      The root problem I think is antagonizing others. When some politicians' and voters' rhetoric is always finding whatever chance/angle to insult mexico (or other group of people in general)... of course mexicans are going to dislike US and not tend to cooperate. If people can actually suppress their tribal tendency in insulting others, and instead just solve problem calmly and politely, a joint military action between US and Mexico to significantly reduce cartile activities can be a good thing. However, when rhetoric from both sides has no compassion and just try to antagonizing the other side, such intricate positive-sum collaboration is essentially impossible.

From going against the Sultan of Morocco, to invading the tiny island of Grenada, 1983. Well, this means that in our entire history, we have only had 17 years of peace, and even fewer, cuz here the almost 5 years of our Civil War (Union/Confed 1861‒1865), are Not counted, since this war was not with another country, but against us. The cartel situation in Mexico is undoubtedly bad and is in need of a fix. The US also has its own cartel problem with pharmaceutical companies creating opiate addicted zombies and dipping out when the heat got turned up. These addicted folks go on to find the drugs they crave on the street and the Mexican cartels are there to pick up where the pharmacists left off. The US is in no position to dictate how another country deals with a problem that it basically created.

    Just like how Ukraine has every right to defend their nation from Russian aggression, Mexico would be well within their rights to defend their nation from us. And frankly, even if we do launch a war campaign (one that we are in no position of doing anyways), we'd be extremely hypocritical and no better than what Russia is doing right now. It would Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan all over again: a waste of time, resources and potential soldiers and even civilians on both sides.
    What happened to those US citizens was tragic, but it happened on Mexican soil so it's their business. Besides, the Cartel already handed the ones who allegedly did it to us already, so the matter should be closed.

    • @arvaneret_329
      @arvaneret_329 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As a Mexican, I can confirm that drug cartels have been getting the upper hand more and more, as the problems of corruption, organized crime and violence have grown stronger. That's not to say we need U.S. troops on Mexican soil to solve the problem, since that would mean permanent military bases like the ones on Germany, South Korea and Japan. We need a good government here to take care of the situation, because we DO have the military resources to take care of the problem, sort of like Nayib Bukele did in his country with the gangs. But we also need the U.S. to cooperate as an ally and a good neighbor with us in order to really solve the situation, and that involves doing things like cracking down on American drug consumption and stopping the American Deep State from creating more problems, because there's evidence suggesting it has funded and armed cartels such as with Operation Fast and Furious. Why? Perhaps to create yet another boogeyman to use as a pretext for an invasion focused on geopolitical power and extraction of resources.
      By the way, if I was American, I'd possibly vote for Donald Trump as a conservative although I strongly disagree with his desire to send American troops to Mexico, given how simplistic, ignorant and abusive that strategy is.

    Im from Mexico, If it were a proposal for mutual collaboration between the mexican army and the USA army in special operations such as the capture or elimination of specific or common objectives, I would agree with this type of alliance, but what these politicians are proposing is basically an invasion. This will probably worsen the situation by turning Mexico into a much worse field of warfare than it currently is.

      its not even about cartels if they invade, Mexico will go to war with the US if they invade. The US invaded Mexico in the mid 1800s and stole what is now the western United States away from Mexico. Why would they allow this to happen again?

      Now, please check out these FACTS that are on the Web: "In 250 years of existence as a nation, the US has fought against 29 sovereign countries. (In Fact, since 1785, we have been involved, for 231 years, in some kind of war. And this wars, against all varieties of nations. And the wars against the Native Nations of America either are not counted, for the same reason). Anyway: We fought against 29 countries. We have "Grown" 711 the size of our territory from the original 13 colonies. Our Economic, Political and Military development was established thanks to the Piracy, the Slavery, the Massacres, the Opium Trade or Cocaine Traffic, and the Weakness of many abused sovereign nations. We have provoked with total impunity, 12 Genocides and 9 Massacres, ‒inside and outside our own borders‒, and Assassinations of Gov’t. Leaders, Coups d'État and Economic Blockades in 6 UN member nations. Between 1947 and 1989, the US tried to change other nations gov’ts 73 times. It includes 66 covert Ops. And 7 overt ones. In Civil Wars: The US has taken advantage of and intervened without justification in the following Civil Wars: In Marquesas Island. (Massacre. 1813). US Forces seize Nuku Hiva Island (French Polynesia 1813), and establish here «The First US Naval Base», in the Pacific. This historical fact is important, cuz in 1813, the US had NO Territorial Land nor Maritime Rights in the Pacific Ocean, until 1848, when the US seized California and other Mexican territories facing the Pacific. In Haiti. (1813 and 1901 and then 1915-1919-1934-2001). In the Philippines. (Genocide. 1898-1902. One Million people death). In Hawaii. (1889 and 1890-1893 and 1901). In Cuba. In reality. Mexico isn’t so badly as people or republicans think. They’re using all the violence as and excuse ti make my country look badly.
      The majority of military weapons are sent from the USA. To the cartels. Not the military. The people complaining and hating on the president don’t understand or think it’s worse than they think. They only read it see what the news stations want them ti hear or read. I’m pretty sure you understand how the news makes everything worse ir a political stunt.
      People need to understand and stop hating because thr cartels actually respect the president.
      That’s why he called out republicans to make sure they understood it’s his country and not the US.
      We finally found a real president that isn’t scared ti stand up fir his people.
      Just ignore everything people are writing because it’s all wrong.
      They don’t actually do their real research ti see how different this president has changed Mexico.

We can only invade if authorized by Mexican government. For example when Colombia accepted our help. Today they somewhat regret it.
