This is very satisfying to watch cause it shows a lot of issues I have with the bicycle industry. Josh is using the bike EXACTLY like what a bike is supposed to be used. Big manufacturers sell you a nicely marketed dream that their components are premium and better quality... so it would be logical to expect them to be more rugged! And then you learn the hard way, that "premium and better quality" only means "more performance for athletes on the road, in dry and warm conditions, with a team of mechanics and you as a user treating the bike like a raw egg".
Bbs and freehubs get all the attention! The pedals see the most dirt and moisture contamination. Pedals aren't throw away items until the high end models. Some are so easy to service, the spindles can stay on the cranks. Definitely a plus with carbon cranks.
Lovely to see Nic in his natural habitat. Have learned alot from his guest appearances on the wild ones podcast and always have tremendously appreciated his very deep knowledge based on passion and experience. Looking forward to more content coming from him!
No point unless the bike is filthy and in for a full rebuild. A 'quick wash' is one of the worst things you can do to a bike as the water flows dirt into the nooks and crannies, often leading to new creaks and clicks that weren't there when the customer gave you the bike.

How has he enjoyed the birzman truing stand? Thinking of getting one for the shop :)
Nic bought a drone for his bike build videos? :O That is mental :D
This was great!
I wish Nick lived in Epping.
What is nic’s channel mate, unless I’ve missed it?
I’ve added just added it to the video description. @NicVieriMechanic
Can you add the link to Nicks channel into the description? Or maybe pin it as top comment?
My bad. Yeah it’s now added in the video description.
why dont you wash the bike before the service...it takes you only 5 min for a qick wash :)
