is lower than Tsareena's (Lurantis Speed=45, Tsareena Speed=72) Lurantis defends and spec. def is also lower than Tsareena's (Lurantis def and spec. def= 90, Tsareena def and spec. def=98) The only thing Lurantis is better than Tsareena is the Special attack stat but Tsareena doesn't need it anyway. And you could replace jolteon with magenzone
x Hasan They explained Tsareena in the comments, but Jolteon is better because it has 130 Speed, meaning it can outspeed every Pokemon in Alola, even the fastest, Ribombee.
Steel has plenty of good resistances, so I don't get why that particular type combo has too many type weaknesses; it has a particularly good set of resistances. Then again, Alola Dugtrio can't make use of its typing defensively because it's stupidly frail.
Tell me Alolan Marowak is on here right? You can get cubone right before Kiawe's trial and one shot the Salazzle. You can easily get a thick club to give it an insane attack using thief.
Not to mention cursed body disabling moves and if you can be patient enough to get battle armor you can get a Marowak with no recoil flare blitz and double edge.
Bryce McCandless But one thing. It doesn't get a ghost move. And flare blitz isn't learned for awhile. If it learned shadow bone at level 28 it would be amazing
Luke Hunter You get flame charge really soon on. And honestly, there's not much need for ghost since it learns so many dark moves. Not to mention bone Mara get being the same base power as earthquake and thick club boosting your attack stat greater than a 160 base attack.
I’ve just completed my second play through using an all flying(ish) team: Decidueye Pelipper Drifblim Talonflame Archeops Vikavolt Surprisingly it was one of my best teams I’ve ever used, thoroughly recommend a full flying team
This gen was very good to Ghost types, with some fun stand outs such as Decidueye, Lunala, Mimikyu, and even Palosand. That's just my opinion, it's pretty irelavent
Brick break is the best move because: 1: its power is really good, along with countering protect spammers 2:It's a TM, so it's relatively easy to get. 3:so many Pokemon can learn it in sun and moon.
Jack Mentone o, onjh6g6yrreeee and the rest is not the only way I could have a good 10 the 2nd of May to the UK for the next couple days of receipt for your email and password to access your reservation number to the UK for their designs and the rest is not the only way I could 24 frames of the most important things in the morning of a few minutes to get a quote from you and the rest is not the only way I could have a good time forum to get your hands free this Ee
I don't even have these games, nor have I even seen them in stores. I'm just here to learn what Pokemon are good in the rather unknown region to me! XD
I just go with a diverse team. My first few playthroughs were with Litten. This time I chose Popplio and this time I decided to build a team with pokemon only from Melemele island. This is what I ended up with: Alolan Dugtrio Alolan Raticate Hariyama Vikavolt Arcanine Primarina btw this team actually owns despite any misconceptions you might have. even Raticate and Hariyama pull their weight well. I would argue that Hariyama is perhaps the best choice for a fighting type in the entire game for a playthrough.
but seriously I love that after you give the mask to kukui after the first guzma encounter it zooms closet and close to kukui face until i the mask icon is right in his face
what are you talking about?! Tsareena is a million times better! It has better stats in all specters, except for spatk, which isn't gonna be used anyway. It get's trop kick, return, acrobatics, high jump kick, u-turn, facade, toxic, and razor leaf, all with a base attack stat of 120!!! And it's speed stat is 72, which is super high in alola. Lurantis' speed completely destroys it! And it only has decent defenses. But Tsareena has even better defenses! of course Lurantis has good attack, but it hasn't much else going for it.
Mine was: Incineroar Gengar Gardevoir Swampert Garchomp Gumshoos (don't ask why) For USUM, here's what I currently have: Incineroar Excadrill Alolan Ninetales Garchomp Arcanine Electivire or Greninja (I switch them every now and then)
much better choices than what was selected here: Tsareena>Lurantis Machamp, Hariyama, Primeape, Bewear, Pangoro, really almost *ANY* fighting type> Kommo-o
The Nerd Beast more like Primeria< Decidueye due to better stats and move options Alolan Muk< Salazzle due to better strategy options Alolan Dugtrio< Mudslade again due to strategy Lurantis< Araquanid due to better defenses, move pool, and ability Jolteon< Alolan Raichu due to more type coverage Kommo-o
M Muhamed yeah but the limited move typing gives Primeria very little to go on. The only useful moves it learns on its own are Sparkling Aria and Moonblast, and even then the effective list for both is extremely low. The only way it'll be useful would be to teach it Ice Beam and Psychic to cover its weaknesses. Plus it's only known for its special stats and there are better special sweepers
Btw Lilligant is an amazing Pokemon to add to your team. ------------ My Lilligants move set is: Giga Drain Leaf Storm Sleep Powder Leech Seed --------- The step by step play is Sleep Powder, Leech Seed to add chip damage, then Giga Drain or Leaf Storm. It’s a great addition due to its self-care giga drain and Leech seed where you barely need any heals. But you need potions to boost PP. I took out 2 whole teams with it alone. Hope this helps! Have fun!
