No, they got rid of it to make Forces skill based for super sonic. Also to make super sonic actually feel fast enough, something we haven't seen since sonic 3

@@gokublackmasteredultrainst7663 "Depending the amount of rings you have." Have you've every play sonic GENS if you have you would know all the levels in the game lack rings making it impossible to boost for full 30 seconds.
9:15 if you use super speed you can stay the same speed as the robot and also super Sonic stays the same speed as the robot so we can tell that super Sonic is the same speed as super speed glitch
You have to let go of the boost then press it again

I just wish the base game’s superform toll didn’t literally JUICE the life out of your ring counter like a flipping Apple in Tropical Coast. Then maybe Super Sonic would be worth giving up all your skill point slots for. Because you could actually use it and enjoy the feeling for more than like fifteen seconds.

Its because it is a scripted event those are basically just parts of a level that cannot be avoided. Like in sonic mania studiopolis act 1 the boss everytime you hit a rocked you get into an area that makes you lose all control the reason for that is so you don't some how skip the boss or end up in an area that you're not supposed to be in.

I never really liked how they made Modern Super Sonic so automated in Generations. Like, for him, it's mostly just "press and hold the boost button without any other bit of input". I like it better when Super Sonic in normal stages is just Sonic, but much faster and invincible. Giving him automation is not fun.
But you can turn it off. Also wrong yu can control super during flight with the analog. That's you control multiple pathways

Bruh I hated this feature so much in this game. Takes all the fun out of being super sonic. When I get this Im pc Im for sure getting a mod to turn it off
It also drains rings at around 8 per second when flying, meaning you can only really use it for around 10 seconds before you run out of rings

Super sonic was so broken in Generations, he even drains 2 rings per second. Half of modern's super sonic animations are missing, and classic super sonic has a much slower acceleration than normal.
Modern super sonic literally unplayable on console. Can’t stay super for more than 15 second
But its so much more realistic, look in animes super sonic is always high up in the air
