Gun shared the same marketing campaign as Tony Hawks American Wasteland at the time with both: saying "Go anywhere", "No loading", "No invisible walls, complete freedom". lmao
Played Red Dead Revolver not too long ago and yes, while it’s not as good as the Redemption sequels, it has it’s own arcade charm to it and it doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. I thoroughly enjoyed playing it!
Dead Man's Hand reminds me a lot like Call Of Juarez: Gunslinger. I guess they took inspiration from this game. Plus I've played Dark Watch, and seeing it brings nostalgia for me. I even finished that game twice doing good and bad endings. Sad it never got a sequel.
Growing up I never liked westerns, until I played GUN several years ago, then I got it. The game just nails the western vibes and is a pleasure to roam around in. I wish it was a bit longer, the world a bit bigger; but for what it is, it absolutely worked to break through my previous biases and let me enjoy the setting.
Another great video. I really need to play Darkwatch. I remember as a kid, my older brothers friend brought it over, and they wouldn’t let me play lol.
Hi mate. I just played Darkwatch and Dead Mans Hand recently on Xbox and I was blown away at the frame rate of Darkwatch for an FPS on original Xbox. What an amazing game too. I love the look of it as it just oozes cool atmosphere. Dead man’s hand is cool too but very jerky moving the camera left to right unfortunately.
Darkwatch was my childhood obsession. I had my eye on it, ever since I saw screenshots of it in a game informer magazine. What a classic. I loved the horror/vampire aspect to it mixed with a western. It absolutely deserves a remaster today. Whoever owns the rights, make it happen.
Westerns, whether they're games, movies or comics are Just Plain BADASS! They harken back to a time when MEN WERE MEN, something that's sorely lacking in today's pansy ass era. And Yes, Darkwatch is an Absolute GEM!
@@diggadirt393 Cannot answer that question mate, I always thought it was a wierd move aswell when i found out since the co-op mode on ps2 was dope back in the day, great memories with that one
Darkwatch, in my opinion, is the best game in this video. Not even that, its probably one of the best games in its entire generation. Its seriously good and it NEEDS either a modern remaster and/or a sequel. Even so, I still have a soft spot for Dead Mans Hand. Its not a great game, but I love the charm it oozes out. Its the same feelings I have when I watch a B-tier western movie like Young Guns, An American Tail Fievel Goes West or perhaps Tombstone.
The 360 version of Gun is the overall best with the OG xbox coming in a close second visually. The PC version is missing all sorts of textures. weird port.
Somebody could help me please, I’m looking for a special game style western, with clowns, trains but I don’t remember the name :( it’s and old classic Xbox game! Need to found it
The only one of these that I have played so far is Red Dead Revolver. I really do love that game. However, got to be honest I am not a fan of open world games.
I absolutely love first person shooters. Even some awful ones. But I remember playing Dead Man’s Hand and straight up just throwing it away when I was done with it. I hated that game so bad
Gun is so underrated, deserved a sequel.
I actually just replayed Red Dead Revolver a weeks ago. Game still holds up! I love the spaghetti western vibe.
Gun will always be one of my favorite westerns it's so freaking good
Gun shared the same marketing campaign as Tony Hawks American Wasteland at the time with both: saying "Go anywhere", "No loading", "No invisible walls, complete freedom". lmao
yes. Same developer/publisher
Darkwatch getting reviewed as an instant buried treasure was sad but true. I wanted it to be popular.
They planned on doing a movie and everything, but unfortunately, it went nowhere.
Thank you for making original Xbox content. Ima use your videos to buy games when my original Xbox gets here.
Glad you enjoy the videos! You'll get to play some excellent treasures on your Xbox!

