The REAL mike thegamerguy24 The every console is well capable of get 60fps, developers like to settle for 30fps because its easy for them. You barely see 40fps or 50fps except for when 60fps dips. You expect us to believe that generations is only able of doing 30fps?

I wish Planet Wisp had more 3D gameplay in it, instead of the second half of the stage being in 2D

Love that they kept the elements that made sonic unleashed the great game it was in sonic generations. Has that sonic unleashed feel with the stunning level designs with amazing graphics that's a wonderful joyride

I like this game, but I disagree with your opinion, Generations has absolutely nothing like Unleashed, starting with the level design of the stages that are simpler and become boring when they transition to 2D; another detail is the time of the phases that are shorter than in Unleashed. The level of difficulty in Generations decreased, a good example is how easy it was to get an S in the phases, when in Unleashed to get an S requires more dedication and perfectionism. Classic Sonic's 2D stages vary greatly from great (Chemical Zone) to bad (Planet Wisp) Generations isn't a bad game, but it doesn't come close to Unleashed's level, either in terms of story or level development. A pity that it was heavily criticized at the time by "journalist gamers", but in my opinion Unleashed is an excellent game.

i came only for 15:01, seeing rooftop run in 60fps is just beatiful.
Best sonic game. The pure adrenaline from these levels is insane.
I love this game to death, I just wished we had more stages or at least 2 acts for each sonic so it could be 4 acts in total for each zone. Still a remarkable game even many years later
Yeah. I wish they had an original last level, maybe set in the same place where you fight the final boss. I always think it’s weird that Planet Wisp Zone is the last level in the game.

The modern stages in generation and the day stages in unleashed, probably my favorite way to play a sonic game! Its fun as hell to go that fast, forces did it wrong somehow tho, levels feel incredibly short and half of the game is automated like why cant i boost on a loop :(

sometimes i think eggman is really a platform genius he makes platforms for sonic to jump on or robots for his homing attack to give him more speed and even an entire city so sonic can run in or is he just playing with sonic and watching the video on his cozy chair

One thing I like about generations is that if you do enough tricks, it overloads the boost. Kinda like Rush

I have Generations and I play it on a custom-built PC, but I dropped my jaw when I saw this running on my Mac. It's amazing how much of a difference 60fps makes even through a compressed video on the web.
Man did I love this game when it came out. I’ve never seen it look so good, I’ve been a fan since sonic adventure DX, and battle, then sonic heroes. I even liked the one (sonic riders?) where they’re all on hover boards and of course I had to get the sonic collection and play the originals and I enjoy those as well. I was happy that they announced a sonic movie, even with it looking shitty, I was just glad to see that they’re making one. Luckily, they’re fixing the design so it’ll look better. Now we just need a bad ass new game to help bring back the franchise. If Pokémon can have a healthy resurgence (still a fan), then sonic totally can also.

I LOVE this Game. Whoever is playing is really good. Also, I don’t think many people know this, but Sonic Runs at the Speed of Sound because it’s Fun to him. This is but a small fraction of his true Speed. Sonic Even states running at the speed of light is very easy for him.
I'd like to see this game on PS4/Xbox One. But given how Sega keeps "reinventing" Sonic, it'll probably never happen.

Sega finds a winning formula and abandons it. This is what sonic is all about. Bringing back old levels and theme songs and updating it. Even combing 2d and 3d. It works very well. I’m 35 and played sonic since the mega drive and master system. The nostalgia in this game was charming and the game itself was brilliant. I can’t see the new frontiers game even coming close to this.
Bro they arent gonna listen to us. Were old and "have our boomer glasses on" for the the original 90s games. Im 34 and Sonic 1 - 3 was the PINACLE of the Sonic franchise for me and Mania was just a love letter. These kids only really like modern Sonic and I think thats okay I just wished they kept it in this realm. Angel Island Westside Island and South Island. Focus on the Master Emerald again and robotniks death egg. Sylize the game to fit SONIC.The movie for example did it well. Stop putting HUMANS AND DEVINE BEINGS and stuff. I was watching Sonic Frontiers footage. Gross. Imaginew open world Sonic where you could traverse the old levels from the original Sonic games in 3d. Id be down. OR AT LEAST Mania 2.

Pal, I gotta say it, you're the goat in this game! As a Sonic Colors player, hats down to you for speedrunning this game's zones like a pro! Also, this game and Sonic Unleashed (PS3/Xbox 360) are the reason the boost mechanic is my favorite in the franchise!
You should have turned off Omochao, but other than that, your speedruns are amazing. Especially those leaps of faith.

I love this game very much. 60 FPS on PC is the definitive way to play this game. (Though I do have very brief moments from time to time where my FPS drops and my jumps become unresponsive. Only lasts for 1 second at a time but it sucks when it does happen.

Indeed, quite the excellent choice of game to test out 60fps on TH-cam. I always find myself coming back to this one. The choice of stages, remixes, I love a lot about this game and I'm only sad it never got a sequel because I would just love me some more stages and remixes.

My favorite sonic game and probably one of my favorites ever. When im bored i just search up "sonic generations" and it keeps me addicted for like, 1 hour or more without breaks. Such an amazing game, perfect. It really is a masterpiece. Wish they'd bring this to ps4 and now ps5. This game is so perfect i have almost no words to describe it. Like, the sound tracks are so fitting to each level, the level design is amazing (excluding planet wisp), the graphics for a 2011 game are mind blowing. And the fact that it took the best levels and boss fights from each games over the years and put them together ina unique and fabulous way just blows my mind. Plus it just hits me with nostalgia. This looks like or maybe even better than sonic forces. Remember, this is from 2011, not 2018/2019. This game will forever be in my heart, can't forget the epic boss fights and levels.
Wish they made things like this but they just try to create random shit... Like they put classic sonic in Sonic Forces with no reason... Infinite power created illusions, not time traveling and time shifting.

I like to think that the music from modern stages is meant to represent how each sonic story after 06 is less serious than the previous one.
What I like about planet wisp is the beginning where is has that concept of having a destination. Like how sonic is in the forest and he “arrives” to the egg man base place thing, and he must get to the top. The whole level feels like a journey of you realize it.

This game got me back to Sonic. Looked at the other games, went away again.
60fps is the only way to play a modern Sonic game. The game and its art style or artistic direction still look great even years after its release.
These games always knew how to make excellent, larger-than-life backgrounds, ever since the first Sonic game.
