Difficult. I think it's still 50 First Dates for me. I've been a massive Drew Barrymore fan for over 20 years now. 😅 Big Daddy is also really good. Also Happy Gilmore, Little Nicky and of course this one. Only thing, Sandler had a TERRIBLE German VA for this movie. He did a passable job, it just didn't fit at all....
I can confirm as someone who played Football in high school not that long ago that this movie and longest yard are quoted all the time on the field. It's crazy how many times we said water sucks and Gatorade on the field for no reason. Even happy Gilmore was quoted with are you too good for your home
Jerry Reed who plays the nasty coach is a great country singer and was fabulous in the film Smokey and the Bandit with Jackie Gleason, Burt Reynolds and Sally Field.
This is my most rewatched Adam Sandler movie. My brother in-law used to work at a video store and I watched the sample film every day for a month before it was released on video.
That Wrestlers name is (The Big Show) from the WWE, his real name is Paul White. He is 7 feet tall and 500lbs. He no longer wrestles or works for WWE, he is now working for another wrestling company. At the time of this (Waterboy) Movie in 1997, The Big Show aka Paul White was working for WWE's then competition WCW/World Championship Wrestling, as (The Giant) when he got this role in Waterboy.
Oscar winner Kathy Bates is a genius. She was on the Conan O’Brien show once and she said her Niece actually begged her to take the role after she found the water boy script in the trash can. So Bates did!! Kathy said it was the best fun she’s ever had on a movie set, and Her and Sandler have been friends ever since 😊
For me it's it's mr deeds. My wife and I are always quoting it to eachother: "My back hurts!" "I love NY!"-"NOBODY CARES!" "Shut the hell up...RICH BOY!" 😂
Yeah its either this or Billy Madison. But hell Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, & The Wedding Singer all have a ton also. He was on fire during that 5 year strech ... loved growing up during it. Then Little Nicky cooled him down.
Born and raised south Louisianian here, spent most of my life in the lafayette/Sunset/Duson area. I absolutely love the humor and antics of this movie. Not a single part of it is even remotely upsetting. Great representation
@14:46 Wow, I think that's the first time I've actually ever understood that guy in this movie lol. I'm pretty sure he's saying: "We live to play another day."
I’d love to see reactions to Sandler’s other 90s/early 2000s classics like Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Little Nicky, Big Daddy etc. Apologies if you’ve done some of them already. Also, the double V names of the love interest is a recurring theme
I think the main reason he wasn't his prominent male friend was because he's the kicker, so he's off doing sprints with the specialty team while the head coach was working with offense and defense which is where The water boy is. There friends in class though, even if we only see them in class the once.
Rob Schneider always appearing in these with his "you can do it!" Always kills me.😅 You should actually react to the Deuce Bigalow movies or Beverly Hillbillies if you can, too...
Dallas Cowboys Head Coach Jimmy Johnson,Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Bill Cowher,Dan Fouts,Brent Musberger, and Steelers Legend Wide Receiver Lynn Swann in the Championship Game. Don’t forget about Lee Corso and Chris Fowler in the Iowa Game from College Gameday on Saturdays
Y’all should watch the replacements now. See Keanu in a comedy. It’s pretty rare and it’s a very enjoyable movie. Also one of the last gene Hackman movies
This, wedding singer, and 50 first dates, and happy Gilmore are the only Adam Sandler movies worth watching. And, Jerry Reeds accent isn't an exaggeration.
Yea I think the friendship between the guy in the beginning and Bobby could have been explored more. Especially, the scene, where his transcript was forged. Also the scene where the town was outside the hospital. Could have been him that came forward to give a speech about sticking by one another when times are tough. It's quite interesting to see that the town actually believed that Bobby would be smart enough to forge his own transcript in the first place. It was nice to see Vicky stick by him through thick and thin. Her character seemed very selfless, willing to sacrifice her freedom for his. May not have been the best way of going about some situations, but exemplary.
The first guy who befriended him was shown throughout the movie though. He was with Bobby in the class when he tackled the professor. He’s also the kicker of the team when the coach was telling him to visualize something and attack. I’m not sure if he was the same guy who tackled the opposing team to get a loose ball so Bobby can intercept it. He was also the one who was reminiscing about Bobby in the locker room. LOL! So yeah he’s been shown a lot in the movie…I guess you guys didn’t notice him that much..😂
Fun Fact: Kathy Bates wasn't going to be in the film and threw the script away in the trash. It wasn't until her daughter or granddaughter told her who Adam Sandler was that she decided to go back and look at the script.
I'm guess this movie was released during Adam Sandler's golden days right? becuase looking back this along with most of his other movies close to this time were very good anyway Colonel Saunders was wrong and mama was right ok?
Bobby Boucher has the most incredibly epic "rage roar" I've EVER HEARD... Ever since I first saw the movie in theaters back in 1998, I'll never forget it. Adam Sandler just running at a football offensive line, just going ARRGGGUWWWAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGUUUU...
I think that Adam Sandler missed a golden opportunity to start his own bottled water company. "The Waterboy Bottled Water", tag line "Now that's high quality H2O!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That reaction was awesome, although you did miss one of the best parts. The squirrel for dessert! ❤😂😂😂
I do believe this is the movie that got me hooked on Adam Sandler comedy act. Tho even in this u realize he has potential for drama at the very least. Such an icon in his craft.
Vicki Valencourt is a great name and I love her lol. Tara has a pretty good voice when she started to harmonize that song halfway through the movie :s I was waiting for John to step in. :P This movie and Happy Gilmore are guilty pleasures of mine. Great Sandler movies from the era when it was fun to be stupid and stupid to be fun.
One of my favorite football movies are water boy, and the replacements ya'll should react to replacements next it's a wild ride!! So good with soo many great actors
Just got to this reaction of yours and I could not wait to see Tara's reaction to her intro song Ring My Bell. It took a second to catch it, but it was well worth it ❤....