"Scald has a 30% chance to burn"
Yeah, right. We all know the rate is 95% if it's used against you, and 5% if you're using it on something else.

Yeah, Lurantis isn't the best. It's essentially a slower version of Serparior, and that is available with the QR island scan. Tsareena's ability definitely makes it a better option though.

Today, children, we learn what biased opinions look like.
Let's ignore the fact that Tsareena outclasses it completely. It also really feel like this team tries to over prepare for Olivia. Why?
>Jolteon is better than Alolan Raichu because Raichu's only hard hitting Electric move is Discharge.

agreed! And in my opinion alolan raichu is soooooooo cute, and looks do matter too! ;)
Brandon Rodriguez ikr that's what I was thinking the whole video . Tsareena also gets hi jump kick and alolan raichu has psychic moves
SuperSnivyFan Alolan Raichu is absolutely precious~♡
It would be cool if they recapped the pokemon and their move set in the description

Its_Elkku exactly
Kennedy Ozemwogie I've watched this video 4 times because I'm too stupid to write stuff down

Dewang Huang wooosh
And then a klefki will wreck your whole team
I bet Game Freak, in the last moments before its release, switched all of the Kahunas' Pokémon to be weak to Popplio just to screw over all the Popplio haters.

Lol salty much
And those ones really rapes Inceneroar and Decudieye
Arxaion yeah
Using Incineroar a struggle in Lana trial
2017 and still waiting on Kalos...
Doctor Pokemon xD its up
shadow_wolf 2017 it's was a long time ago
Lord of Loneliness Alola Akbar
Smile \ STFU you fucking idiot
Doctor Pokemon 2017 and still waiting for sinnoh remake
The good thing about sun and moon is that you have so much good teams! I am doing my 2nd playthrough right now and there are still so much more options to build a team
If anyone is interested, my first team was: Decidueye, Vikavolt, Lycanroc Midnight, Salazzle, Golisopod and Kommo-o
The team I use right now is heavily based around island scan: Incineroar, Meganium, Luxray, Fereligatr, Haxorus and Crobat
I wanted to have a fun team with all these rare pokemon in my second playthrough, hence the 4 island scan pokemon
I like that second team.
Julian Smit luxray is the biggest life saver in the game
@MysticUmbreon Thank you! This team really helped me through my first playthrough of Pokemon Sun. I'm so happy you used my favorite Alolan Pokemon, Kommo-o.
Best team in kalos
Anything because gym leaders, champion, eltie four, evil team are weak as fu*k
BrainDamagedHorse yes. Why secret
CHALLENGE *looks closer* considered.....
ya there's no point I beat the hole game just using Blastoise
XY games were shit but luckily SM made up for that
Joni Vaca Best team for Kalos.
You can literally beat the Elite Four with a Magikarp and enough patience. That's how easy the game is.
BrainDamagedHorse i used that dianatha lost 2 me
alola spelled backwards is still alola. dats cool.
Reshiramlover1 ! no shit Sherlock -.-
Reshiramlover1 ! It's like Alomomola and Girafarig backwards
Plague Bomber And Eevee.
That should've been one of the questions for the Electric trial.
"What is Alola backwards?"
MangoFlavouredTea ! True
Mystic - Kalos will be coming soon!
-One weak Later-
No kalos
But we all know it's greninja
And Nanu and Hapu aren't in the elite 4
Spirit 101 Nanu didn't accept and Hapu, she was helping Lillie's mom, Lusamine get better
Spirit 101 it came out
1:08 when I saw that picture and saw that gladion was in team skull I flipped out
I am not getting that ugly Alolan Dugtrio.
