FINALLY someone finished the aria properly. It doesn't make ANY sense, dramatically speaking, to go from Low G to Middle C. People's ears ASK for a Low C after Low G. As for technique, I have several points to emphasize, but she is a young singer, she is still in development. time to develop a beautiful, solid voice. It's in the way. In the right hands (which is very hard to find nowadays, but it exists), this woman goes FAR!!! The mezzo/contralto version of today's Sayoa Hernández.
Me has sorprendido Guadalupe. A la altura de la grande interprete Ewa Podles. La has superado. Extraordinaria voz, timbre inigualable. Magnifica interpretación y actuación. Bravo.
Perdón, pero no supera a Podles. El cuerpo oscuro y parejo de la gran polaca se mantiene en todo su registro. Encuentro a Barrientos una gran intérprete, con agudos de mezzosoprano. Podles es difícil de superar.
Miss Barrientos is not a mezzo-soprano but a real Contralto. The role of Ulrica in UN BALLO IN MASCHERA is for a contralto , and Miss Barrientos is just incredible; not only had the notes needed for the role, but her phrasing is is perfect, plus the voice quality is extremely beautiful -in all registers. Congratulaciones !!!

Please bring more chest to the middle, this aria it's very hard and exposing, unfortunately it's very much amplified. A dirla in modo semplice, un mezzo soprano e un contralto con i fiocchi, e con una certa carica di simpatia, il che non guasta. Si ascolta sempre volentieri.
Ottimo contralto nel grave. Buon volume vocale di tessitura brunita. Un'estensione dal contralto fino a coprire tutta l'estensione tipica del mezzo soprano. Una bravissima artista e un'ottima esecuzione.
@@ilyasakhundzada6604 I agree. This is not a "free" sound. It is manufactured, a "held" sound. Obraztsova sound was freely produced and probably much bigger in the theater. This is a good voice and a good talent but not trained to be a great one.

Per una cantante moderna la pronuncia molto chiara, cmq.dovrei sentirla sul palcoscenico. I concorsi non mostrano il vero valore del cantante. Correlli, Ghiaurov, Herlea, Freni non erano famosi per vincire i competitizioni ma per quello che hanno fatto in teatro.

Voice is actually not developed enough. She should have more chestvoice mixed into her voice higher up in the middle voice. Yes good range but why sing notes that Verdi didn’t write? I’m sure he knew voices Better than this singer…

Absolutely a mezzo. Contralti have darker voices and a lower tessitura.
