    Question for you: Can these products interface with the more "mainstream" smart-home devices in the US? E.g. I'd love to buy some of those button switches (pretty inexpensive) to trigger pre-programmed actions with my Google Home Mini or Philips Hue lights.
    Xiaomi has been absolutely ridiculous these past few years. The variety and quality (considering the price) of their products are mind-boggling. I've only used a Red Mi phone and a set of wired headphones before. I stopped using the Red Mi because it was not compatible with US 4G network, but the headphones are still going strong, and both products were of superb values for the price.

    Located here, myself, in Australia. Many of these gadgets are available now, on eBay & Amazon (Australia). Locally or imported. Prices seem low, compared to if we buy using USD. So I'll be testing (ordering) now ..., but only for personal use. Not for publishing, nor reviewing.

    Hello, do you know if the Xiaomi Sockets (1st gen Mijia ones) will be recognized with the Aqara Gateway 3? or only the 2nd generation Zingbee generation ones? If you have any info will be greatly appreciated. Regards!

    Das heißt wenn ich ein xiaomi gateway habe, kann ich Geräte mit bluthooth trotzdem über die sprachsteurung ansprechen? Solange das gateway eine Verbindung mit meinem Sprach Assistenten hat oder?

    Awsome! By the way, all of the Mi sensors and most of the plugs and switches are designed by Lumi United Technology, one of Xiaomi ecosystem's company.

    I run a big building. Do I need more than one gateway so the small pieces can communicate?

    • @xiaomify
      @xiaomify  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The accessories of the gateway all connect over Zigbee, which uses mesh connections that extend the reach from the unit. (Basically by transferring data between the sub-devices until it reached the gateway.) Although in theory, you can extend that really far, the max distance between each device can be max 60 meter (in free field) and any obstacles like walls could decrease that range. So in theory it could be possible with one gateway, but it is really depending on your specific situation.

    Finding an app version that works properly (in English) would be awesome. The Mi Home app that I have, downloaded from Google Play Store - Version 4.2.5 - cannot find my Multifunction Gateway nor my Smart Socket II device. The only way I coudl add the lights was through the Yeelight app, which then made them available to the Mi Home app.
    Having the instructions for all of these products, and for that matter a fully functioning English app, would be awesome. Your video above is, so far, the best English advertising for these products - these *do* look rather promising if only there were English instructions on their setup.

    Hi, is it possible to combine rules from multiple devices? For example if I have light control from two sides of large room is it possible to tell "if turned on from either light switch, turn off from either light switch" ?

    This is a cool video! Really well done.
    I'm a big fan of the Xiaomi stuff, and would love to kit my house out with it entirely. The reason it's a no-go is that I'm in the UK, and the plugs aren't compatible.

    Do these wall plugs come in 3-pin British Standard also?

    • @xiaomify
      @xiaomify  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      At the moment they're only available in the Chinese 3-pin, so right now there's no other solution than to use an adapter.
      Or if you don't mind waiting, wait for them to release international versions. (Maybe this year, but don't know for sure if GB-plugs are in the making)

    Is it enough with one gateway in the house, how far does it reach? If I have the gateway in one room will it be okay for sensors in the living room or some where else? Or do I need more of gateways plugged in at different areas of the house.

      Voorlopig, naast blijven zeuren bij Xiaomi zelf, helaas nog niks.
      Ik zal ze nog wel een tijdje lastig blijven vallen ermee... Misschien als dit jaar meer producten 'internationaal gaan' dat dit wel opgelost zal zijn.

    Just to be clear, if you lose internet connection, will the Zigbee-based smart plugs still be switchable via the app, or triggered by the smart switch for example?