I'm fine with using an ugly Pokemon so long as it's efficient.
Noah Detiege I used a chandelure and im starting to love it its in my hall of fame right now
Noah Detiege bitch he's fabulous
lol
Noah Detiege but, dat stunning hair though
Can you please explain why Lurantis is better than the Tsareena you can get on Route 5? In my eyes Tsareena is better in stats, movepool and abilities. Especially because the Bounsweet you can get traded to you for a Lillipup in the Pokemon Center on Route 5 has a GUARANTUEED Adamant nature, which is PERFECT.
TheJH1015 You can also get Fomantis on Route 5 in the wild
perhaps, but that doesn't change the fact that Tsareena is the better Grass type of the two in EVERY way!
TheJH1015 also the Bounsweet will have an exp boost and Tsareena is really a powerful pokemon, it was the best of my team. Trop Kick and High Jump Kick really helped me throughout the game
Gui Domingues same I gave it trop kick high jump kick leaf storm and aromatherapy to help out
Tsareena has weak special attack and high physical attack but lacks strong physical grass moves.
**Laughs in all alolan starters and legendaries**
My Alola team is
1.Decidueye
2.Lurantis
3.Crobat (Traded from my dad)
4.Alolan Ninetales
5.Wishiwashi
6.Lycanroc (day form)
I forgot how the order was
I wish I had a dad half as modern as yours if he plays pokemon.
Double Elementals why do you have 2 grass types
My team:
Incineroar
Magnezone
Ribombee
Gengar
Tsareena (in game trade)
Poliwrath (in game trade)
Your dad playd pokemon?
a crobat traded from your dad...how precious is this T__T
One thing. Remember to say there's story spoilers, so people don't get spoiled about the champion, what lusamine is like etc.
Finn Poag The game has been out for almost a month, they don't need spoiler warnings.
DestinyXSoul doesn't mean that everybody has the game. I do, but many people are getting it for Christmas.
It's the best team for alola... of course they will say why the pokemon does good against gym leaders and such
Tbh the "what Lusamine is like" pretty much makes it clear she's evil.
mystic give us a kalos team
Safan Shaikh yess do pokemon kalos
It would be really helpful if u do a kalos team mystic
No cause he is in south pak he can't do vidoes
Safan Shaikh THERES ONE NOW.
rektTV he said that 2 months ago it probably wasn't up yet
If you're like me and didn't WANT to use a bunch of Gen I Pokemon, here's an idea if you wanted to use only Gen VII (obviously excluding Alolan forms), had both games, chose 2 different starters:
Team One:
-Decidueye
-Wishiwashi
-Vikavolt
-Ribombee
-Turtonator
-Bewear
Team Two:
-Primarina
-Lycanroc
-Mimikyu
-Salazzle
-Golisopod
-Kommo-o (Before I got Kommo-o, for a long time I used Lurantis, especially for totem Wishiwashi)
Both teams will get you through the game with very little difficulty, and they're alot of fun to use if you wanna explore the game with a full team of Pokemon you've never used before!!!
TheTaylorShow what about Incineroar?
I like Incineroar! I'm using him in my current playthrough. I just haven't finished a team with yet, so I don't have a full team with him.
TheTaylorShow well i got both of the games and here are my teams
Sun:
Incenaroar
Wishiwashi
Vikavolt
Mudsdale
Lycanroc
Whimscott( I used to use lurantis but i needed a faster mon)
Moon:
Decuideye
Toucannon
Magnezone
Golisipod
Kommo-o
Arcanine
Andrew Santoso good team
Did you finish with the team now?
Mine goes like this:
Decidueye (Grass/Ghost)
Kommo-o (Dragon/Fighting)
Raichu (Electric/Psychic)
Salazzle (Poison/Fire)
Golisopod (Bug/Water)
Krookadile (Dark/Ground)
Every other type, or most of them can pretty much be learnt by these Pokemon too. Trying to create constant super effective scenarios.
Reece Gillatt mines one is close to yours
My team is same except I have greninja instead of golispod and lycanroc instead of krookodile
I like how the Pokémon Analyst TH-camrs respect each other's set of series, and give credit where credit is due.
I would pick Tsareena over Lurantis. Sure, it doesn't have best movepool, but the base 120 attack and better bulk and speed really help.
