@@HangryMuscle usually print width sensor is dirty and has to be cleaned . have to take off print head to get to it. the faster way is look up using packaging tape on film for PW sensor to see the sheet. Look on youtube how to do that its easy and works.
@jerrybarno7757 the sensor is not usually the issue because regular paper prints fine and the printhead does NOT need to be removed to clean the sensor Idk why idiots keep suggesting this. I came up with the blue tape hack, it is not necessary to use tape when the printer is setup and used correctly.
@HangryMuscle love how you just call people idiots right off the bat. Heres a question since your clearly not an idiot. Why did film work without a problem when the printer is brand new???? And why is it that when I cleaned the PW sensor I was able to feed film in without using tape? And yes on the 8550 the PW sensor is under the print head. For proper cleaning you have to remove the print head. Ive tried other methods and it isnt as good. I doubt you invented the tape trick thats been around for a while dont be so full of yourself. You made a video your going to get comments. Man up brah.
There’s a video ssv custom transfers posted a while ago that says to use a custom swab of 70% alcohol and wiped the edge of the inserting side of the film but make sure it’s the matted coated side (printing side) I personally tried this and it has been working she also had like a cardboard backing of some sort behind the transfer film hope that helps
My white channels isn't putting any ink down. exactly how do you unclog the printhead? I took it apart and cleaned around the inside like you did in your other video, but there isn't any nozzles pointing up like other Epson's to push solution through... (HELP PLEASE)

im using Digital factory 10, i've tried digital factory 11, and now i see you're using acroRIP and still having the same problems. i cannot figure out how to get the printer to not print a cropped image it makes no sense. do you have any suggestions ?
Yes, don't let the printer sit idle when it's connected to your pc and make sure you're using the correct settings for the film/paper you're printing on.
This started to happen to me suddenly , the waste of a film is not really a solution , this is software related , I restarted my pc and the printer , not sure the cause of that but it is a headache , not sure when it is going to happen , causing wasting ink and pet film.
It can give the jam/cropped images for various reasons, it if was printing before, disconnect/reconnect the usb and dongle. Adjusting the paper type can also resolve this.

Various reasons cause it, without troubleshooting it and gathering more info, it's hard to tell for sure. The most common causes are communication issues with the pc/rip and printer, film being used, and settings.
I keep trying to print but it is only printing the middle of the image, tryin to print on 11.7 x 16, A3. I tried printing on 11x17 and it printed
What program do you use to print DTF? EPSONL8180
I tried to put a piece of paper on bottom edge of dtf film and it works.
hello , do you know what causes the paper ( any paper) to feed half way through the 8550 then stop mid way and say paper jam?
Various reasons I would need to troubleshoot it to tell you exact reason.

Do you know why my printer only prints the middle of the image when I try to print a design on a 11x17 film? I have a epson 8550
Incorrect paper settings or communication issues with pc and port
do you also do tech support for cadlink/epson 8550 issues?
Yes I do
@@HangryMuscle How can I request this from you? Or where? :)

Try doing an ink flush. Wait 12 hours then check. You may still need to do a final normal head clean afterwards
I’m running cadlink I can’t get another print to print once I cancel the first print any suggestions

That's not working for me. Mine is only doing it when I print on my large 13×19 dtf paper but not my 11×17
For this i deleted my driver and reinstalled. Done
Has it happened again?

Great stuff! If you have any trouble printing a design, we can help with that!
👍
Why did it print cropped image in the first place?
Can you help with cropped image prints?
Thanks for your videos.
If you have to choose one, which printer will you choose for dtf conversion, XP-15000 or ET-8550?
I have both. I prefer the Et-8550. I've had less issues with using it for DTF.
I can’t get mine to print the full image.
