In Pokemon Moon I chose Popplio, and he barely ever fainted or gave me any trouble in trials. I was surprised when he evolved into Primarina, and I really loved how gorgeous he was! In Sun, I chose Litten, who also ended up be a really great partner. I don't understand why everyone hates Incineroar so much, he's a really cool Pokemon, and pretty intimidating too.

I chose Popplio but I struggled with the grass trial only a bit, it was annoying but relatively easy to deal with. The one I struggled most with was the ghost trial, I lost a couple of times because I didn't know Mimikyu's ability.
Mimikyu the Time Lord Fennekin is actually the first time I liked the fire starter more, compared to the other (they're all really great) Though I haven't thought about it outside of the first gym which it demolished (Bug gym) I actually believe the Fire starter will the best of the starters story-wise with no bias. But yeah, I hate his bias towards the Fire type. Popplio is very easily the best.
Fenniken is probably the one Fire Starter that everyone loves to either hate entirely or poke fun at for some dumb reason. Easily, my top favorite Fire Starter and Popplio is my second favorite Water Starter.

...So Popplio is a bad choice as a starter because of its secondary typing? Why would that be exactly? It now has a disadvantage of grass, electric, poison, and steel. At some points you get the tms for psychic and eventually you'll learn acrobatics if leveling up. Also Team Skull though they do have poison types will usually appear during a trial or after the trials. Most of the Team Skull grunts have less than 3 pokemon which would seem questionable to struggle against a singular pokemon that has not even evolved. Seriously? I'm supposed to be frightened of a Mareanie which mind you a Skull grunt has with the only advantage being venoshock? No. A pokemon that would be more of a threat to your water starter would be Lusamine who had a Lilligant that will probably out speed you before taking Primarina down with a petal dance. And back to the grunts...they also use dark type pokemon. Which gives them an advantage with at least half of them. Also one thing you've said in previous videos states that by then you'll a team to counter disadvantages in the Johto starters video. That one statement can simply break your reasoning why it is a bad starter. Also one thing that is apparent is that you simply hate it purely for no reason other than its design. This is somewhat shown in the fact that you had cut yourself off when commenting about the final evolutions of all the starters. Though you managed to bring up some reasons for why a starter has disadvantages. Sorry for this dumb rant which is poorly defending Popplio. Great video for what it is worth. Hope you can bring up more solid points in the next starter pokemon video you make.
Acrobatics on Primarina, with base 75 attack, non stab 55 power move? Do you even Pokemon bro? And even if you have no item on Primarina to get Acrobatics up to 110 power do you think that's worth it? No, it's not, because having it's Z Crystal is way more valuable. Take the L. Also Psychic doesn't k.o. all poison type Pokemon unless you are over leveled af and you will get one shot my any poison type move if you don't get that OHKO. Anyway a good player will switch when he is at a disadvantage to a steel type Pokemon vs poison types. This video is how the starters fair in the playthrough if they had to face every single Pokemon.
Emilie Savignac think Emilie, the final evolution of Popplio will get wrecked by Team Grunts poison types once you get farther in the game. Litten is a very good starter (my opinion) and it helped me a lot through the game. Like he said, a bit rocky at the beginning, but once he evolved into his final form, he was a sweeper.
DannyPlayz_YT but team skull doesn't all poison types, they also use drowzees, yungooses, and Alolan ratatas and an Alolan muk can do incineroar's job very well.
I LOVE Popplio and Primarina! I think that Primarina has the best design out of the Alolan starters. Decidueye looks amazing in it's official artwork, but it's model in the games wasn't quiet as good. Primarina looks amazing in both it's artwork and in the games! I don't like Incineroar design doesn't appeal to me that much.

AND. popplio, brionne, and primarina whoop hau. my primarina had no trouble with both forms of lusamine, the entire elite 4, kukui, team skull, guzma, i whooped tapu koko to 1 hp with one hit to catch him, and more. all because i picked popplio as my starter. so, popplio is clearly the best to choose. team skull is whooped by him too.
Use the water type. Getting fairy moves so soon. Really helps, and theres plenty of pokemon at the start to fill you out. Grimer for example great. Get magnetite same area, even zorua. On top of that certain bug types are easy to get and grow extremely useful.
yeah incenroar can do some damage to primerina decidueye some to incenroar and welp primerina none to decidueye cause blade also each of the starters can 1 shot the one that they are strong against
Decidueye it got hit With a poison fang from a pokemon way higher lvl than me survived it and put up a pretty good fight but fainted but still survived for s bit
Also to add Primarina can learn Psychic which is given to you by Wicke and doesnt require interaction so its not hidden. And you skipped over a very important part. Popplio learns Disarming Voice at a low level making the Normal Trial a lot easier if your playing Moon Version as Alolan Raticate is part Dark.
And Primarina not only shines against Hala and Olivia but it also does great against Acerola's Sandygast and Sabeleye, and Kahili's Mandibuzz and Oricorio-Bailé
ShinyInfernape 7 Primarina can destroy almost all elite 4 since he/she can learn shadow ball, ice beam combined with moonblast and a powerful water move like her sm, scald snd hydropump. The only problem is skarmory but who cares.
😑 So Pokemon will only learn certain moves based on which version your playing....even though I played Pokemon Sun and my Popplio got Disarming Voice like normal
ShinyInfernape 7 Psychic and Shadow Ball are TM's. TM's are obtained very late or even post game in the story. Plus Psychic barely kills unless you are over leveled because it's not even stab.
Popplio does well against team skull as most of their poison types are part fire. The biggest poison threat is golbat and there are plenty of pokemon to cover that, you could also give it an ice move via tm to fight golbat.
Pokemon223 Pichu well not always primarina can be defeated by Decidueye if Decidueye has a grass type move and Giga Drain or Mega Drain so Primarina will be weakened by its Draining Moves
Popplio is my favorite and my choice since it's Fairy Type can take down Fighting, Dark, and Dragon types. It can also learn Icy wind early on to cover its weaknesses to Grass and Dragon, but also kill Flying type PokeMon. Rowlet (even though it's the worst) gets to start with a dual type Grass/Flying then become Grass/Ghost. Not only could its Flying type cover its weaknesses to Grass and Bug types, but its Ghost types will be able to murder Psychic types, and Sucker Punch to also take down Psychic and (if you're willing to take the chance), its own Ghost types Litten can actually learn Cross Chop at level 66 to take down other Dark type PokeMon along with Normal types and Outrage to take down Dragon types (only thing with Outrage is it'll end up confused after 3 turns unless you manage to knock out your opponent with it).
Rowlet can handle his weakness You can catch water types and Ground types before Kiawe trial . Flying type moves For Hala and Guzma and Kommo o and Grass type Moves for Olivia and hapu . Only Really Struggles with acerola Kahili and most of kukui's team but you should have someone to cover your weaknesses. P.S And Incineroar is weak to bug water types which there are two (Wimpod and Dewpider)And they aren't bad Pokémon either P.s.s. Decidueye can learn Low sweep and Steel wing. also Decidueye can destroy kukuis team with those two moves Low sweep for Lycanroc , Incineroar,Snorlax and Braviary takes neutral Steel wing for Lycanroc,Ninetales

