STORYLINE:
Mexican and Dutch soldiers joined relief efforts on Saturday at a church distribution centre in Biloxi, Mississippi.
The Mexicans and Dutch were helping to direct traffic and load food and water into the cars of people affected by Hurricane Katrina.
About 35 Dutch sailors and about 75 Mexican marines were helping at Biloxi's First Baptist Church, which has been major distribution point for food rations, water and ice since the hurricane.
The U.S government estimates that more than 200,000 people are without power in Mississippi.
The Dutch contingent has been in Mississippi for four days after arriving from conducting maneouvers near Aruba.
The Mexican troops arrived Friday and Saturday.
The international troops have also been helping clean schools in the area.
Mississippi officials have postponed the first day of school until mid-October.
