    Cool set up and great presentation. Setting up the C70 and Ronin RS2 myself, but from past gimbal experience I’ve opted for spring arms to smooth Z-axis. Two handed is the way to go. I’ve had issues with screws loosening on gear too! I hate to over-tighten. I have found that larger gimbals are constrained in tight spaces vs stuff like phone gimbals.

    Hey Brandon,
    Thanks for this video on the Tilta. Will look into it.
    For long shoots, I’ve added a shoulder strap (using PD slide lite) and I hook it onto the back handle of the RS2 so when my hands get tired, I can let it hang on the side of my hip without needing to sit it down. This way I can film all day without being sore.

    It would be great to see a combination of this system with something like the Tilta Rear Handle with the joystick control or the DJI Ronin Tethered Control Handle. Dual handles with joystick control for my right hand would be great. Too bad DJI wants $350 for the Tethered Control Handle. Thanks, Brandon.

    Still using the Ronin-M with the SmallRig ring & feet and don't plan on changing (unless they release an M2 or something with the same design, which would be dope). I love this thing. I'd like to have a smaller one for smaller run & gun shoots, but for music videos and bigger productions, it's still my go-to. I had a Crane V2 with the dual grip setup and it was such a pain having to rig it all up. I leave the Ronin together and only have to put on the camera and monitor, and I'm ready to go. Recently got a Ready Rig (because I'm weak as hell lol) and it's such a fun setup to use, especially when trying to control a follow focus at the same time. I like what Tilta is doing, but it would've been nice to have the handles connect with the screw on the top or bottom if possible. That way the handles can't slide up or down, but rather left and right.

I just purchased a BMCC 6K Pro, Easyrig Stabil, and Ronin RS2 and am looking for a dual handed solution to hang from the Easyrig. Hi! HELP!!! Since you mentioned you use it with your Komodo what follow focus system do you use? I‘ve seen a lot of videos where people complain that this doesn’t work with all lenses (DJI rods are too short, the system is statically unstable and so on).
    What do you use? At the moment, this single topic keeps me from buying a Komodo+RS2.

    • @EmeraldAudiovisual
      @EmeraldAudiovisual ปีที่แล้ว

      DJI uses 12mm rods, which are typically used for drones, so it shouldn't be too hard to find longer ones. Another option is the Smallrig 15mm to 12mm rod for DJI, that you then can extend as you see fit.

I've contacted Tilta support and I got reply in hours, and we already scheduled a repair. I was afraid to get it based on your experience, but seems that they have improved the service or something else happened, because they have been very communicative on all their channels, before I bought it I contacted them about this issue your having, and they said it was solved, that's why I bought it. For me the costumer service has been very helpful and quick. Maybe you should try to contact them back again, maybe your more lucky this time!

    Question from a newbie about gimbals and stabilization: Hi. I am new to fancy cameras, gimbals and recording video. I want to record stabilized video when I go on long hiking trips. Here is a youtube example of what I want to reproduce ( th-cam.com/video/U1j-eO3-aR8/w-d-xo.html ) Is this Dual handle grip a good choice for that ? Is there a better option you can suggest ? I am concerned about holding any kind of gimbal for hours at a time but also dont want to spend the money or carry the weight of the vest&arm options. I would be grateful if you can suggest a good way to stabilize video over a long hike. Thank you.

    This is why i hate my weebill-s. I prefered my cheap zhiyun crane (first one made so didnt have a name) with its dual handle