Hotel Transylvania
Oh, and Anger Management. I recognize a lot of the actors from that one. And Jack Nicholson was EPIC in that movie....
Is there a Reel Reject scrunchie?
Now this is what I call a high quality movie reaction!
It’s because they didn’t hold anything back.
@@DavidRomigJr mike was referencing the movie 😪
So was I. :)
@@DavidRomigJr fuck.
It's pure... it's clean... it's crisp...
Mmm: that's what I call high-quality put-neah C6H7O2(ONO2)3 reaction.

I'm a professional Martial artists. . . And I too, find it difficult to remember just how many times Ive quoted this movie.
"SUCK MY WHITE ASS, BALL!!!"
@@Strider91 Adam Sandler movies was full of one liner. The one I used most often was "I aint got no ball" from Mr Deeds
Mama said mama said mama said yess yess coach always has me cracking up 😭🤣
I literally just do it randomly sitting on the couch lol
Wish John A Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday
Happy Birthday John!!
Happy Birthday John!
Happy birthday John!🎉😊
Happy birth day
"1998! Thats old!" That hurt. I saw this movie in theaters. We were just impressed that it was a talky.
Jerry Reed who plays the nasty coach is a great country singer and was fabulous in the film Smokey and the Bandit with Jackie Gleason, Burt Reynolds and Sally Field.
Kathy Bates is just sooooo good. she's always a joy to watch her work
This is my most rewatched Adam Sandler movie. My brother in-law used to work at a video store and I watched the sample film every day for a month before it was released on video.
The sound “Colonel Sanders” makes after getting clocked in the head cracks me up every time!😂
25:48 is a Reel Rejects golden moment of this channel. Definitely should be cut and catalogued. Amazing moment.
I don’t get it what happened
Yessss

Look up coach O interviews. He talks exactly like that
I'm so jealous that you guys get to watch this for the first time

@@felix3033I trust the Reel Rejects and Blind Wave, they seem the most genuine to me.
u also watched it for the first time 🤦♂

Oh, that's so lovely that they became friends after that.
This is probably Adam Sandler’s most quotable movie in his career
👍👍💯💯💯💯

A really cool swamp / lake is the Dead Lakes in Wewahitchka, Florida.
Tara is great. I’d love to see her and Roxy do a reaction!
To answer your question. Yes, this movie was the first "You can Do It" guy to appear.

eight crazy nights would be amazing to see them react to
One of my favorite movies of all time🔥
I love this movie!! Adam is AWESOME! I met him once, and he really is a nice guy. I will always be a fan.
Happy Birthday John- MORE TARAAA ❤❤❤
“Look who’s on TV, mama. The devil.”
Best line of the movie to me is still "Who dat? Who der?"

i remember always watching this movie with my dad when it playing on our tv!! so i’m glad you guys are watching it!
At 30:10 that's Ron Howards brother😅😂 Jimmy Johnson amd Bill Cohwer were the coaches you were stumped on❤
The “you can do it”def started here
Happy Birthday John!, Adam Sandler was so great in this movie! 👍
That’s a classic I can’t believe this is your first time John watching this beautiful gem

The Happiest of birthdays to you John! Keep up the great work you two and as always thank you for reminding us to RING THAT BEEEELLLL!!!

The Hot Chick😏. 😌 Yes.
Benchwarmers was kinda funny too duece Bigelow is hilarious
You don't have to do the 2nd Deuce Bigalow movie, but the first one is pretty funny
@@seungminmakesmestay I liked them both. The second one was just even more ridiculous and some of the TJ scenes were just comedy gold. 🤣
My favorite where they switch roles is the Hot Chick. Where Adam Sandlers like “ you can put your weed in there” 🤣
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN.... extra thankyou for doing one of my favorites Waterboy...looooooove the reaction as always!!!!!!
