I bought the green Target backpack back in October to use on Spirit flight in November. I honestly stuffed it! I measured the bag discreetly in the bag sizer, and it didn’t fit. However, no one questioned me and I was cleared to board the flight without paying. I’ve used it multiple times for weekend road trips since then and it’s been great, but I know for a fact I can’t use it on a Frontier flight in April since they are much stricter. My advice is to just be careful on how much you are stuffing any travel backpack because the bag isn’t structured and expands a good bit, especially with the front pockets and everything! I had to move a couple things from the front to the main compartment to flatten out the bag more. But backpacks are SO easy to travel with compared to other bags! Happy travels! :)

Doesn’t have the back strap/flap to hook onto luggage handle. I came upon an older version of the Target bag on clearance for 15$. Sewed on that back strap and it is perfect for travel. Meets the personal bag size limit.
Forgot to mention target bag has ability to go on telescoping rolling bag. Even though it appears like it has less padding it is very quite comfortable and the design without all the additional pockets allows it to keep its “figure” therefore not puffing up to being too large for under the seat. The material in the laptop portion appealed to me because I use a tablet and it cleans the screen as I place the tablet in the pocket.
I have the green one I got like 3 years ago and it traveled well … I flew jet blue and the bag fits over head and under the seat and surprisingly fits a lot of stuff ❤

I have a bag by Wandr in a light color with better organization and the trolley sleeve holds the backpack straps. It was only $32. I have many backpacks priced 80-$150 and this new $32 backpack is my favorite personal item. It comes in a lot of different colors and has a wet bag, as well.
Sure! I will probably do a packing video of how I will pack this backpack for a 4 day trip using only this personal item no other luggage. My favorite luggage right now is BEIS
Not at all. Personal item would be considered as small. The airlines have different confusing requirements. You would need to check with that airline and take measurements of luggage you want to take.

So I actually took a trip with the Amazon bag on spirit airlines(very strict with size). I guess I must’ve over packed the bag(too fat) because it did not fit into the personal bag size thing without pushing it a little down. The gate agent said it mush slide down without any pushing. I decided to try a different bag for my next trip called take off where the wheels come off so won’t be doing a packing video with the bag afterall sorry,

That front compartment seems ideal for a square water bottle (doesn't roll), umbrella.

I got the Amazon one for $34. I liked the other colors but got Black also.

The Target bag can tuck away the backpack straps.

Soo there’s 2 options for large backpack for the Amazon backpack is this just the large versions or is the large L version?

I have both. But I tend to grab my target bag more. It's bigger and pockets are more useful than on the Amazon bag.
