- The new Xiaomi Aqara Smart Curtain motor B1 is one of my favorite gadgets in our smart home! I think that this Xiaomi smart curtain motor is really great, performs superb, is very silent, and simply does what it should do, all for a super attractive price: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/FYSRra1E
Today we review the Xiaomi Smart curtain motor. This curtain motor needs to be paired with any of the Xiaomi or Aqara Gateways. Keep in mind that the Curtain motor is meant to work with DT-82 curtain tracks and can pull up to about 60 kilograms. All of that comes in a package that's just 37*5*5cm and lasted on a full charge so far 3 to 4 months!
Once set-up with the Xiaomi Mi Home App you set timers and automation rules. You can pair the curtain motor with all kinds of input sensors and switches. The timers allow you to set up predefined timeslots for your curtains to open and close. While the automation rules within the Mi Home app will allow you and endless amount of possibilities in your smart home.
I had these smart curtains already installed ever since we moved in a couple months ago and I finally managed to get this video done and I hope you enjoyed it!

Hi Martijn, great video! Question: in your video you also have the corner track piece installed, is this part of the track package? or did you buy this as a seperate add-on? Haven't found it yet, and the store selling the track seems to only sell a straight track installation kit. I need a straight rail of about 3.5m and a corner on one end of the rails. Do you know if this combination is possibile? TIA.

2. Hoeveel motors heb je nodig per raam (2 gordijnen in het midden sluitend)?
3. Kan ook de aqara camera gebruikt worden als gateway?
4. Kan de batterij versie ook continue op 230V?
5. is de lengte inclusief motor? Ik heb 5.15 meter nodig, ik vraag me af of ik het dan met 5 meter red. De gordijnen moet wel aansluiten tegen de zijmuren.
6. Jouw gordijn in de video zit niet zo mooi vast in het midden, kan je dat niet netter krijgen?

I have a led strip (Xiaomi Yeelight Aurora) installed behind the rails. There's also a smart light bulb in the lamp. One press on the left button will turn on the lights. Hold the left button will open the curtains. Hold the right will close, press both will turn off all the lights. Does this answer you question? :)

How is this holding up? Anyone who has installed this, are there any noticeable issues after a while? I've purchased Xiaomi vacuum and desk lamp before, they start off great but breaks very fast after a couple of uses.

@@alihaydarad i havent seen a track that can handle 2 curtains. If you want 2 curtains, you need 2 tracks and 2 motors. The tricky part is how you would install them. You may put the track B over track A, but you need longer L-shaped brackets for track B. But the problem with that method is that curtain B will look shorter than curtain A (but you can go to a tailoring shop to shorten curtain A). I can think of another solution but it's also tricky. You can install a fiber cement board then paint it and hide the two tracks inside. Then you screw track B on the fiber cement board. But since the space inside is tight, i dont know how you would be able to screw the brackets inside.
Oh i know now. You should rather screw the brackets from the outside rather than from the inside. Make sure you screw them through the aluminum frame, not on the fiber board itself because it will break. Then you put another layer of fiber cement board so that the screws are not visible.
Ik heb ook zitten kijken naar de xiaomi gordijn motoren. Ik ben echter niet kapot van de gordijnen onder de rail. Het is mooier als je de rail helemaal niet ziet. Dus dat de gordijnen voor de rail hangen. Daarnaast vind ik de uiteinden van je gordijnen er een beetje gaar uitzien. Het hangt niet netjes recht en vraag me af of dit komt omdat je ze gewoon niet fatsoenlijk hebt opgehangen of dat dit niet anders kan met dit systeem. Anders zou ik zeker niet hiervoor gaan.

you can install the motor both sides. You have to configure the open mode (middle, right or left) with the strip the rail has inside

Had to replace the existing rails with compatibles ones. Not worth the cost.
If you have to replace your current tracks, it becomes more expensive yes. If you're moving into a new house/apartment, it might be interesting to set this up right away (that's what I did)
