Yes, Mexico has violence, but also the US is violent. Every country has their own criminal problems, and considering that US and Mexico are territorial neighbors it has so much sense.

For all the ones who are following the stereotypes many people even confirm in the coments:
    1. In Mexico we don't classify races, we are all mexican.
    2. In Mexico the family is one of the most important thing and the "average mexican" would actually do anything for a family member.
    3. (This is actually for some mexicans) The northern territory that is now part of the USA was not conquered, it was SOLD by a president some generations ago, and it's frustrating to see how an idiot sold our land, but now it is part of USA, we respect that.
    4. Mexico is not full of drug dealers, drug dealers are also smart and will only give you trouble if you asked for it.
    5. We do not think bad things about people from the USA, (if you see one it is only butthurt). Most of us know only a small part of Americans are racist, xenophobic or just assholes. It is not the faut of all the county to pay for what some asshole said.
    6. We were taught to be kind and respectful to everyone, no matter what, and we are sorry if you meet someone that isn't like that.
    7. We don't go all around with hats and tacos, sombreros are more used for charros or mariachis, or a celebration like independence day.
But we know it is a stereotype and it is used in the video to identify easily mexicans, just like American stereotypes in the video.
(May be missing some, sorry for the wrong spelling, any doubts will be answered)
    :v

    1. Mexico doesn’t have a census for race but there is an official study by the CONAPO about the indigenous population which is 20% instead of 27%. Also mixed race doesn’t necessarily mean dark brown skin, there are white Mexicans that consider themselves mixed
    2. The way that Mexico measures poverty is one of the strictest in the world it’s what is known as multidimensional poverty, where if you are missing one thing, for instance internet, you are consider poor(I don’t think his “2015 report” of which he didn’t put the source in the video talks about that), which is not as bad as they show you in this video with that post apocalyptic image of the houses, and we also have to take in mind all those indigenous groups that still exist today who don’t want the same lifestyle of the modern Mexican.
    3. Talking about income between two countries, it’s important to mention purchasing power parity, because every country measures it’s per capita income with it’s own currency and it goes along with the total amount of price for goods, services, etc... of that specific country, that’s why his chart doesn’t really matters because all he is doing is converting money he doesn’t take account of the prices which are generally a lot cheaper in Mexico.
    4. I feel like it was unnecessary to talk about immigration.
    5. Is really fucking stupid that he uses a person wearing a suit to represent the US. and a person wearing a poncho and a big hat to represent Mexico
All in all just a shitty channel that cannot be taken seriously for its lack of information and sources.

FIRST. The official and more recent rate of poverty in Mexico is 43%, it's from 2016 (we update this statistic every 2 years so the next update will be in this 2018), poverty in Mexico has being slowly going down in the last years. Now, out of those 43%, 35.4% are in moderate poverty and 7.6% in extreme poverty.
SECOND, That 34% that you mentioned is the Argentina's poverty rate of 2016, not Mexico's.
THIRD, What defines poverty in Mexico??? well, that's an interesting question and it has a very COMPLEX answer, like the other guy said Mexico uses an strict methodology to measure an define poverty which is one of the strictest in the world since we use 8 different factors or dimensions to define who is poor and who is not.

Good video, though a few things to consider:
    1) You should've said how many Americans are illegal in Mexico (we know there are quite a lot of illegal retirees).
    2) While you did make a point about difference in salary I don't think it's all that fair to compare the richness in US dollars, as a matter of fact some things are way cheaper in Mexico than in the US.
Other than that it was pretty good and unbiased.

Isaac Detherage It is a legit problem since they don't pay taxes.

