- This is a video from me, DarkspinesSonic A.K.A Da1AndOnlySonic, showing every modern stage while using the Super Sonic skill on Sonic Generations for the PS3. The ring depletion Super Sonic experiences in Sonic Generations is a shame, but with proper ring management the end result is pretty awesome for some of the stages. With that being said, which one is your favorite? I made this video in response to a request that was made to me. Enjoy! ^_^

I really am glad that Sonic generations changed things up with the super Sonic runs. Before it was just an invincible slightly more faster version of Sonic. But in this u can fly and most of all his other moves are much more effective in course obstacles. And the fact that flying takes up rings rapidly really gives you that "use it wisely" feel which makes it more realistic and not letting you be too OP
There is a supersonic mod which let's u be hyper and if u have the flying it uses it at a regular rate so it is op :v
@@zackdeverill1146 Hyper is supposed to be OP but it’s also non-cannon which is sad. Really do hope the form makes an appearance sometime
@@galixy_gacha5926 some people have heard of Frontiers having a Hyper Sonic leak for the final bossfight due to dimension hopping, and I hope so too

To this day, even after SA2, I'm _still_ wondering how a freaking massive truck like that can actually keep up with Sonic.

Be that as it may, no vehicle should be able to match pace with Sonic or Shadow
The truck used rockets at the end.

It really isnt theres something called good ring management where i for example turn super when i have 170 rings

Speed Highway might be my favorite, because of how that rocket so graciously catches up to Sonic at 8:00, as if he needed its help. But in terms of the run itself, your ring management on Planet Wisp was really impressive!

I've played most sonic games but i've never played this one, is it better than Sonic Adventure 1 and 2? Because i always believed those to be the pinnacle of Sonic games

Wow. Simply brilliant. About three years ago (2012) after I got Sonic Generations and unlocked Super Sonic I immediately tried doing some Super Sonic Speed Runs (Modern). Stages such as Green Hill, Rooftop Run, Sky Santuary, Seaside Hill/Ocean Hill and Crisis City were my favorite and therefore I practice non stop trying to perfect my SSSRs. Whenever I went on youtube I would hardly or sometimes never see any SSSR. I know his rings depletion has been HEAVILY nerfed, especially when he fly boosts, but I never gave up and kept trying. With enough practice, just as you demonstrated in this video, SS can be more devastating than your regular SR (Without breaking/Glitching the stage). Now the techs you showed by switching from Sonic Boom (Ground version) to Super Sonic Boom (Flight version) was magnificent. I would had never thought to take the paths and use his boosts wisely as you did. Once again bravo.
When you boost with Super Sonic, how do you boost on the ground bc for me when I do it he is always in air
Anthony Millien On some parts SS will fly whileon others he won't. All I can say is test and learn what areas he will start flying.

Very cool video. The stages where Super Sonic fits the best are Speed Highway and Rooftop Run and Planet Wisp to me. The first two since the music fits with him and Planet Wisp since he could turn Super at will in that game as well.

7:49 I've been playing this game now for nearly 12 years and only now have I discovered this route exists on Speed Highway. I don't remember ever going that way
I've discovered it just recently because of a guide about red star rings

Did you know that if you just hold left or right on the tricks section. You get more boost because the trick is so quick it can repeat nearly double the amount of times that going through random directions could go.

Which stage is the easiest to activate Super Sonic( Has the most rings)?
FAST AF BOIII.
I think it is a tie between Crisis City and Speed Highway, because that was some intense flying.
The only thing I hate about Super Sonic in sonic generations is the ring consumption.
At first I had 60 rings with modern sonic, went super, and used the boost. Ten seconds didn't even pass by and I ended up with 17 rings
I also like the rockets in Planet Wisp. I just love it for some reason!
Ok, I know I'm very late, but why the Ring count drain so fast as Super Sonic? I thought it was supposed to be one ring per second, but here we are looking like 2 rings a second.

Outta all the stages I like in this game I like chemical plant, sky sanctuary, city escape, and every modern era level in the entire game anyway nice job there. :D

How do you not lose rings faster when you boost/fly? For me on PS3, when I do that, Sonic uses up rings a LOT faster, but here, it doesn't, why?
i dont have this game, but it was damn awesome to watch. especially the city escape level (8:33) cause it was rather nostalgic. :P brings back memories of my first sonic game.

it is cool how you managed to not make your ring count go to zero. Especially when you boost, you lose like 10 rings every second
