Hi thanks for another great vlog. We have the same issues with our 2 cats on the boat even after 10 years living aboard we always put their needs first when mooring.
If I ever visit England, I got to head straight to the canal locks and give it a go. Don’t worry, I wouldn’t just stand around and watch people work.
Hi Phil, brings back memories from Sept.2018. Hoping to get back sometime next year. We're from B.C. Canada. We spent a week on the canal from Festival Park to Penkridge.
Curious. Who is "responsible" for seeing those weeping willows are cut/trimmed? The landowners? CRT? What in the world would you do/have done, if your cats don't return? I'd be so afraid something would happen to them. Travel safe out there. Nice film, as always.
If the cats don't come back, I stay there until they do.

He was probably just checking whether the boat was occupied? I gave him a mug of water. He thanked me and left.
What is the max speed of the Narrowboat, if there wasnt a speed limit on the canals.
Impossible to say, every boat is different.
Great video. We are going to rent a boat at Stoke On Trent in August. Any particular route you recommend?
Head north through Harecastle tunnel, then go onto the Macclesfield canal.