...So Popplio is a bad choice as a starter because of its secondary typing? Why would that be exactly? It now has a disadvantage of grass, electric, poison, and steel. At some points you get the tms for psychic and eventually you'll learn acrobatics if leveling up. Also Team Skull though they do have poison types will usually appear during a trial or after the trials. Most of the Team Skull grunts have less than 3 pokemon which would seem questionable to struggle against a singular pokemon that has not even evolved. Seriously? I'm supposed to be frightened of a Mareanie which mind you a Skull grunt has with the only advantage being venoshock? No. A pokemon that would be more of a threat to your water starter would be Lusamine who had a Lilligant that will probably out speed you before taking Primarina down with a petal dance. And back to the grunts...they also use dark type pokemon. Which gives them an advantage with at least half of them. Also one thing you've said in previous videos states that by then you'll a team to counter disadvantages in the Johto starters video. That one statement can simply break your reasoning why it is a bad starter. Also one thing that is apparent is that you simply hate it purely for no reason other than its design. This is somewhat shown in the fact that you had cut yourself off when commenting about the final evolutions of all the starters. Though you managed to bring up some reasons for why a starter has disadvantages. Sorry for this dumb rant which is poorly defending Popplio. Great video for what it is worth. Hope you can bring up more solid points in the next starter pokemon video you make.

Emilie Savignac think Emilie, the final evolution of Popplio will get wrecked by Team Grunts poison types once you get farther in the game. Litten is a very good starter (my opinion) and it helped me a lot through the game. Like he said, a bit rocky at the beginning, but once he evolved into his final form, he was a sweeper.

I LOVE Popplio and Primarina! I think that Primarina has the best design out of the Alolan starters. Decidueye looks amazing in it's official artwork, but it's model in the games wasn't quiet as good. Primarina looks amazing in both it's artwork and in the games! I don't like Incineroar design doesn't appeal to me that much.

Use the water type. Getting fairy moves so soon. Really helps, and theres plenty of pokemon at the start to fill you out. Grimer for example great. Get magnetite same area, even zorua. On top of that certain bug types are easy to get and grow extremely useful.

And Primarina not only shines against Hala and Olivia but it also does great against Acerola's Sandygast and Sabeleye, and Kahili's Mandibuzz and Oricorio-Bailé

Popplio does well against team skull as most of their poison types are part fire. The biggest poison threat is golbat and there are plenty of pokemon to cover that, you could also give it an ice move via tm to fight golbat.

Popplio is my favorite and my choice since it's Fairy Type can take down Fighting, Dark, and Dragon types. It can also learn Icy wind early on to cover its weaknesses to Grass and Dragon, but also kill Flying type PokeMon.
Rowlet (even though it's the worst) gets to start with a dual type Grass/Flying then become Grass/Ghost. Not only could its Flying type cover its weaknesses to Grass and Bug types, but its Ghost types will be able to murder Psychic types, and Sucker Punch to also take down Psychic and (if you're willing to take the chance), its own Ghost types
Litten can actually learn Cross Chop at level 66 to take down other Dark type PokeMon along with Normal types and Outrage to take down Dragon types (only thing with Outrage is it'll end up confused after 3 turns unless you manage to knock out your opponent with it).

You can catch water types and Ground types before Kiawe trial .
Flying type moves For Hala and Guzma and Kommo o
and Grass type Moves for Olivia and hapu .
Only Really Struggles with acerola
Kahili and most of kukui's team but you should have someone to cover your weaknesses.
P.S And Incineroar is weak to bug water types which there are two (Wimpod and Dewpider)And they aren't bad Pokémon either
P.s.s. Decidueye can learn Low sweep and Steel wing. also Decidueye can destroy kukuis team with those two moves

Steel wing for Lycanroc,Ninetales