Even after scrolling for a while, I seriously couldn't find anyone who posted the final team, so here you go :)
[Brackets are for earliest place where you can find the pokemon], _Italics_ are for STAB moves, (Parenthesis) are for moves to use while waiting to learn the chosen move
Also, if the distinction wasn't clear, this is for SM, _not_ USUM
1. *Primarina* - _Scald_ (Bubblebeam -> Water Pledge) _Moonblast_ (Disarming Voice) Ice Beam(Shadow Ball) Energy Ball
2. *Alolan Muk* [Trainer School, Hau'oli Outskirts] - _Crunch_ (Bite) _Gunk Shot_ (Poison Fang) Brick Break Rock Slide
3. *Lurantis* [Route 5] - _Leaf Blade_ Leech Life Aerial Ace Brick Break
4. *Jolteon* [Egg from Daycare] - _Thunderbolt_ (Thundershock -> Discharge) Thunder Wave _Volt Switch_ Shadow Ball
5. *Alolan Dugtrio* [Verdant Cavern, Diglett Tunnel] - _Earthquake_ (Bulldoze) _Iron Head_ (Metal Claw) Aerial Ace Stone Edge
6. *Kommo-o* [Poni Island] - _Dragon Claw_ _Brick Break_ Poison Jab Rock Slide
Extra Notes: I will even unnecessarily include the (in my opinion) optimal natures in parenthesis
*Primarina* (Modest/Timid) - Water Pledge can be found at move tutor in mall of Hau'oli City; As said in the video, Ice Beam is not found till just before the Elite Four; Psychic is a strong alternative to Energy Ball due to its super effectiveness to Fairy's weakness Poison, but Energy Ball is still good for water types
*Alolan Muk* (Adamant/Careful) - Gunk shot has a base power of 120, but if you are uncomfortable with the 80 accuracy, you can opt for Poison Jab, which has a base power of 80 and accuracy of 100
*Lurantis* (Adamant/Impish) - Because you will not be able to get Jolteon before Lana's trial, you should train up your then Fomantis for an easier time against totem Wishiwashi. Plus, I like Lurantis' design better as well
*Jolteon* (Modest/Timid) - Thunderstone can be found on Route 8 or the shop on Konikoni City, so you _CANNOT_ evolve into Jolteon before taking on totem Wishiwashi. Attacker
*Alolan Dugtrio* (Adamant/Jolly) - The hair is weird, you can @ me
*Kommo-o* (Adamant/Jolly) - I haven't reached that part of the game yet, but I love the design and typing of the pokemon, so I imagine I'd definitely pick it up for my team. In the meantime, I've slotted *Toucannon*(Adamant/Jolly){Beak Blast/Aerial Ace Brick Break Flame Charge/U-turn Pluck/Drill Peck/Roost}, since you can pick up Pikipek literally at the beginning of the game, and I honestly quite like Toucannon's design
As of writing this comment, I personally am approaching the Grass trial on my first ever playthrough, but I'm playing with my own team of course. That being said, I do _not_ know all there is to know of the game, I am simply just leaving this here for the rest of the internet's benefit
Thanks so much
"kukui's snorlax is the toughest pokemon you'll face in his team"
Me: I didn't had a problem at all when I faced that thing... Hmmm..
@gaming humans lmao I used my lucario HAHA
where's the fire type?
Aaron you don’t have to have one
you can replace Alolan Muk with Salazzle if you want a fire type. getting a female Salandit is really easy if you have a male Sylveon, which is really easy to get. I used one, and Totem Lurantis sh!t its pants.
I replaced koamo-o or what ever its called or spelled with Marowak
Aaron p
@@raiyanchowdhury7898 Indian?
Finally, poketubers who can appreciate the beauty of Popplio
yeah ikr
Wreck-It Rhyperior I like popplio, it's my least favourite of them, but it's not the horror that is Delphox, I liked fennekin and braixen
Primeina- Scald, Moonblast, Ice beam, Energy ball
Muck- Sludge bomb, Crunch, brick break, rock slide
Lurantis- leaf blade, leach life, arial ace, brick break
Jolteon- Discharge, thunder wave, volt switch, shadow ball
Dugtrio- Earthquake, iron head, aerial ace, stone hedge
Komo-ho- dragon claw, brick break, poison jab, rock slide
Not a single Normal move. And only one status move.
