Is there a reason that you didn't simply glue the silver insulation to the back of each ply panel rather than taping the insulation to the car then putting the panel on?
Hi Catherine. The reason that I attached the foil to the vehicle and not the back of the wood panel is that in doing so I made the space fairly airtight to keep the cooler air within the gap. This would not have been done if the silver insulation was just stuck to the back of the ply. My way was also good for keeping the fibre insulation in place before fitting the ply .
The insulation has been really effective. The advantage of using this type over Kingspan is that this is flexible and easy to move into the awkward places like gaps behind panels etc.

How effective did you find the insulation was? Had you not thought of cutting Kingspan and doing the same instead?
