I really feel Adam Sandler is horribly underrated. His comedy isn't everyone's cup of tea for sure, but I don't think I've ever seen a movie of his that I didn't love.
I love this frigging movie so much. I was stuck in a hotel room in Jamiaca with my divorcing parents who hated each other, but we got one channel and Big Daddy was on. Two hours later, all 3 of us were crying laughing. Sandler needs more credit for healing with humor.

The scene of Julian being taken by the state destroys me every time. The heavy breathing starts when sonny is packing the bag and the tears come streaming when their hands are pulled apart. 💔💔 Honestly one of Sandler’s best performances.

I love this movie. One of Adam’s more subdued comedies. Because most of the characters are somewhat normal, Steve Buscemi being goofy in the court room scene was hilarious.

I've always loved this movie. Couldn't watch it for awhile though cause me and my exwife was freshly separated and it made me miss my son, who looked a lot like Julian at the time. I would bawl like a baby towards the end every time.
It is interesting to see Jon Stewart in an acting role from a movie. He also starred in Death to Smoochy, an entirely unknown film I imagine virtually no one knows of. I’m one of the few who saw this ages ago.

One time I was shopping in a dollar store with my kids. One of them had to use the bathroom. I asked an employee if he could use their bathroom but they refused us. I took him outside to pee on the side of their building. Every time I see that scene in Big Daddy I think about that time with my son.
I remember my ma taking me and my sister to this movie in the theater, I was 8 she was 10..and we laughed till we cried, now that ma has passed, it’s one of my fondest memories.
I always forget about Big Daddy when I try and think of my favourite Adam Sandler movie! This one is so cute, has all the feels. My faves are the Wedding Singer and Happy Gilmore (and Bedtime Stories but that’s from the 00’s)

You know, I’ve seen this several times since it came out, and I never really thought about it, but the scene where they both pee on the restaurant door was always kinda funny/kinda cute, but in reality, you have a grown man with a “technically kidnapped” child, in public, both have their genitals out on the sidewalk … his character was lucky not to be arrested and put in jail as a chomo 😂
The 24:43 mark made me tear up a bit. The character, Sunny, is a great parent in my opinion. He's a bit 'out there' but cares about Julien, even in the beginning. May not be the right way, but Julien sees him as dad. Plays a great role as protection. Adam Sandler was an amazing pick for this as he genuinely cares for friends, family, and fans.

Adam really doesn’t get enough credits for his dramatic moments in cinema. Sometimes those “comedic” actors are titans when it comes to dramas.
Definitely even the films like Big Daddy which is a comedy shows some of his dramatic abilities

This was the FIRST Adam Sandler movie I ever remember seeing as a kid. It really will always hold a special place in my heart. Such a great movie.