FunFact: GUN was hardly censored in Germany.
Red Dead Revolver and Gun good games
Darkwatch, the game some of us remember fondly or some of us didn't know it existed.
Oh yeah, I can see Gunslinger getting some inspiration from Dead Man's Hand.
Gun is amazing making me wanna play it gonna boot up my pa3 play it tonight

Give Darkwatch a try, it’s got a lot of novel take on the Western Genre.
Western games are awesome. I’ll have to pick up Gun and Darkwatch, as I wasn’t familiar with them. Keep up the great videos!
Thanks for the support!
Another great video. I really need to play Darkwatch. I remember as a kid, my older brothers friend brought it over, and they wouldn’t let me play lol.
Thanks so much for the video! I played Strangers Wrath as a kid and really enjoyed it. I think you've inspired me to finally finish it :D
Gun is an absolutely perfect game, good video. Playing thru oddworld for the second time (first time since 2006) it's an awesome game
15:33 that chick running into your line of fire had me dying laughing.
Gun's my favorite western game. I played it a ton on the PS2, and was happy I could get it again for the 360.
The jump from ps2 to 360 is drastic too.
Strangers wrath is my favorite western and og xbox game

Dead man’s hand is cool too but very jerky moving the camera left to right unfortunately.
The Xbox 360 also had some Western themed games. Maybe you could do a video on that topic also?
Yeah that would be fun. I could talk about all of the Call of Juarez games!

Evil West has similar kind of theme on it. It's on Game Pass at the moment
Darkwatch is an amazing game.
Gun was great.
The other 3 I never played
Great video. I haven't spent time with a western themed game since Call of Juarez.
Dead Man's Hand slaps, I really love that game. You don't need to rely on Insignia for the multiplayer, works just fine on XLink.
Dark watch runs great on the xbox, such fun ragdoll physics too. kept my copy : D
We need gun on XSX and Microsoft needs someone to make a Gun 2.🙏
Well. This topic hits me right in the face of my favorite interests.
Hell yeah! Westerns are often slept on.
@@campxboxMy fingers are crossed you might revisit at least one of these games with a more in-depth review later on.
@@zackeryparkerson@zackeryparkerson Oh yeah, I want to give every Xbox title the spotlight with a long-form review.
Darkwatch is great.
I wanna see High Moon get Darkwatch a remaster, honestly the multiplayer in that was fun too!
I had Darkwatch for Xbox years ago. Awesome game. Wish they'd make it backwards compatible so I could play it again.
I can recommend Weird West on the Series S/X though u might like it ^^ Also do i hear something of the Wild Arms Soundtrack in the Background?
Yeah, I've played a little Weird West and liked it! I need to get back into it.
Also, yes, you are right! One of my favorite soundtracks.

For anyone interested you can get strangers wrath on the switch
I'll be the first person to say I like red dead revolver way more then redemption 1&2
One other person on the planet has this opinion. Although I don't know why
@xman777b I prefer gameplay over things like graphics the and the gameplay in RdR is really bad imo
you are awesome, these are some of my fave childhood games🔥
Thanks! It's awesome that we both played awesome games in our childhoods.
Darkwatch needs a remake so badly. It is so unique. The multiplayer was also fantastic
You can play the multiplayer again through insignia! There are matches/events every other weekend
It also had campaign co-op!
@@diggadirt393 Only on the PS2 version, although with some modding you can also get the co-op running on xbox
@theTF2sniper oh really? I wonder why xbox didn't have co-op🤔

I'd love to see Darkwatch get a remaster. It would have been cool to get the sequel they planned on doing.
Dark watch and Stranger’s Wrath are neck and neck for me.

Also wondering, does the xbox360 version of Gun play on the series x? I have it for og xbox but it doesn't play.
Unfortunately it does not.
Dang man, they really dropped the ball not bringing that one to the modern day

Playing Gun right now. Way better than Red Dead 2.
no it's not. And I bought Gun the week it originally released
Gun is a fantastic game but is no where near how good Red Dead 2 is
@@hackermangage1703 agree. 100%
Because your in the Nostalgia place
Gun is good but far, far, far, far from being anywhere near as good as Red Dead 2.
Pet peeve: Pronouncing Genre as "JOHN-RA" it's pronounced "Zhan-RA"!!
GUN IS FUCKIN GOATED
