      I figured out how pointless it was when he showed the usual straight line. And then I thought « but if it s a straight line I can just have a look at the sheet characteristic top speed and that’s it » and now I wonder if he somehow considered to be hard to throttle up or something maybe the ergo?
      Anyway I m buying an rs660 because I live on an island with mountain roads. Obviously 🙄 I couldn’t care less about 9 more mph with 4 cylinders instead of 2.
      I am genuinely confused about the sense of this video.
      It reminds me of the « my car beats a fighter jet on the first 100 meters » yes your car has grips and does not rely on réaction also your car max altitude is 0 foot.

    • @rohitrevankar7674
      @rohitrevankar7674 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know you wanted a reply from MotoTV but since its been a week lemme tell you the rs660 is no match for the R6 or ZX6r on the track or the road....the only area where the rs660 could possibly keep up is through twisties and that would be rider dependent....its a more expensive bike for Italian or Aprilia fanboys giving decent performance but not a class competitor...this review is hugely biased....we can all agree that its probably gonna have excellent ride quality and build but its easily a level below the two bikes I mentioned...the electronics are way too OP for it too hence the price...

    • @nickin6ck98
      @nickin6ck98 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      my guess is that a rs660 smokes a classic 600cc 4zylinder sportsbike from a traffic light to 60km/h ;)

    • @thenateos

      @@rohitrevankar7674 You're so wrong... The RS 660 is a daily bike that can eventualy be used on track. The R6 and ZX6R are track bikes that can eventualy be used on road.
      It's not a level below, it's just different. If you're not making a lot of track days and want to used it daily and for long trips, it's better than a supersport.
      The only thing true is there's too much electronics in it only to justify the high price.

    • @rohitrevankar7674
      @rohitrevankar7674 3 ปีที่แล้ว

I am not arguing if its a good bike or not.. it's probably a great bike... personally can't stand the looks.. but one thing I did not consider is that both the R6 and ZX6R are discontinued for BS6 updates... so that makes the RS660 the clear choice in the segment although again no way for it to be a justified competitor against the likes of the other 2....

    • @thenateos
      @thenateos 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@rohitrevankar7674 My bad, I misunderstood. I don't think Aprilia wants the RS 660 to be considered as a supersport.

    • @Fearless154
      @Fearless154 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Fake news! the 155mph is the best you can get out of zx6 on the GPS. The problem some people change the gearing ratios without adjusting the speed sensor and it's showing no real top speed.

    • @rohitrevankar7674
      @rohitrevankar7674 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Fearless154 you dont need to change the gearing ratios lol.....if you mean ECU flash thats totally different..its to do with power mapping...the stock bikes are heavily restricted outside Japan...170mph is the absolute limit on a stock bike with no mods other than ECU flash...but the rider needs to be absolutely on the limit and have perfect engine and tyre temps which is not comparable to real world daily settings...and that track was cold...both bikes would go much faster on a warmer day...stick ZX6r optimal conditions :160mph easy....

    • @Fearless154
      @Fearless154 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@rohitrevankar7674 What it has anything to do with what I just said.
      It's common knowledge in any motorcycle tuning shop that you must adjust the speedometer after changing the gearing or it will show a much higher speed than the reality. The speed sensors are adjusted to calculate the stock gearing ratios.

    • @rohitrevankar7674
      @rohitrevankar7674 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Fearless154 Dude getting 165-170 mph from a ZX6R has nothing to do with modifying its gearing....you can do that if you want but not required its already the shortest gearing as stock in its class...the top speed tests I have seen and observed are on stock setups with only a ECU flash...which maps power, doesnt physically alter gear ratios...

    • @Fearless154
      @Fearless154 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@rohitrevankar7674 Listen carefully, buddy.
      The speed on the speedometer is irrelevant because even stock bikes have around 15% of error if you want to measure the true speed you must use the GPS.
      Is it possible to see the 170MPH on the speedometer, yes but it's not the true speed of the bike simple as that.
      Changing the gearing for a taller setup will increase the speed but decrease the acceleration and vice versa.
      I've ridden many 600cc and I have owned 2017 r6 no 600cc can reach 170MPH on the GPS.

      Not it's not. My friend owned the 2014 and now 2019 model. 2014 model is a bit taller geared and the top speed is 164mph on the GPS with full system exhaust and ECU flash. 2019 model has the same engine but a bit shorter gearing ratios for better torque in lower RPMs the top speed is 155mph on the GPS with full system exhaust and ECU flash.

    • @rohitrevankar7674
      @rohitrevankar7674 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Fearless154 it really depends on the rider, shift style and condition of your bike specifically.....the 2019 Zx6r is not slower than the 2014 model LOL...you can watch videos of ZX6rs going faster than 155 mph...if you find a strip long enough, a stock ZX6r should match or better the ECU flashed 2014....and anyways the 2014 bike will take ages to get anywhere close to over 150 mph ...totally impractical with that acceleration..its basically a poor comparison to make...those bikes are dinosaurs now ....with a 2019 ZX6r ECU flashed 175 is realistic...

    Taylor, I checked one out last week and REALLY disliked the handlebar shape and positioning. Too low, too wide, and unnaturally angled. On a bike supposedly designed with real world, street-friendly ergonomics it just felt all wrong, and I would not like the stock bars on street or track. Something more like an earlier CBR600F (or my Z1000SX!) would have been far more versatile, I think. As they say, your mileage may vary.
    Greetings to your pops Niall, who I enjoyed watching at Laguna Seca!

      I think they've tried to market for people who think they want a supersport, like an R6 but with much better street performance and not directly as a competitor for the sport touring category like the Ninja or Honda CBR F.
      For me, personally, who loves sitting in low bikes but prefers to ride a slow bike fast than a screamy I4 R6/ZX6R at 'slow' speeds aka street speeds; this is just marvelous.
      I could only find this similarity on the KTM RC390 or a Yamaha R3, but this provides a lot more grunt, similar weight and much, much better rider assists and on-board computers for today's smart rider.
      As a matter of fact, the bikes for our market, the Portuguese, are completely sold out!
