If intake has vastly different geometry from stock, providing faster or slower moving air, incorrect afr can result, then also engine damage over time, even with slight different afr from optimal, over 50,000 miles, can cause damage. Tune is needed for all modifications.
@@phill4337 On many cars I would agree. However the b58 is speed density tuned and the DME will automatically adjust for differences in air flow. Search for "b58 speed density" on google and check out the 4 part article from mishimoto for an overview.

No you don't. These cars don't have MAF sensors and aren't sensitive to intakes at all. The sensor in the intake is just a temperature probe.
