Ronda my grandma had a friend who was quilting in her 90's at her Assisted Living Home. She hand quilted all of her quilts & they were BEAUTIFUL!!! They hung them in the lobby of the Home & sold them too. I don't want to live until I'm 90 but if I do I want to still be quilting!! ;)
Jenny, why do you keep doing this to me!!!! This so beautiful. My oh my. I have so many quilt tops of designs you have shared with us. I'll be quilting until I am 90. Great job. Thank-you so much. On to the cutting board.
I'm traveling right now and just want to start quilting. I didn't bring my sewing room with me so I cant, we wont be spending much time in the hotel rooms.
Ronda Bergeron , be respectful of other people’s opinion. Maybe they don’t like flowers, or don’t like the colors, or something, but everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion. Usually, when I don’t like something I keep it to myself.
I love this one!! Sounds like one jelly roll would work perfectly for the background strips since one jelly roll is approximately 1.75 yards. But I always have extra JR's around in case I need a smidge more than one. ;) I see so many color and fabric choices working beautifully for this pattern. Thanks again Jenny! Always fun to watch your tutes! :)
This is my absolute favorite video!! I watch it during treadmill time, before bed...I've tracked down all the fabric so I can make my very own!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this pattern... all of Jenny's tutorials are my favorite though!! Disappearing Hourglass is my next favorite!! :)
Hi Jenny and thanks a million for another great quilt! You amaze me because you always come up with beautiful quilts that look complicated to make and with your tutorials, they become easy! We’re very lucky to have you around! 🌺🌸
Yet another pattern I have to add to my growing list :-) I used to be very intimidated of quilting. It just seemed so incredibly hard and tedious. Your videos have helped me realize that it really is easy and far less complicated. Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous quilt. I had 2 watch again. I was AMAZED AT WHAT U CREATED MS.🌞 & NOW I C how the secondary block came about. GOD bless U & your company. My Fridays starts out R very HAPPY HAPPY. Thanx 4 sharing.
Love this pattern. This is really quick and easy pattern, chain piece the steps and before you know it your done and ready to put together. Thank you Jenny for making quilting so easy.
This is beautiful! And I so love the material pack you chose, so Springtimey and feminine! I will definitely have to make this some day! Simply gorgeous!!
I loved this pattern and couldn't wait to make it! Used some bright and cheery batiks with a nice butter colored background. I call it my sunshine quilt as I made it on a dreary overcast winter day. Thanks Jenny for making everything more fun with easy directions and fabulous precuts.
+Karen Overton how did your points work out The points get cut off if following her directions. Others have asked the same question, but alas, no one from Missouri Star has responded.
+Doreen Tavares First of all, I do love Jenny's patterns, they are quick and fun. That being said because, in my opinion, they are designed to be quick the results are sometimes less than accurate if you are "matching points". Again, my opinion, but I have never been successful with the "flip and sew" or "fold and sew on the creased line". I've been told to sew a thread or so off the line to allow for the pressing, but I can never remember which side to "short". Instead I pull out my quilting toolbox and have a number of different rulers that well help me be more accurate. "Snowballing" is more precise if you will cut the fabrics to the exact size you need instead of trying to sew on a folded line. To do this you must have a ruler that will give you a half square triangle WITH seam allowance. My favorite rulers that show me how to do this are: Corner Pop by Studio 180 Designs, Cutting Corners Ruler by Cozy Quilt Designs or simply the #96 or #96L by Omnigrid And yes, I have all three - you can never have too many tools in your toolbox! Each of these have instructions for cutting that perfect half square triangle (with the dog ear blunted for easy alignment). I hope this helps. Karen Overton
I just LOVE this design! It reminds me of Moroccan tiles. I really like how it shows off the fabric, and I believe it looks more complicated than it is to make (my favourite designs!!). I know exactly which charm pack collection from my stash- which I got from you, of course - I will use to make a bright & cheerful gift quilt for a good friend of mine who retires next month!!! Thanks MSQC team!
