Another quality video, Mick. Good tip about using a light lead when feathering. I usually use a dextor wedge instead of a lead as I feel the flashing draws fish to the feathers, and there's always the chance of a bass on the wedge.
Yes, I also sometimes use lures at the end of a string of feathers and should have tried that, since I've had quite a few garfish amongst the mackerel doing that in the past.
lovely stamp of fish through the session. Thanks for another very enjoyable video sir. I hope the the bream was a tasty dinner 👍🏼 your efforts are appreciated.🎣🎣
Fantastic tip recovery after the cast on your main rod's. Yes a strange looking fish is the trigger, I've always looked at them as a hybrid of a wrasse & John dory. Great watch as always. Cheers Chris.
I may well be moving up to essex so I appreciate all these easy marks you're showing.Haven't fished in thirty? years but may well give it a go on a semi-regular basis.Thanks.
Good morning Another quality video, and goes to show by changing methods or presentation you can catch an array of spices.. some nice gars there well done and thank you ..
That was another enjoyable session. Amazing how many different species you can catch when you change tactics. And much patience shown with the swimmers! Many thanks once again👍🏻
Another interesting video from you ... with plenty of action, using the different methods available to you ... I know the garfish were not of great size for keeping ... But what do you think of their eating qualities? 🤔
Awesome again Mick loved fishing 4 garfish (long toms )over here dad liked them in your travels r u catching fish that r not normally caught in that area?catching fish here that r normally much further north. Happy catching from AUSTRALIA Nick
Great video as usual!, I fish quite often at Seaford and Newahaven (was there last week end) with varying success. Haven't quite worked out the best conditions, what do find is best ie flood with onshore winds?
Hello Mick. Still got some catching up to do! A very enjoyable video and that August session was excellent in terms of numbers and variety. Did you take any garfish for the pot? I hope you are keeping well. Cheers. Ken
Thanks for still watching Ken! You should catch up soon, since I've been a bit quiet on the production front, having spent a lot of time recently looking after my parents. I put all my garfish back, although you can eat them and they make good bait as well.
@@rodsangleuk6283 Hi Mick. Thanks for the reply. I will catch up but I fear it will take rather longer than I would like...life keeps getting in the way. Cheers. Ken
Garfish are supposed to be nice to eat, not tried it but might next time I catch some, I was expecting you to pull in a swimmer, waiting to see you use the priest and drag one up the beach to the car, looks like you picked some nice days.
Haha about the swimmers - its there lookout if they choose to go next to, then swim directly in front of me, when the rest of the beach is empty; but I do my best not to try and hook one! Yes, I believe you can eat garfish, but I've also not tried them.
i fished there last saturday night ,, had a 16 inch sole and a codling
Nice!
Always quality with your vlogs, very enjoyable.. 😊😊👍🐟🏴🇫🇷🇫🇷
Thanks Albert.

Thanks 👍 The Colmic 07s are great rods.
Well done rod, another great informative vid. Thankyou
Thanks Robert👍
Interesting and informative as usual. Plus the bonus of Garfish. I remember catching one as an 11 year old and thought it looked prehistoric.
Yes, they are strange fish, but great to catch. Thanks again Tony.

Good luck when you get back to it.
Great last session, I may be heading that way on Sunday, hope I have the same luck. Great vid 🎣👍

Great vid as usual. Good to see how there are lots of fish in places. Not so good in N Wales at the moment.
Thanks Anthony.

Thanks John 👍 I don't think I've ever tried eating garfish!

Thanks Nick - the bream are in better numbers at Seaford, than they have been and its always nice to catch it right when the garfish are there.
Nice fishing session ✌ Can I ask you please from where did you get that box with seat? Thank you
Its a RidgeMonkey XL Bucket Seat and bought online, but I can't remember who from.

I tend to go there to fish the ebb and when the wind is from behind - but I'm generally after flatfish in spring and early summer.
@@rodsangleuk6283 thankyou for the reply, so flatties prefer it a bit calmer with not so much colour in the water?
All that beach & they have to swim there 😡. You’ve got more patience than me mate.

Omg....out of all the places to swim 🏊♀️ on planet earth, they could clearly see you were fishing obviously. 🎣
Some people are so rude and ignorant.
