I used the Flex at our Job site and it's very noticeable how much more full the sound is on my buddies DeWalt. Sounds so much better and the battery charging is a huge plus for sure.
I use the Metabo HPT because it is very compact, the controls are basic and intuitive, it gets great reception, and the sound is great. Nobody on the crew misses the fancy features. Just give us good sound and stay outta the way.
Nice to see that the new bosch it still leading, mine is more than a decade old of annoying my coworkers with the volume to the max and it still going strong!😂
Amen to the vote of confidence for the Bosch! I have had the Deluxe for over 10 years and have not found anything to be its equivalent. Remember the ad where they launched it from a trebuchet? Epic!
Wish you would’ve rearranged the playing/demo order as to highlight the Bosch’s subwoofer as both examples played the beginning of tracks which didn’t illustrate this range.
Excellent job guys! I really appreciate this video comparison, because I’m gonna be in the market soon to add a radio to my shop. Have a great day, and thanks again. Rick
Great video...! Thank you. I listened with a marshall speaker, and the distinct sound was perfect... Off to Amazon... and then the stores... Thanks again... excellent break down
Ive got the dewalt, only parts I dont like is the cord is like 2" short for the clip on the plug to actually hold decently (tried wrapping the cord every way possible, still 2" short) and the screen is only legible looking down and not at it
Nice, quick review! You simplified the results to what matters. In spite of the many opportunities for sound coloration I can hear the differences in each model. Nicely done.
Hate to make judgments listening through earbuds, but since we are comparing, it sounds like the Ryobi has the best overall total balance. A few of the others had egregiously large boosts or cuts at certain ranges within the frequency spectrum.
12:35 I am curious about whether your Bosch is comparable to the older Deluxe model which I have. I knew that they discontinued the Deluxe model because of the extra performance because of the costs, but I wouldn't settle for less. Mine is more than 10 years old and still performs great! I am rather particular about audio quality. I just now changed the battery in the included remote control. I even printed up a label that I installed on the top handle that said, "It is not yours, so don't touch ". I didn't have any Bosch 18 v batteries so I didn't care if it didn't charge. I can't think of a better jobsite radio, I now use it in my garage. Great video. Thanks. If you can remember the ads for this was that the radio was launched from a trebuchet and it still worked. Impressive indeed.
The dewalt one hands down is the best. mine survived hurricane ida, blew the roll up doors out the shop stuff everywhere radio just needed to be blown off still as loud and bassy as ever
From AMAZON, WOW, Pass on the Bosch. "It sounds great, and I got it at a great price. However, I was familiar with the Bosch radio that DOES charge batteries as well. The fact that it doesn't charge batteries is a deal breaker for me. One star!
It sounded to me like the Dewalt sounded crisper and had more range The Bosh and Hilti sounded good as well. The Milwaukee sounded like it was flat in range.
I have that bosch radio and the reception sucks, only 2 or 3 stations work. Keep in mind our warehouse is surrounded by metal and wood 1 floor above us. That is my only issue with it sound is ok tho i think milwaukee definitely beats the bosch in sound bass quality and radio signal. ✌️
Really all the ryobi speakers I have sound pretty good for the sizes. Wanting to try tht one and the new usb lithium one once they release it if they haven’t yet.
I don’t think I would waste my money on that Milwaukee from the people I have talked to their not much , break in about six months. That DeWalt and Bosh are great from what I have seen. Can’t speak for the other ones. The Milwaukee hard pass
Wouldn't the number one consideration be what tools you have and buy a radio based on your tools. Why buy the Milwaukee if you have DeWalt tools??? Why not just wear noise canceling earbuds?
I have my packout radio for about 3 years now. Using it almost every day on pretty high volume. Just recently changed the grill at the back because it was dented and hitting the subwoofer. Other then that no problems!
i appreciate the effort but i realized about halfway through that you're just going to pick the one you have batteries for anyways unless you can run them off battery adapter plates without a problem. that would actually be a great tool for that since the added bulk of the adapter wouldn't matter much on a radio. also surprised to see that most of these don't' have that much power output in terms of watts as they look like.
@@kentyler3962 i have a compact speaker that runs off on a 9 cell pack that has 90 watts, it looks about as big as the ridgid maybe smaller so i was a little disappointed with the performance on these. it last all day but i don't like having to bring it to power and plug it in I'd much rather slide a new pack in. i would have assumed they drive these harder since you can have bigger batteries and multiple but looks like most of them are designed to run all day maxed on a 5 cell 2ah battery. i bet that 40v speaker bumps. now I'm thinking about a way for me to plug m12 batteries into mine
How would you think that they don't have every battery platform that is available? They do this for a living! They literally are a tool testing company.
@@davids8493 I was talking about the consumer most likely only getting the radio that works with their tool batteries. in hindsight you could say that about any cordless tool review i guess
You want ruggedness and quick/easy battery replacement on a job site. I have several great sounding bluetooth speakers myself, but I wouldn't want to bang them up or take them to a muddy, sawdust filled site.
Why do you think that it was placed on the bottom? And with a screen? Nothing is going to fall on it. Are you going to put it down on top of a 2" x 4" with a spike coming out of it? Are you serious?
This has been the best review of radios that I’ve seen. Well done!👍🏾
Couldn't agree more!