I have watched many of your videos, and I think this one's my favorite! Such an adorable pattern, and the Jennifer Paganelli fabric makes it even cuter! I'm definitely going to make one of my own!
Just when I think I've seen the most beautiful quilt to make, you have another outstanding creation! I can't get ahead of myself. So many terrific projects. Thanks a million for your tutorials~ love,Love,LOVE them!!!
Okay .. okay ... okay ... Kim loves this one ... it is beautiful and has that old fashion quilt look to it ... I am going to make this for my Grand Daughter. ... thank you ... great job :)
Another great tutorial Jenny and a very pretty quilt. thank you. I look forward to Fridays when you post your tutorials. Very best wishes. Tracy Volkner. Cornwall. UK
OH MY that looks like fun to make...with this pattern are you able to make a lap quilt?...Jenny you are adding to my to do list each time I watch you...Thank you so much
Oh how I'd love to spend a week working alongside you! You truly inspire me to sew, sew and sew some more! This is a beautiful pattern and as usual you make it look so easy!
Awesome block Jenny. I'm looking forward to making this double square star quilt. Love the fabric choices you selected. Fun, fun. Your videos always make me smile!
As Always a beautiful quilt!! I must be in a runner rut as I keep seeing your blocks as runners at the moment! Again thank you for your beautiful work! Heather x
I am planning on making this quilt using batik fabrics from my stash. I love batiks and think this would make a good showcase for them. Thanks for doing what you do so well!!
I just returned from Hamilton and picked up some fabric to make this beautiful quilt! Love the tutorials, just hope it turns out as I am directionally and angularley challenged. I think that reading the directions first is supposed to help!!!!
I find it so funny that you carry the Corner Clipper in the shop but I never see you use it to make the snowballing easier to do. LOL! I have one and I LOVE it! Don't have to worry about staying on the drawn line.
Just tried the rhombus star I'm loving it can't wait to get my order for the bigger one and the small one You all are the best in my book as to what you do thanks so much for being there Going to try this one also🙋❤️
Oh, this is such a pretty block - just when you think you've seen everything! I've bookmarked it for after my Ohio Star and Drunkard's Path lap quilts ( already promised so they've got to be made first, but I think this one will be for me)
Angly or angularly challenged (I can't make out what you are saying), but wanted to say I am, too. I think it's because I'm left-handed. I check and double check, and sometimes check even more, because I am so fearful of making a mistake. (Lyme disease affecting my brain doesn't help, either.) I just recently got back to quilting and hopefully, I'll develop some confidence. :-) PS The quilt is gorgeous!
+boo2013Z - Yes, you could do it with a layer cake cut down to 9.5" sq for the large center square and two charm packs for the snowballed strips. OR: use 6 charm packs.
oh Jenny thank you again for another great block.........although I think I will doe the snow balls in a totally different block to match all around and it should look like a block on a block turned........
Another easy beauty!! How do you do it? Thank you! I will let you know how it goes when I use a layer cake (or maybe just a second all-around border) and add another row on the bottom for a twin size quilt. The extras will be added to the back for a little sass.
I apologize for being dense, but you said background cut in strips. All the links show the amount of yardage. The background strips are 2 1/2" wide? The pattern is terrific! You work so fast!
I was surprised at this method. I would make the blocks by strip piecing log cabin style, a square-in-square and then use that combined with a whole square to make half square triangles. I think there are as many ways to do things as there are quilters :-)
I have a lot of Red, White and Blue and this would make an awesome patriotic quilt!! Thanks Jenny!
What a great idea Julie!
Thanks jenny for the good example you set You are a joy and may Heavenly Fathers richest blessings fall on you daily.
Ronda my grandma had a friend who was quilting in her 90's at her Assisted Living Home. She hand quilted all of her quilts & they were BEAUTIFUL!!! They hung them in the lobby of the Home & sold them too. I don't want to live until I'm 90 but if I do I want to still be quilting!! ;)
That is wonderful! Thank you for sharing!
I love this quilt pattern because it shows off the beautiful prints without having to cut them.
Fantastic! Quilting is the secret of the eternal youth and happiness. Thank you Jenny!
