informative, but the back -round music is very distracting while you are explaining settings.

Helpful as I kept hearing about the Vase Mode but never found out where and how to set it up in Cura?
Funny as plenty of 3D printers talked about using it but never how to even find it on the system?
Just a little bit of pointing out here, You need big time to sort out your volume and quality of the Audio used on the voice over recording as I had to increase my volume on the TV to 50% higher than normal and turn on Amplify to just about hear your voice and no I not hard of hearing either!

I don't have the "SHELL" option in the settings. Is it a plugin? Also my wall thickness is grayed out to .8 and I can't change it

just as a heads up if you want your vase to be waterproof do not use vase mode. add more initial bottom layers and make sure you have about 3 walls.

so im attempting a vase mode model but im having a real pain in the ass problem.
your video was good btw for easy settings at the start, but you need a better way of actually showing us with your mouse, you did up to a point, but when mentioning speed of print, i saw nothing.
now im experenced enough to know were these are, but if your doing a tutorial, then make all your actual instructions clear, and espcially point out were all they are, as there maybe a complete beginners watching.
    back to my problem.
so it prints fine other than the whole model has fine dots on it all over, and watching it i can see its kind of stopping and making a small blob every so oftem.
now i read it could be retraction, so i stopped retraction.nope still blobs.
so i thought, could ne the model, fetched a proper vase model, and nope, blobs again.
it basically looks like my model has spots all over it.
so anybody any ideas, or even full cura settings for a Vase print that should help me with my problem.
would appreciate every setting you use to print a perfect vase would help me.
my printer btw is an Ender 3 pro V2.
oh i thought i would also mention, the printer litrally printed a flawless model right before this.
you can check some screen shots on my twitter, (tozol)
    thanks for any help.

Could be the filament also don‘t deactivate retraction. Add a mm or two to the retraction distance and make retraction speed 2-3mm/s faster

Guys I fixed the “dot “ problem from another video, took weeks to track down.
It was a safety feature built into the ender software, that was pausing for a millisecond ever layer.. which created the dot.
The video I found who’s how to remove that line of Gcode, soon as I did , perfect prints.

Anything to do with making overhangs look cleaner on prints. Great vid!

    • @DPrinting-wv3bw
      @DPrinting-wv3bw  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@jackwilson7502 Hey Jack, I've made a vid on overhangs which you can find at --> th-cam.com/video/Cct6yFzoVFk/w-d-xo.html . I might make a remake of that video since the editing isn't really up to standards, so might add some more info to that. Generally though I'd try either using supports or increase your fan speed, the support would give your printer a flat base to work from and the fan speed will make the filament set faster so it doesn't droop. Thanks for the compliment :D

I’ll be completely honest, it’s been years since I’ve touched this channel at all. I was just a 14 y.o kid making 3D printing videos and I know if I’d have seen this comment I’d be genuinely hurt. However, based off the fact I’ve gone unseen for the past couple years and have amassed 150 of my subscribers since becoming inactive, I’d like to think these videos have helped some :) the aim of this channel was for me to expand my content production skills, providing help to others as a secondary motive. I am sorry that my clearly drowned out mic led to the video being unhelpful for some, but before producing a cowell-esque review on what others have already pointed out (generally in a much more polite fashion) - I was only 14 man 🙂 give it a rest!
Tldr: don’t go so harsh on people who obviously sound like kids; plenty of others have been able to find the video helpful despite my clear OBS ineptitude :)

I likely won’t continue to upload as life has become more time fraught for me, but any future comments on my videos I will gladly respond to with help where I can 😀
