😤SO MUCH HATRED👹 RIP PRINCE ROGERS NELSON Thank God for all the Blessings that you give to an EVIL WORLD of ADOLESCENT IGNORANT PEOPLE WHO ENVY YOUR GENIUS EXAMPLFED🎼 🎶
He would make it hard to cover his songs by doing things like detuning, multi-bass lines, etc.... Does he not understand what a "cover" is?? Its one artist's interpretation of a song written by someone else. None of this stuff matters unless the artist was trying to copy the sound rather than cover the song.
I remember when I first started learning guitar, I wanted to learn how to play Purple Rain because I love Prince and it sounded like one of the his easiest songs to learn, so I gave it a shot. When I found out how that song was played, it completely blew my mind how insanely complex and intricate just the first 4 chords were. Just goes to show that Prince truly was one of the greatest musicians to ever pick up a guitar, no one could ever do it quite like him
I know -- his people tried to sue me for my cover of "When Doves Cry." (All parts played on Bass). But people are allowed to do their own versions, so I won that one.
This is mostly bullshit. Prince watched Alicia Keys cover his song Adore U and loved it, he couldnt have praised it more.. Most musicians layer their tracks. Hendrix had 4 or 5 layers of guitar, its just normal. The purpose was to produce something that just sounded different. This guy probably just heard Prince maka a throwaway remark about one person's shitty cover and made his own story for clout. Prince was a musician, its an honor for someone to adopt one of your songs, as long as they do so respectfully..
You do realize that he played drums with Prince for several years in the NPG starting in the early 90s and did a session with Prince a couple months before Prince passed.
Here's a true fact. We all know by now that Prince played the keyboards on Stevie Nicks' Stand Back. Nicks on record said when she tours she has to hire two keyboardists just to play Stand Back and those two combined cannot exactly replicate what Prince did by himself.
No,no,no comparison, music is just your inspiration, they both composed, produced, and written songs, prince may plays many instruments it's just gift ,like in the bible, some receive more gifts than the others, all prince albums have sold around 150 millions, when just one Michael album sells 120 millions copies ,l don't even need to named it,l'll let you guess, many artists like Steve Wonder, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, boosty Colins, sting, Teddy Riley, babyface,r.kelly etc... are multi-instrumentalists,why we Nevers mention their musical gifs, for me playing several instruments is just a plus, that doesn't make you the goat, like l said before, God gives more gifts than others, the most important is how and why you use it, prince is very talented, makes beautifull songs,a showman,etc... Michael calls himself an instrument of nature in this way God gives him the inspiration to share is love and messages of peace for a better world to through his music and his others gifts for the general interest and not for his own ego, me,myself and l,that the différence between the two, Michael is not afraid to collaborate with others,to bringing out the best from the artists with whom he collaborates, you can see it in the rehearsals of the this it tour how he works with his musicians and espacialy the guitarist woman he controls everything, you said when we asked prince who is better of the two and he smiles that means a lot , Michael set the bar very high it exeeds what is the true définition of the greatest artists of all the time in all the fields ,the day of his death, the internet connexion exploded more than the day of the élection of the first black president of the united states Barack Obama.may they both rest in peace, may God bless you in the precious and mighty name of our lord jesus Christ Amen Amen Amen 💯✌️👍🙏♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Foo Fighters "Darling Nikki" is a testament to their love and respect for the Artist!
It's PHENOMENAL! ❤
If ur gonna cover a song, THIS is how u do it!
Love that version Bernacide. Prince obviously was a Foo fan too.
Prince loved other artists covering his work, he actively chose which songs he'd give out!!
🎉😊❤
I’m sure at one point, he needed the money.
😒So now the animals or trying to do what he was against....the interview sound so exciting ....😔RIP Prince my dear brother...✊🏿
GENIUS ALL AROUND
"He would do things with tape..🤨 ..that nobody was trying."😳💀💀
prince might have been okay with covers
prince didnt want anyone but prince making decisions about princes music, like who could cover it.
That's true. He was a micromanager on all his music. Pure excellence. Thanks for watching.
Remarkable, he was a musical genius 💜
I don't think we will ever find out all his genius in our lifetime. Thanks for watching and your words.
The man went through such great lengths to make sure his legacy was in tact. And yet somehow, the state of Minnesota and his lawyers claims he died WITHOUT a will?? GTFOH.
Interesting 🤔
Prince was a musical genius, yes, but this is ridiculous BS. Making your recording complicated does not make it hard to cover a song. Thats just dumb to think so.
"THEE" ultimate artist. Completely complete.