Awesome team👌,no struggles at all,I used tsareena as my grass though, and also lycanron(day) till I got kommo-o,a fast rock type is useful against those bug Pokemons we face in the game.none of my Pokemon ever fainted in any battle in the game with your team, amazing job👍
This team is very…ok, my team was Decidueye, Magnemite, Ribombee, Mudsdale, Gyarados, and Salazzle, this team did incredibly well for me and was so fun to just stomp out the game, the only struggle I had was early game with for type moves, so it’ll be a good idea to grab a Slowpoke, or maybe a Munchlax temporarily
im still plaing in 2022 hahaha. i have gyrados, talonflame, incineroar, leafeon, lycanroc, and haryama
Wait, can't Lurantis use Solar Blade instead of Leaf Blade? I get that it has to charge, but can't it use that?
Jin Kwon it can, but 2 turns attacks are never really recommended since you can get knock out in the process
Gui Domingues sunny day
Jin Kwon It learns it very late and yes,two turn attacks are very bad.
Lurantis will likely be dead before it can even use the move, it's so damn slow.
DipPipPip- Comps n' stuff You can try using a sun team in the campaign.
My team consists of Primarina, Lurantis, Alolan Marowak (an underrated pokemon), Vikavolt, Hawlucha, and Lycanroc. An unbalanced team, I know, ill try this one in another savefile. Nice video tho.
Pretty pointless video as you can clear the main game with pretty much anything.
You have every right to talk shit about this video...
Once you beat Totem Lurantis with a team of water-types.
Augie Bruno lol
Augie Bruno preach.
Bartosz Beszterda true, until you reach the battle tree :T
I'm so happy Lurantis and Primarina are my favorite pokemon
pippin pie omg you watch attack on titan too??? Love your photo for your youtube profile! Potato girl has to run!
same, lmao
I hate popplie
pippin pie same
I had two teams for sun and moon cause yeah
Sun
Incineroar ( sun and moon is one of the only regions I like all of the starters)
Tsareena ( prefer her to lurantis for stat purposes, plus you can get one with an npc trade before Lana’s trial so I could actually not die doing it)
Pelipper (it so cute and so fast I’m weirded out)
Alolan ninetails( beautiful and good for dragon coverage on the last trial)
Alolan muk (surprisingly beefy and strong)
Todegarmru (idfk how to spell it, and I’m a sucker for the Pikachu clones each gen, I loved and used dedenne in Kalos, and suffered through a plusle in oras ( later switched to cosplay Pikachu hehehe)
Moon
Primarina ( really liked final evolution)
Salazzle ( got lucky with getting a female hehehe)
Oricorio pompom (electric bird, kinda sucked until I got revelation dance but I really enjoyed it and it was so cute lol)
Alolan exeggutor ( you get it dummy late but it’s so derpy I needed it)
Crabrawler (thought it was cool, kinda bad until it evolves which is basically at the end. Before it evolves its too squishy)
Mimikyu (ability is op and it’s technically another Pikachu clone I guess. Was my favorite new Pokémon of the gen. I didn’t know it was dairy until after I got it tho)
Not a huge deal but holy crap this was five years ago?!?! Time flies I stg.
Wouldn't it be better to use Dhelmise or Tsareena over Lurantis? Because, you know, Lurantis' stats are terrible.
Jimi Jams Also good fucking luck trying to get a Dhelmise because you can only fish for it late game and it has a whopping 1% encounter rate.
Leedo925 10% if you do it in the right place
Leedo925 At the fishing spot directly outside the "Steelix boat", it is 10% while there are bubbles there, so it only took me about 20 minutes of resetting the location by going back inside the boat, then going back outside to get more bubbles to appear.
in the beginning of the video I got triggered when you said champion and you showed professor kukui
I didn't play sun and moon but I recalled Kukui was the champion
Kukui is the champion!!!!
Kukui is *NOT* the champion,dumbasses...
Oh fuck dis guy! ever played da game!!!!!
The team I used is:
Mudsdale
Decidueye
Lycanroc
Wishiwashi
Kommo-o
And Snorlax
I still breezed through the game in under 20 hours
I have a pretty similar team:
Decidueye
Lycanroc
Mudsdale
Kommo-o
Salazzle
Silvally
avaritia 87600 i thought type: null you could only get post game?
michael p Yep, I used Lunala until postgame and then immediately exchanged it with Type: Null
The team I'll use will be
Primarina
Alolan Raichu
Alolan Ninetales
Toucannon
Lycanroc (Midday)
Palossand
That will be my sun team and then Incineroar (from Eryizo's video) and the rest of this video's team for moon.
