- Day in the life of a plumber
In todays episode I start a first fix on a small extension. I run the heating pipes in for the radiators, look at where I can pick the hot and cold water pipes up from, and have a look at the waste pipe and soil connections
As always, thanks so much for watching, all the support is so greatly appreciated

Hi Tom, it’s always interesting setting out and running in the first fix pipework.
When you get the pipework in the job starts to come together and makes more sense.
It appears to be coming along nicely for you now, I look forward to the next episode.
Have a great week Tom and take care mate. 👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Chris, hopefully this job should be alright, it takes a bit of sorting at the start but once you get control of the job there not to bad

What a job Tom, one of those that folk think will be easy, they don’t know the half of it do they, look forward to seeing how the rest goes, you’ll sort it 🚽👍👍

Good bit of graft there tom. Some people dont realise the struggle. 👍👍.
It can be hard work at times, thanks for watching as always mate 👍
First fix makes or breaks the job sometimes. The enjoyment comes when the toilet slides in pukka on the second fix. That said I do enjoy a good first fix, get the music on and crack on. 💪
Thanks for the support as always Tom, the best feeling in the world when everything fits on the second fix
Another good video Tom, I did like doing the first fixing when I was on the building site, back in the day we called it roughing in. It would be good if you could do a wee video showing how you go about planing a job from the drawing and how you would work out what pipes goes where. I'm sure a lot of the young apprentices would like to see a video like that as the drawings can confuse some of them.
Thanks for the support as always mate, I can certainly do a video in the future working from a drawing
Bloody good show Tom
Thanks for the support Andy, glad you enjoyed

Hey Tom how do you find MKM for your plumbing supplies, they’ve just opened a brand new one close to me in Cardiff ?
At the minute they are giving me the best prices locally, I've used them for a couple of years now, I do price check and they generally come out cheapest, thanks for watching 👍
