Join me at Camp Xbox as I revisit the often-overlooked Batman games released on the original Xbox. From the cartoon-inspired action of Batman: Vengeance to the cinematic adventure of Batman Begins, we'll examine these games' strengths and weaknesses and how they hold up today.

When I see a game in comic book universe it makes me miss Kevin Conroy so much. He was perfect in Arkham games and Vengeance. I got a voice acting background and have to say that his voice has been such an inspiration for me since the Batman the Animated Series. The vocal training was really tough, sometimes without noticeable results for months but actors like him are a great impulse to not give up - I was almost a face for Leon in those new RE games :)

I like to think that Rocksteady took inspiration from the Begins game in order to create Asylum's combat and stealth system

It's very interesting that you showcased all of these old Xbox "Batman" games, as I recently obtained all 4 of them & some of the strategy guides too. Now, I'm quite anxious to experience all of them, especially "Batman Begins" which was the first one in the series I bought.
Excellent game Batman begins. Especially as movie licenced game.
I love collecting strategy guides, but I don't have any for these games. I bet those Batman guides look really nice!

Played Batman Begins on a backwards compatible PS3 back in the day. I remember it looked and played pretty good, considering that it was a previous gen game. I did finish it, and while I enjoyed it, I wouldn't run out and start recommending it to everyone but I think any batman fan should give it a try.

I don’t have my Xbox at my dorm right now, but Begins seems worthy to get for my slim PS2. The lighting just looks amazing for a multiplat even there, almost like they were trying to imitate Splinter Cell’s visuals on less capable hardware.
Definitely give it a shot it's worth the time!
I remember Batman Begins getting mediocre reviews, and I generally heard that it wasn't great, but the graphics always impressed me, at least from the screenshots I saw.
Figures that it'd be made by Eurocom, as they almost always turned out good-looking games!
I remembered renting Batman Begins and enjoying it, so I picked it up when I saw it cheap.
The disc never worked, but I kept it on my shelf to look at. Recently I managed to find a copy for $1 at an op shop and absolutely loved it.
I smashed through it quickly and intend on going back to it after a while to play it again as Adam West Batman.

Have you done reviews for PAL or JP games? What would i need to do to play them on my NA xbox?
No reviews of JP or PAL games yet, but a softmodded Xbox should be able to play them.

No I haven't, but I love theme park sims. I really want to cover it at some point.

I've been trying to find batman begins on Xbox Store digital it's not on there.
Unfortunately it's not backwards compatible.
I think it's so funny that they put all this effort and money into the Batman Begins game, getting the actors from the movie and exclusive feedback from the studio only to end up being clunky and mediocre.

Dark Tomorrow is objectively a terrible game. Absolutely awful. But as someone who bought it as a kid just because it was Batman, I love it. Hated it then, but since I spent money on it I powered through. I have played it so many times over the years that I'm used to the terrible controls and camera. The cutscenes were mind blowing at the time. Lot of nostalgia for such a dismal product.
When you were young sometimes you had to make the best with what you had.
Say what you want about Dark Tomorrow, Fortnite makes it look like Sons of Liberty!
Terra Strong is not voicing Harley in this game, nor is she the definitive voice of the character. Just saying 🤷🏽♂️
Tara voices Barbara Gordon in these games since she voiced her in the animated series.