My Moon team:
-Decidueye (Grass/Ghost)
-Wishiwashi (Water)
-Salazzle (Fire/Poison)
-Vikavolt (Electric/Bug)
-Toucannon (Normal/Flying)
-Crabominable (Ice/Fighting)
This team helped me sweep the entire game with great ease. Only gripe was how long Crabominable took to become a beast.
I love how u said that Jolteon would be useful against totem wishiwashi but it is impossible to get the stone before that trial
So how am I suppose to beat totem wishwashi?

Willis Productions I wanted a team of only Alola pinned and Litten
Literally no video has that so I had to make my own
I don't understand, why Lurantis and not Tsareena? Tsareena is Overall a better pokemon
Lurantis's attack is 105 while Tsareena's is at 120
Lurantis's Speed is lower than Tsareena's (Lurantis Speed=45, Tsareena Speed=72)
Lurantis defends and spec. def is also lower than Tsareena's (Lurantis def and spec. def= 90, Tsareena def and spec. def=98)
The only thing Lurantis is better than Tsareena is the Special attack stat but Tsareena doesn't need it anyway.
And you could replace jolteon with magenzone
Lies I have both lv 100 and Lurantis won
Magicalcreeper Gaming These are their base stats, I looked it up and Tsareena is better
x Hasan They explained Tsareena in the comments, but Jolteon is better because it has 130 Speed, meaning it can outspeed every Pokemon in Alola, even the fastest, Ribombee.
That One TH-cam Guy But magnezone can take care of the fairy pokemon easily because of it's typing
x Hasan you do know that you have to level up magneton evolves in vast pony canyon
Which is pretty late to get magnezone
is it okay if i have a mudslale instead of dugtrio?
i know its slow but i like it better
Ian McManus Yea Mudsdale is more favorable as a ground type than dugtrio due to its much better hp and defense stat.
Ian McManus Yea, I have a dugtrio and it is very weak in many trials.
Also, it is weak to many types because it is ground and steel.
Steel has plenty of good resistances, so I don't get why that particular type combo has too many type weaknesses; it has a particularly good set of resistances. Then again, Alola Dugtrio can't make use of its typing defensively because it's stupidly frail.
Wait, dragon claw and brick break? Why not Clanging Scales and Close Combat?
Andrew Letsch it can't learn close combat.
Andrew Letsch Sky Uppercut
Andrew Letsch Kommo-o can't learn close combat. ( I wish it could but it can't)
clanging scales is special also. he's generally physically
Andrew Letsch close combat only has 5pp and those Pokemon I don't think can learn close combat

Parcus Navarro You weren't the only one
Incineroar is the best.
Parcus Navarro happened to my pikipek
Parcus Navarro
Used this team and had zero difficulty while playing. It was like using an Arceus with every move in gen 1
Luke Hunter
You get flame charge really soon on. And honestly, there's not much need for ghost since it learns so many dark moves. Not to mention bone Mara get being the same base power as earthquake and thick club boosting your attack stat greater than a 160 base attack.
+Bryce McCandless Where can you get a Thick Club though?
Random Guy111
Get a pokemon with thief and false swipe and start sos chaining Cubones, using thief to kill the ones that pop up.
I had a Lycanroc who carried most the game with:
*Rock Slide*
*Brick Break*
*Crunch*
*Swords Dance*
Me: I wanna have turtunator in my team
Also me: I want lycanroc midnight form
Got triggered....
If I recall, you can find the other version Lycanroc in Vast Poni Canyon, just not via evolution.
I’ve just completed my second play through using an all flying(ish) team:
Decidueye
Pelipper
Drifblim
Talonflame
Archeops
Vikavolt
Surprisingly it was one of my best teams I’ve ever used, thoroughly recommend a full flying team
George Radcliffe isn’t Vikavolt bug-electric?
Archie MacDonald flying-ish.
It can fly though so it counts
Vikavolt isn't flying type at all, but it is considered flying, so I will give you credit (Maybe go for a Toucannon w/ Skill Link?)
