Gas (remove old gas and use fresh high octane gas)
Spark Plug (no spark = no ignition): TBD
Carburetor (old gas can cause issues with starting and running mixes air and fuel):TBD
Starter Fluid (get around carburetor issues to get started): amzn.to/3JLkojh Valvoline was used, but just make sure it is ETHER in any starter fluid will work

Damn that's a lot of starting fluid😂
fr
That's why I'm too tired of starting lawnmower of my boss 😢
I Thought he decided to paint the mower before he started it!😅😅😅😅
Yea your not supposed to spray that much and even after your supposed to wipe down that area.
Just so you know you were spraying the starting fluid into the crankcase vent. The bottom hole is the intake. Thats why it took long ti start cause only a little dripped into the intake after you already was spraying it for a while.
which part is the intake??
@@gtarules1the top 😂
There you go until you burn threw the starting fluid and it stalls. Take the carburetor apart and clean it. 99% of the time the carb is the problem. Old gas sitting without use gums all the small passages up causing a no start. Good luck👍🏻
I agree, I found this in the trash. Once I ran new high octane gas through the carb and engine it started every time. If it did not start up easy the next time I would have cleaned the carburetor.
Had to get my lawn mower started for the first time this year...saw a can of gas in the garage and filled it up since it was empty, normally if its empty it takes 1 or 2 pulls max to start the mower...20 pulls later and nothing...then i realized the gas in that can is 1 year old...smh...next day I realized i had some marvel mystery oil leftover from my cars and figured if its good for fuel and crankcase then its gotta be good for old gas and i put a quarter of the bottle in the gas, closed the cap and shook the mower real good to get it to mix...1 pull and she started and runs like a top!
You used enough starting fluid to start my 6.4L V8.
I obviously was doing it wrong. I just sprayed starting fluid onto the carb or onto the side of the intake and then will try to start it instead of starting it while spring that’s a new one that I have to try.
It's like a crack head now it's gotta have the starter fluid all the time 😂
Thank you that made me laugh.
That's a diesel that does that! Burns up glow plugs!!
If you want to get rid of something that don't work , put a forsale sign on it and park it near the curb .

Awesome video!
Yeah dumping a little fuel into the carburetor works too
Yup 💯👍 old school works better.
Ouch.. I'm too tired of starting lawnmower of my boss 😢same like that very old huhu
Yeah it’s really works thanks ❤
Draining old gas replaceing air new plug new oil
High octane what 91? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
With those lawnmowers and the carburetor what I do is take a paper Bol I take off the airfilter then I tip it on its side till I see gas come out the hole then you put everything back together
😂😂😂
2 shots of vodka…
FYI high octane is deaden gas
That better not be by lawn mower at Florida
This is a PA mower addicted to ether.
Best if you remove the carb and clean it out real good. It’s bound to have deposits that’ll gunk up the works if it’s been sitting long…
The other comment is pretty stupid but the truth is that mower can't be less than 5 years old, pretty dang new.
Nah, I have one very similar and we’ve had it much longer
I have one it’s a 2017 and won’t go
Men r good👍
u did it backwards try starting fluid FIRST ! then u know the problem is fuel related immediately if it dznt wrk u then test spark
... 90+% of the mowers I've picked up are one of those 2
....
you dont want old gas running thru a mower
@@markrush5013 right but in the few SECONDS it takes to troubleshoot a fuel issue is of no concern .
WD40 also works like a charm
Trying to blow yourself up, you be ignorant for spraying that much starter fluid just a small squirt and move back a little and start it. If you keep doing it your way it may back fire and poof there all the hair goes maybe worse
You are definitely right it was a bit much.
Its Not a repair. Probably the mower stalled after the spray Was used up and you have to clean the carb anyway.
I have been using it for 2 years without any additional work. It probably had bad / old gas and I was lucky that the carb was not completely gummed up yet.
I'm sorry but did he just spray starting fluid into the breather hole
Where else would he spray it, into the spark plug hole? This is much quicker and easier!
@generalemailgeneralemail8369 you have to holes one for the carburetor and one for the breather hose
What kind of oil you use for that lawnmower?
4 cy cycle engine oil
What is the tool at the start
You mean the red thingy, that's a hand pump/siphon with 2 hoses, 1 on each end; 1 into the gas tank the other 1 into the catch reservoir.
The siphon hose? It has a bulb you squeeze and a one way valve. As you release the bulb, the valve classes and gas is pulled up the house and the force pushes the valve open on order to drain the tank.
Is this on petrol or desiel ?
petrol
