What is the grey material you use in your van? Is it for insulation?

Hi, it's 4-way stretch automotive carpet that I covered the van with. Helps with insulation a bit, but is also for comfort and looks nicer than the bare metal: th-cam.com/video/0DuEBg1Gsro/w-d-xo.html