Bosch will continously provide good jobsite radio
You were right the Bosch sounds the best.
I could pretty much tell by its construction
Digging the Bosch! 👍
I gave up on AM/FM radio a looooooong time ago. 3 songs followed by 12 mins of commercials. No thanks. Very thorough review. A+
Wish you would’ve rearranged the playing/demo order as to highlight the Bosch’s subwoofer as both examples played the beginning of tracks which didn’t illustrate this range.
It's so awesome to hear a real test of sound quality... instead of someone just saying " it sounds great"!
Fantastic my choice ...Bosch👊🏻
On sale at Lowes for 159
Excellent job guys! I really appreciate this video comparison, because I’m gonna be in the market soon to add a radio to my shop. Have a great day, and thanks again.
Rick
18:52 Bosch hands down! Through my cellphone. Flex wasn't horrible for second place. Thanks again.
Okay
Im listening to this video with the DeWalt 025
Im happy with the sound quality.
Great video...! Thank you. I listened with a marshall speaker, and the distinct sound was perfect... Off to Amazon... and then the stores... Thanks again... excellent break down
I work at HD and I get to play with a lot of job site radios and I love the Milwaukee one since day one. I can’t wait to try out the new ryobi radio.
I just ordered the Ryobi today. I can't wait to try it out, it should be a great camping speaker.
Ive got the dewalt, only parts I dont like is the cord is like 2" short for the clip on the plug to actually hold decently (tried wrapping the cord every way possible, still 2" short) and the screen is only legible looking down and not at it

LOWES HAS THE BOSH ON SALE FOR 159.00 AT THAT PRICE ITS THE OBVIOUS CHOICE
Same on Amazon! No charge batteries.

I have 2 Makita speakers in my garage that pair together. Parent and child. For great stereo sound.
The dewalt one hands down is the best. mine survived hurricane ida, blew the roll up doors out the shop stuff everywhere radio just needed to be blown off still as loud and bassy as ever
The Dewalt was very brash and bright sounding IMHO. No bass. You may like that quality.
From AMAZON, WOW, Pass on the Bosch. "It sounds great, and I got it at a great price. However, I was familiar with the Bosch radio that DOES charge batteries as well. The fact that it doesn't charge batteries is a deal breaker for me. One star!
Do you use DAB in the US. What about a Makita comparison. No other brand has a colour display I think, and the sound is pretty good.
No, DAB is not used here in the states. We do have XM satellite radio, which is superior in terms of channel variety.
Great review. Drives me nuts they all seem to use USB-A ports only...
It sounded to me like the Dewalt sounded crisper and had more range
The Bosh and Hilti sounded good as well.
The Milwaukee sounded like it was flat in range.
I’ve had the Dewalt for 4 or 5 years…it takes some abuse and still sounds great….bluetooth range is terrible though
nice!

Idk Wht speakers tti uses but I think the ryobi and Milwaukee sound the best, imo

Makita?
Makita XRM09B lt’s excellent!
@@irwinbryancI’m running xgt and I have the grm03 which is basically the same thing but takes the 3 types of battery and it prefects for me
1. Bosch
2. Dewalt
3. Ryobi

The milwaukee radios I've tried didn't last very long..

I’ve had this pack out radio for years and it’s holding up fantastic🙄
No problems here bud. 3 years going strong

so, was the flashing 12:00 in time with the music on purpose?
Para mí el mejor es ryobi sobre todos además se puede conectar con otras bocinas de más
El mejor en sonido es bosch pero por funcionalidad diseño color rojo, esoacio para guardar celular catgarlo etc me quedo con Milwaukee
Good review, missing one thing. How long will it play on a battery.
That would depend on several factors, such as listening volume and battery capacity.
Get one that operates on plug and battery so you don't have to worry about that. Only initial framers and concrete guys have to worry about no power.

So did you intentionally skip the dewalt toughsystem radio? Hands down better than every one you reviewed. What a joke
i heard most of these radio
all of them sound like crap anyway
some just loud
bluetooth spdakers? choose jbl, beats pill, bose, tribit, ue, instead!

Dewalt...the Bosch is nice but that sub speaker on bottom not protected...it could get easily damaged

DEWALT OR BOSCH.
Bosh on sale for 159 at Lowes makes it the best choice today
Bosch hands down!
Bosch are great, but the biturbo tools keep breaking with me. Most of my power tools are now M12
No Makita???
Where is metabo?
No Makita??