+Susana Baquerizo Haha I think you're right, Susana!! :)
I mean.....what can I say. Jenny, you're amazing. I absolutely love all your tutorials. You make it so easy.
Jenny, why do you keep doing this to me!!!! This so beautiful. My oh my. I have so many quilt tops of designs you have shared with us. I'll be quilting until I am 90. Great job. Thank-you so much. On to the cutting board.
+Ronda Bergeron You sound like me! I have several tops I've made thanks, to Jenny! And I love them all.
+Ronda Bergeron I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Ronda! Quilting until you're 90 sounds like some very good years ahead of you! :)
I love this. Thank you Jenny
How could ANYONE give this a "Thumbs down?" Are they just ignorant? LOVED this video!!!!
I am worried that you will run out of patterns!! I love you Jenny. I watch many of your videos over and over. You can brighten anyone's day.
Fantastic!!! So simple and fast! Love ya Jenny!
I have been holding on to my Downton Abbey fabric for the PERFECT pattern and I really believe this is it!
I love this one!! Sounds like one jelly roll would work perfectly for the background strips since one jelly roll is approximately 1.75 yards. But I always have extra JR's around in case I need a smidge more than one. ;)
I see so many color and fabric choices working beautifully for this pattern. Thanks again Jenny! Always fun to watch your tutes! :)
+SuzetteG316 I'm so glad you like it, we'd love to see a photo if you try it out! :)

I am currently working on a quilt using this pattern out of flannel. I'm really enjoying the process. :)
I loved this pattern and couldn't wait to make it! Used some bright and cheery batiks with a nice butter colored background. I call it my sunshine quilt as I made it on a dreary overcast winter day. Thanks Jenny for making everything more fun with easy directions and fabulous precuts.

Very nice! I really like this star and the quilt.
I Love that quilt Jenny!
I am planning on making this quilt using batik fabrics from my stash. I love batiks and think this would make a good showcase for them. Thanks for doing what you do so well!!

Hey Jenny :) You posted this on my birthday! so I will call this my Birthday Block hahahah
Thank you so much for another wonderful tutorial :)
+Buthy ful Happy Birthday!!!!
Lovely! This would look really fun as a scrappy project too!
+Teagan Carnes Yes, absolutely! We would love to see you get creative with those 2.5" strips too! :)
In the process of making this quilt. I'm using the Downtown Abbey fabric. Everything is cut out, label and ready for me to get started in the morning.
Jenny is also left handed. But being right handed, I'm also challenged to get the angles correctly.
Beautiful....can't wait to start sewing 😊
I think it would look cool to have each star be of the same color.
+boo2013Z Yes, that would be gorgeous!! We'd love to see if you try it that way! :)
+boo2013Z - Yes, you could do it with a layer cake cut down to 9.5" sq for the large center square and two charm packs for the snowballed strips. OR: use 6 charm packs.
Hi Jenny, Another Hit... Love it. You could use a white jelly roll right for the strips? Any who have plenty of those, TY
+BettyLCP A Jelly Roll would work great!
This is so very, very pretty!! Thanks again, Jenny!!
oh Jenny thank you again for another great block.........although I think I will doe the snow balls in a totally different block to match all around and it should look like a block on a block turned........
great pattern--once again--thanks-thanks
pretty!
Beautiful ❤️
You make everything that looks difficult seem so easy! I'm a fairly new quilted and I just love your tutorials!!! Keep them coming!
I'd like to see black material instead of white, bet it would look great. Thank you Jenny!
Thanks again MSQC!
СПАСИБО! Очень-очень красиво!
Великолепно! Очень оригинальный блок квилта!
Another easy beauty!! How do you do it? Thank you!
I will let you know how it goes when I use a layer cake (or maybe just a second all-around border) and add another row on the bottom for a twin size quilt. The extras will be added to the back for a little sass.

+Jenny Horton That is so true, Jenny! What a great idea!
Good morning Jenny,
Love that bracelet, is it a notion or a cute bracelet?
This is a beautiful quilt. What is your finished size? Thanks for the videos they have helped me so much.
