  • Day in the life of a plumber from a plumber’s Point of view! Yes we are back with the chest cam showing you what it’s like to be a plumber as we change a radiator and replace some valves. See how we do each task with BOTH hands, giving you a better perspective of how jobs go in this day in the life of a plumber
    In this weeks episode the customer has got in touch to replace a radiator when there new radiator cover wouldn’t fit, also they wanted a few radiator valves changing. Now this wasn’t without its complications and I will admit it was mainly through me being on auto pilot and not fully thinking the job through but we overcome the problems and get the job done
    Hopefully there some information in there that will help you out and any questions just drop them in the comments as always

    some advice for dealing with smoke alarms, try a shower cap, they cover them and will stop them going off as much with just a torch flame, just make sure to take the cap off after though so the customer is protected, and its easier to remember a cap than a to reconnect them, plus most customers can deal with removal alone if you do forget.

    Watching the video I was thinking, I wouldn't it like that, I would do this etc, but 'i can not help but respect the professionalism, not your fault I know but the TRV is useless inside the RAD cover, and it might not make much difference but I was always taught, never cut 10mm with pipe cutters, you reduce the bore to 8mm or less with multiple cuts, but huge respect mate and well done for sorting. No Hate.

    Nothing wrong with what you've done in the slightest, but In my view this customer did everything in the wrong order. If you're making a custom radiator cover, you don't make a cover first, then try to get a radiator to fit it ! You fit the radiator, then make the cover to fit the radiator. Talk about making your job harder than it needed to be because their approach was illogical.

    • @bluebulldog_uk

    Why do you use a pipe slicer on 10 mm, it makes the inside circumference so small that it is not 10 mm, should use a hacksaw, so you don't reduce the amount of heat that can pass through 10 mm pipework, it reduces the heat load by 20%, plus more chance of blockage in the pipework, this isn't that great video.

    • @bluebulldog_uk
      @bluebulldog_uk  หลายเดือนก่อน +3