As young adults, my friends and I even partied at clubs in border cities - visited boys town once just for fun - and always had a blast! Now I can't even remember the last time I crossed the border into Mexico (must be 15 years now), but due to the cartel activity and the Government's incapacity to control them, I don't think I will ever travel to Mexico again, unfortunately.

the mestizo is not more brown, is slightly more white
in this survey the castizo is never included, the castizo is the result of a mestizo and a European, it is part of the old caste system
Many times, the castizo does not know where he is going, if he is white or mestizo (which is still mostly European, but still has a native part) and then he considers himself mestizo.
The castizo having children with a white person, their children are already white.
the castizo is whiter, his skin looks a little yellow and you could say he is white but he is not
And all this chaos was caused by Spaniards throughout Latin America 😂

And yes, I agree that several of the rulers were AWFUL, and of course with all that money and power, instead of the blind worship of God, of constructing universities, bringing health, culture and Catholicism to our colonies... We could have always done as the Brits or rest, just enslave, NEVER mix with the natives, exterminate them, not getting involved in inner continental wars (actually the 80 year war with The Netherlands and Belgium was so disastrous economically for us). That would have been cheaper. In any case, thanks for the flag compliment, and yeah, it kind of sucked what happened with Cuba, PR, Guam and the Philippines, but whatever lol

    • @Lukeplaysshuff
      @Lukeplaysshuff 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

"Spanish" in air quotes PIJUS because the Spanish territory that was obtained from Spain/Mexico, with the exception of Puerto Rico was mostly populated by Native Americans, and Florida/Texas had a large American population. The reason why America thought it would be a bad idea to conquer all of Mexico/Cuba was because they had too high of a Hispanic population, so America settled with the northern territories.
But I agree that Americans are not British mainly because modern day Americans/Canadians are mostly from German, Italian, Irish, and French ancestry, and most of the people of Hispanic ancestry are immigrants and not natives do to what I said in the previous paragraph.

I'm Japanese and some Korean. Although I am 52.7% white, I actually don't have a white ancestor until 8 generations up. And thus I classify myself as white even though I look Asian. So that 70 something percent of white people aren't actually all white, many minorities classify themselves as white. Like many Hispanics classify themselves as that b/c being Latino or Hispanic isn't really a considered a "race". Rather more as a mix of all other official ethnicities. Yes, it is a bit confusing.

The ones that look darker say that they had a “Cherokee Princess” ancestors. But not a lot of Native American DNA in them since they killed most of the Natives and put the few in reservation.

Here are some facts as well: Mexicans are Native American and some type of European. Spanish, French, Irish whatever .. still Europeans and native. Mexico was named after one tribe called the mexica. The Europeans called then Aztecs. Even Mexicans called the Azteca. Which is wrong. How you going to be Mexicans and let a European tell you how to say your peoples name? Hold onto that .. you already speak fluent Spanish which is a Europeans language. The X in Mexico is sounded like a “shhh” sound. So why do you pronounce it like a Spanish J? Like Jose or Javier! Hold onto the original CORRECT pronunciation. You already speak fluent Spanish keep something from your ancestors prior to European invasion. Also, not everyone born in Mexico is from Mexica! There the tohono o'odham, yaqaui, maya etc. so really if your are not born in Mexico you might not be Mexican or mexica .. you might be from a different tribe. So just like if the USA was named after the Cherokee and you weren’t Cherokee but was born in America ... are you Cherokee by Nationality or by blood? Also Mexicans pronounce the two SACRED things that represents their people the Europeans( Spanish) way. I’m talking about chocolate and the avocado. We need to start pronouncing it the correct way in Nahuatl. Don’t call someone who looks Mexicans or parents are from Mexico white washed because they don’t speak Spanish. Because in case you don’t know by now Spanish is a Europeans language!!!! Plus you probably don’t say Mexico, chocolate and avocado right! Most Mexicans don’t.. but I’m white washed lol every native in America is white washed ... Canada’s French speaking natives, America’s English speaking natives and South America’s Spanish speaking natives. The only difference is the natives from Canada and USA know their history. You won’t hear a Ojibwe from Canada tell a ojibwe from USA “you are white washed how come you don’t speak French”? But with all this said the melanin in your skin won’t allow you to be categorized as white. Even though Spanish, French and Irish can call them selves white. Once you add melanin high cheek bones you lose your white.. to all white ppl ... Mexicans speak white just not your white buts ok cuz you are going to Madrid for vacation and you will be around blue eyed white speaking Spanish ppl and you will love it.. it’s only when you come home and see native Americans speak it that you will say go back to your country lol
