Not often I have issues with my 8550, but when I do... I know where to come! You are a freaking life saver!! You've solved the only 2 issues I've ever had with this printer. Now, I'm just trying to find someone who can find a way to make a true white dtf powder. Ugh. I have a lot of shirt orders, just not enough to invest into a dtf printer right now. Do you know how much that person could make off of that stuff!? Wish I had the connections cause I dang sure would be finding a way to make it happen 🤣
I just fixed mine!! Pw sensor was dirty as hell. On the 8550 take out the print head and under it there is one screw for the tiny pw sensor . Clean it up, put everything back together and done!! This happened to me because ink was all over the top of my print head and leaked into the sensor. You will know when you remove the dampers and see a ton of ink everywhere.
Have you tried using a Rubber Rejuvenator spray (sold ag walmart, etc) on the pinch rollers that grab the sheet at the beginning of the print? Perhaps the film is leaving residue on those rollers and they are not able to properly grab the film because there is not enough friction. The rubber rejuvenator works flawlessly on my laser printers whenever i begin to have feeding issues. I just spray it on a rag, and then clean the rollers with the rag and you will see and feel the tackiness return almost immediately to those rollers.
No I haven't but I will pick some up today. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Thank you. Acrorip might be the issue because I could print fine in cadlink.
@@HangryMuscle funny thing,I'm thinking Acrorip could be the problem..I've followed crafty,she uses cadlink and 8550 ..she was up and running never had this problem. Could it be a glitch with the templates files?
What's wierd is I was using acrorip without issue for 2-3 months now with no issue. Now it does this jamming thing with or without the tape I'm unsure of what to do next.
@@cjbutler4326 I fixed it without the tape. You have to clean the rollers. You could use like a wet microfiber cloth or wet q-tip and just clean the rollers. I had to restart the printer a couple times to get them rolling so I can thoroughly clean. Each time the print jam error occurs, I just clean it again and it works.
My issue is kinda different... the A3 paper goes through the rear feed just fine, through the rollers, then the print head slides across the paper, then the paper immediately gets pulled backwards into the rollers and jams the printer. This happened after I did print head adjustment on the printer... wondering if it's related, can't figure it out yet. This ever happened to you?
@@diazwifeyy8316 I fixed this issue by using a wet cloth and cleaning the rollers. The white powdery stuff caused the sensor to not feed the paper properly. Alternatively you can put blue tape across the area where the print head will first begin printing.

I have a converted printer Epson xp15 000, but the white ink is not coming out. I put white ink in the red and gray catridge. Do I need to set it somewhere in the software? What is the problem here?
I'm not familiar with the p700 model , I assume you use the same conversion as the p600s & p800s. You can find refillable cartridges on alibaba/aliexpress.
I am having an issue with my Epson ET-8550. It is practically brand new. I took out the rollers using it to print DTF transfers. It is giving me a paper jam error. It reads regular paper fine and I have even placed blue painters tape behind it thinking it was due to thinness of DTF sheets. I've tried numerous cleanings and numerous DTF transfer sheets. It was working fine until it stopped reading one day. It's only a few months old. Is there a sensor somewhere that is possibly unclean? My rollers are also clean and my gear on the right side of the roller is lined up as it should be. Please help

I have printed on the same film and had no issues - all of a sudden today I got this issue. what is the deal with the printer that it's worked find for 10 prints in the last week and today, out of nowhere, this issue arises?
I have had the same issue with my ET-8550 that I'm using sublimation ink with. I found a fix for it and maybe it will help others. When I let my printer go to sleep. It would start doing this, eating the paper consistently. I set my timer to 1 minute in the printers settings (on the printer itself, not on my PC). I let it fully go to sleep, then turned it back on and bam. Now it doesn't jam. I have accidentally let it sleep a few times after now and every time, it eats the paper, every time I let it sleep again and it starts printing properly again. I set my timer to 60 mins now so even if I leave for a bit it won't sleep again. I always power it off with the power button, no more sleep mode ever. My model of printer is an ET-8550 but it's black, not white, so maybe it might be slightly different. Hope it helps someone in the future however. Of course I'm not doing DTF so it could be a common error but with different solutions. Thanks for your videos. Regards, Red.

You need to leave atleast 2in of space of the bottom of sheet. If you removed the rollers, there is nothing to pull the film through once it gets to a certain point.

Yup.just take a paper towel with diluted alcohol and run the printhead over it a couple times manually and also clean the sponge and the area around it. And most importantly clean the squeegee.it’s usually the main reason for smears on the paper.my experience anyway.
Yes. I purchased my paper thru dtfpro but it doesn't fit. I don't think it's the right size paper. It was in the kit I purchased. I'm familiar with the 2 sliders in the rear.
Well that would it explain it. Lol. I do have another question. The first time I printed all was fine my paper came out perfect now my paper starts printing perfect but when it get to the bottom the paper starts going all over the place messing up the transfer. Any ideas?
Yes a rip software is necessary. Photoshop doesn't allow you tell the printer what ink color is in which ink channel and it can't tell the printer to print a white background layer

Why not convert the 8550 you have now into Dtf?

Its the same issue, the printer can't detect the film, could be the film, paper width sensor, dirty rollers, etc.
Mine is doing this same issue for 3 days now and nothing is working its this same issue for me as well...

Yeah once the rip comes out, you can use the P700 for DTF.
@@HangryMuscle what about the ink? Its 10channel, uses the ultrachrome pro10 cartridges. I wonder where to get a conversion kit for that, or a CISS.

I am using Cadlink what paper setting you are using for the epson et-8550 printer and on cadlink
I don't use cadlink, I used the trial though I set everything to default

That blue tap process has to be done on each impression or just once
If you're the tape it would be done everytime. I "DO NOT USE TAPE" nor do I recommend it.

You can save a lot of tape by only applying it on the edge of where it will feed through. You only need about 3cm worth n it will register it no issue

You most likely have old ink residue underneath the printhead & I would also double check the exit tray is leveled.

The ET-8500 doesn't print A3 paper, you would need the ET-8550 to print A3 paper. The 8500 can only print up to 8.5 x 11 paper.

It's been 48 hours no printing because of the paper jam I cleaned the rollers, used tape...still no prints
Hi, the tape needs to be "exactly" where the printer starts printing and it should be across the entire film

Did you ever had the printer start printing in the middle and only print about 1” wide
That's the reason for the video. The film is not being detected by the printer's paper width sensor and needs to made more visible in order to print.