I just got 3 starters by grinding on Wonder Trade also got cool pokemon like Riolu :)
And guess what I just started the Game yesterday and got Crazy Pokemon XD
Miko Games that Takes the fun out of it
Miko Games I got a shiny wailord of grinding in wondertrade
I got a lvl 100 shiny magikarp through wonder trade, could have at least been 99 so i could evolve it.
I got level 100 shiny deoxys, shiny ditto and level 100 shiny beedrill from wonder trade
You cant get jolteon until after you beat kiawes trial, so you cant use it against totem wishiwashi unless you trade
Wrong
This gen was very good to Ghost types, with some fun stand outs such as Decidueye, Lunala, Mimikyu, and even Palosand. That's just my opinion, it's pretty irelavent
Brick break is the best move because:
1: its power is really good, along with countering protect spammers
2:It's a TM, so it's relatively easy to get.
3:so many Pokemon can learn it in sun and moon.
but i cant get my grimer to learn it somehow

necho cat ERR, try again. Primarina's no Empoleon, she's actually a special attacker. 126 Special Attack can oneshot a Decidueye with Blizzard.
InklingSethO DID YOU JUST ASSUMED PRIMARINA'S GENDER?
For me mimikyu is my mvp rn I’m replaying Pokémon moon and the disguise ability is so handy
When you said that Popplio is just about the best starter, I couldn't help but grab my Popplio plushy
I believe I used these for Sun:
Incineroar
Milotic
Tsareena
Mimikyu
Oricorio (Pom-Pom Style)
Goodra
@@cheesestabber5785 that's tough I got the game the same day it cam out
My Sun team was
Incineroar.
-Darkest Lariat.
-Flare Blitz.
-Leech Life.
-U-Turn.
Dragonite.
-Dragon Dance.
-Aqua Tail.
-Dragon Claw.
-Fire Punch.
Heliolisk.
-Dark Pulse.
-Volt Switch.
-Hyper Voice.
-Dragon Pulse.
Hawlucha.
-Bulk Up.
-Flying Press.
-Rock Slide.
-Poison Jab.
Sylveon.
-Shadow Ball.
-Calm Mind.
-Moonblast.
-Hyper Beam.
Ludicolo.
-Giga Drain.
-Ice Beam.
-Scald.
-Knock Off.
Ooooo~ Perfectly balanced team! I have some respect for ya~!
Incineroar actually does better than Primarina, though Decidueye is my favourite.
EPM 101 it does by a little bit
Decidueye is super cool. I cried a little after seeing it's speed, tho
Sultru i agree..especially its ability to use its music to create bubble..it relate to its primarium Z ...
its not as good at incineroar
EPM 101 same here
My Sun and Moon team is Incineroar, Lycanroc, Kommo-o, Golisopod, Tsareena and Alolan Sandslash/Ninetails
Decidueye - Frenzy Plant, Leaf Blade, Shadow Ball, Spirit Shackle,
ULTRA SUN: Frenzy Plant, Spirit Shackle, Leaf Storm, Phantom Force
Toucannon - Beak Blast, Fly, Hyper Voice, Hidden Power.
ULTRA SUN: Beak Blast, Fly, Hyper Voice, Uproar
Charjabug - Bug Buzz, X-Scissor, Zap Cannon, Thunder
Crabrawler - Focus Blast, Dynamic Punch, Blizzard, Ice Hammer
Lycanroc - Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Rock Tomb, Rock Throw
Wishiwashi - Hydro Pump, Surf, Aqua Tail, Scald
Why didn’t u show the final evolution for the starter 🤣
My team:
Incineroar....
Hell yeah.
I don't even have these games, nor have I even seen them in stores. I'm just here to learn what Pokemon are good in the rather unknown region to me! XD
What! No Mimikyu?
Mason Tinkler that's why litten is actually a better team member
Mason Tinkler well go watch eryizi's video litten is better
There's...More than one effective team combination. Crazy, I know, but it's true 😂
I just go with a diverse team. My first few playthroughs were with Litten. This time I chose Popplio and this time I decided to build a team with pokemon only from Melemele island. This is what I ended up with:
Alolan Dugtrio
Alolan Raticate
Hariyama
Vikavolt
Arcanine
Primarina
btw this team actually owns despite any misconceptions you might have. even Raticate and Hariyama pull their weight well. I would argue that Hariyama is perhaps the best choice for a fighting type in the entire game for a playthrough.
Really?
