    Whenever i try to plug my phone in to charge, it says either moisture or debris is in the charger port and to unplug immediately. I took a new toothbrush and brushed the charger port so it doesnt appear to have any debris in there, and this has been doing this for over a week, so not a moisture issue. Any ideas? I had to buy a wireless charger to charge my phone. Would a new charger port fix this issue? Why do you think it keeps giving me this message when i try to charge with a cord??? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

    I used to work on iPhones and taking those apart to fix them, Samsung phones seem so much easier and quite frankly have a much more gorgeous internal design

    Why take the top section out you can change the port without doing that

    • @DIYGeardo
      @DIYGeardo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes can, But it is good if you can disconnect the battery plug.That is the reason behind removing the upper part

    After watching this video I'm sure I'm not going to attempt it. There are so many places where I can mess it up

    Is the black screw holding down the pcb board the same size as all the others? I can’t get it out for some reason

    • @DIYGeardo
      @DIYGeardo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a Philips screw/ Try with a good screwdriver. Please Do not rip it off.Otherwise it will be very hard to remove it

    I put in a new charging port but it still doesn't charge via usb c. Wireless charging still works though. Double checked all of the connections and still no dice. Any ideas?

    So I dropped my phone in the car door (first time ever) and bent the phone a little and it appears only thing not working is the type c port.
    Looking at all them ribbon cables connected to it I'm wondering maybe 1 of them may have just came loose.
    A board is cheap enough but what glue is it you used at the end? Also I like the look of them clamps, what ones are they?

    • @DIYGeardo
      @DIYGeardo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you are buying the board, Make sure to buy a good board. Otherwise your charging speed will reduce. We are using b7000 glue. Those are called screen binding clips. Do you want it?