This isn’t true, prince loved people covering his tunes, he also dug the $
Stop saying junk to fit the narrative.
What's the plan for the samples?
Be interesting to know how all his gems will be released. Personally, I'd love to see more high quality concert videos released. Thanks for watching
It was probably when he was gonna come out with a sample cd set that was $700 that he was gonna sell on 1800 new funk
Such an incredible musician and performer mostly inspired by also being a massive prick
Prince Rogers Nelson was a musician! Something the majority of these “recording artists” will never understand. His music was spiritually his truth.
Perfectly said. Prince was a real deal deal musician.
There's no such thing as "his truth" There's only truth.
Prince Caught Mike and Played passed him💚🌍
With all due respect the trite nursery rhymes and funk retreads are not that impressive or intimidating .... He is an accomplished musician but an over rated writer
😤SO MUCH HATRED👹 RIP PRINCE ROGERS NELSON Thank God for all the Blessings that you give to an EVIL WORLD of ADOLESCENT IGNORANT PEOPLE WHO ENVY YOUR GENIUS EXAMPLFED🎼 🎶
He was definitely a great writer of urban music.
@@RocStarr913 frankly I dont think that argument can be made considering his competition...like Rick James for example Prince was bubble gum pop
He would make it hard to cover his songs by doing things like detuning, multi-bass lines, etc.... Does he not understand what a "cover" is??
Its one artist's interpretation of a song written by someone else. None of this stuff matters unless the artist was trying to copy the sound rather than cover the song.
I wonder then, if he was against Chaka for covering I Feel For You?
Prince was a musical genius. The world lost something special when he died..
*”Prince Nelson Rodgers is the goat” 🐐💜 - MELL DUNEY 616*
I remember when I first started learning guitar, I wanted to learn how to play Purple Rain because I love Prince and it sounded like one of the his easiest songs to learn, so I gave it a shot. When I found out how that song was played, it completely blew my mind how insanely complex and intricate just the first 4 chords were. Just goes to show that Prince truly was one of the greatest musicians to ever pick up a guitar, no one could ever do it quite like him
Great take on Purple Rain. Love when musicians break it down.
The Dutch band the Time Bandits did a respectable cover of “Purple Rain.”
I don't know...sinead O'Connor did it better in my opinion ❤
And ironically he's one of the go-to artists that local bands here cover lol
THAT DOESNT SURPRISE ME AT ALL!!!😮😮😮✔😢😢!!
What's up Mike Bland ...... good to hear from you your family The Holman's 18th and Como....
Thanks for the comment. MB is the real deal Holyfield.
that's what makes him so GREAT ❤️🔥💥💜🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
So many things that Prince pushed forward that now look like genius. Thanks for the comment and view.
This is what me and PrinCe use to do and I still do! ❤ 😜
GENIUS!
💯✊🏽
Only a master musician can do that.
I know -- his people tried to sue me for my cover of "When Doves Cry." (All parts played on Bass). But people are allowed to do their own versions, so I won that one.
Good that you were able to record it. Thanks for the comment.
I don't have a favorite Prince song. They all are my favorite. That's the Genius of this man's GOD given talent. Rest in peace GOD needed you more.😊❤
I love the phrase God needed him more. His whole catalog is breathtaking.
Nothing compares to you
This is mostly bullshit.
It's amazing Prince just rolled in the studio in the middle of the night Laid the track and it is legendary.
That’s why he always smiled when people ask who’s better him or MJ🤣😂🤣
Listen I'm not a big Prince fan but I do/did respect the man as a musician.
It sounds like he was a bit or a big selfish of him not wanting to cover his songs.
I mean the songs that I like the most from Prince happened to be covers from Creed, Joni Mitchell and Led Zeppelin.
I don't if he ever recorded any of them but he did cover them. I'm cool with him doing it.
Stay well my friends.
Great discussion Joe King. You definitely know your music.
Ahhhh no wonder,….. tricky bastard. 😂😂😂😂
He had a lot of tricks up his sleeve. Thanks for watching.
One of the best musical geniuses of our generation. He made sure his legacy was HIS, not anyone else's.
Exactly. We were blessed to have experience Prince's genius.
Prince didn't want his music slutted out by the industry, thus why he was alive you could not stream his music. After his death, they slutted out his music and made his home open for tour to the public which he avoided while alive. RIP Prince!
I'm sure she would be less than happy with some things. RIP.
this was common in music. just like orchestral music had layers, so did modern pop music
Good point. He had a knack for orchestrating his bands just right.
Don't be sad he's gone, just be happy he was here - Dr. Suess (kind of)
Great way to look at it. He gave us so much.