NINTENDO HAS TO STOP MAKING SEXY PROFESSORS ;-;
BOOTYFUL MUDKIP THAT MAN IS MARRIED
Pac Max THAT'S NOT WHAT MY FAN FICTION SAYS
BOOTYFUL MUDKIP
Lillie stays with with kukui for personal reasons.....
HE'S MINE STEREOTYPICALLY ATTRACTIVE AND ADORABLY SHY FEMALE PROTAGONIST
I thought the masked royale was sexier
but seriously I love that after you give the mask to kukui after the first guzma encounter it zooms closet and close to kukui face until i the mask icon is right in his face
i ended up catching a diglett after the first trial, found it when i was leaving the cave.
I found a shiny diglett 0.2 seconds before leaving the first trial after completion
Mystic: Kalos will be here shortly
Heh funny Mystic
Why not tsereena it has better stats all around
An irrelevant Guy not a good move pool though
Lurantis is waaayy better
what are you talking about?!
Gamer's Soul
But it's still miles better than Lurantis...
Gamer's Soul I like tsereanna she's super good
I used mimikyu so that the AI would use their z moves against the disguise
Also it helped so much in the battle against the elite four
My moon team was
1. Primarina
2.Alolan Muk
3.Alolan Raichu
4.Leafeon
5.Golidopod
6.Arcanine/ Lunala (for elite four)
Here are all my Alola teams:
Sun: Incineroar, Vikavolt, Wishiwashi, Lurantis, Mimikyu and Kommo-o.
Moon: Decidueye, Alolan Raichu, Toucanon, Lycanroc (Midnight form), Salazzle and Golisopod.
Ultra Sun: Incineroar, Wishiwashi, Tsareena, Alolan Ninetales, Kommo-o and Silvally.
Ultra Moon: Decidueye, Alolan Raichu (Shiny), Arcanine, Mudsdale, Golisopod, Naganadel.
sup senpai jack black NOTICE ME PLS :D
How did you guys get in here? :O
i dont know i just clicked the video
why am i not supposed to be here?
should I come back to pokemon? coming back at gen 4 remake
why ask when you respond to your own question?
My team:
Incineroar
Alakazam
Crobat
Alolan Ninetails
Butterfree
Meganium
Braden Bryans You spelled ninetales wrong
My team:
Inciniroar
Tentecruel
Toucannon
Palossand
Shiinotic
Crabominable
My team.
Inciniroar
Solgaleo
Marshadow
Silvally
Mimikyu
Greninja
Mine was:
Incineroar
Gengar
Gardevoir
Swampert
Garchomp
Gumshoos (don't ask why)
For USUM, here's what I currently have:
Incineroar
Excadrill
Alolan Ninetales
Garchomp
Arcanine
Electivire or Greninja (I switch them every now and then)
Braden Bryans i
much better choices than what was selected here:
Tsareena>Lurantis
Machamp, Hariyama, Primeape, Bewear, Pangoro, really almost *ANY* fighting type> Kommo-o
The Nerd Beast ..
The Nerd Beast more like
Primeria< Decidueye due to better stats and move options
Alolan Muk< Salazzle due to better strategy options
Alolan Dugtrio< Mudslade again due to strategy
Lurantis< Araquanid due to better defenses, move pool, and ability
Jolteon< Alolan Raichu due to more type coverage
Kommo-o
M Muhamed yeah but the limited move typing gives Primeria very little to go on. The only useful moves it learns on its own are Sparkling Aria and Moonblast, and even then the effective list for both is extremely low. The only way it'll be useful would be to teach it Ice Beam and Psychic to cover its weaknesses. Plus it's only known for its special stats and there are better special sweepers
M Muhamed there's still better special sweepers
MrNITROPSYCHO lol Rowlet has A SHIT TON OF WEAKNESSES
Btw Lilligant is an amazing Pokemon to add to your team.
------------
My Lilligants move set is:
Giga Drain
Leaf Storm
Sleep Powder
Leech Seed
---------
The step by step play is Sleep Powder, Leech Seed to add chip damage, then Giga Drain or Leaf Storm.
It’s a great addition due to its self-care giga drain and Leech seed where you barely need any heals. But you need potions to boost PP. I took out 2 whole teams with it alone.
Hope this helps! Have fun!
Im using this team
Not gonna lie, primarina and jolteon carried the team most of the time
