I would not route the rear brake cable in through the frame. Do it around the front and then down the right side would be neater. My Ritchey is set up in this way. Just my 2p! Good luck with the build.
Liking your winter project. I've been thinking about whether I do this to a Genesis Fortitude ridged steel with a 3 inch front tyre 2.2 rear, drops will push its weirdness to another level of appeal 😁. Nice bike stand and grease pump, we must have shopped in the same places 😂. Oh the bike looks great can't wait to see your first ride.
I've always wanted to do this. Interested in what obstacles you have to overcome, aside from the storms.. and serial fiddling. Watch out for those new mini lakes. Target practice with those thick tyres!
i did the same project with my trek hardtail last winter, kept the 2.35 xc tires on it, but i have put it back to a mountain bike a few days back, "got to have something to fettle with" i adapted a clamp from a seat tube type chain guide to attach the dropper lever because the diameter of the drop bar top was to big for a normal dropper clamp.
I just think about future spring and summer rides during the winter.
Love this project!
Cheers, it's been a lot of fun. Ride video next
Looks neat, those bars look good.

You need to do it, we need to keep cycling weird 😆

Ah, good solution for the lever 👍
It is just like watching myself 😂
@GrahamFootBicycleLover Is this one of your bikes?
It 100% is 👍
And why on earth do you want to make a great off road bike into at best a mediocre bike
you have to replace the front suspension because everyone knows you can not have a suspension fork on a gravel bike LOL
Yeh you can. As long as the bike runs you can do whatever you want
