I've recently moved across country to the south from the west coast, and being far away from everyone and everything I know. I've practiced romanticizing my life for a while, just enjoying every moment, but there is something about living alone, decorating my own space, it's just a wonderful feeling. This series of yours is so satisfying to watch. I love it, don't stop anytime soon
I'm so confused by the doctors in the USA. The symptoms you described are consistent with endometriosis. It's a condition in which the inner lining of the womb (the part that sheds and is passed out as blood during our period) grows on areas outside the womb. It can grow on the intestines, the ovaries and some people even find endometrial tissue growing on their heart and lungs. So when your period occurs, those areas also bleed and shed but there's no place for them to exit through so they can form scar tissue and adhesions which adds to the pain, and depending on where the tissue grows, can hinder fertility (this isn't common though). However, endo cannot be diagnosed via ultrasound, the only method of diagnosis is a laparoscopy (a minor abdominal surgery done where they make small cuts and insert cameras to see what's going on inside). The tissue can then be removed surgically, depending on the degree of infiltration and the skill of the surgeon. But they can grow back, and it's not known what actually causes endo. I'm a doctor in a third world country and I suffer from endometriosis. But it seems like in the USA, doctors are reluctant to entertain that diagnosis for some reason. I always see women complaining about taking years to receive diagnosis and treatment despite enduring chronic, life-altering pain. It's so odd bc y'all are supposed to have one of the most advanced health care systems in the WORLD. Ps- the symptoms can also be attributed to hormonal imbalance, so if you haven't already, you should get your hormone levels checked!
So true. What Amani describes sounds like it could very well be endo. Ultrasound scans won't see it. I suffered with horrible pain due to endometriosis for nearly a decade. I had an endoscopy, colonoscopy, MRI, ultrasounds and countless other lab work done. It wasn't until I sought out a Black woman gynecologist earlier this year that I finally got a diagnosis. I told many doctors before that I thought it was endo but they all tried to convince me that painful periods were normal, despite all of the other symptoms. It's a shame that our pain is not taken seriously and that there isn't more research done on endo. So many women are suffering in silence.
My doctor found some endo tissue during my laparoscopic myomectomy. I had that and 8 fibroids removed. No more scented body washes or scented lotions for me. Fragrance free has been a game changer.
Everything about you I really like. Your style, your hair, your decor, your glassware and your taste buds 😊. Really enjoyed this Sunday upload. Take care see you next Sunday.
Whew this title was needed for me. As someone who still lives at home with my parents as the now eldest in the house I feel like I lways out everyone's needs above my own. Trying to make sure I still help out alot but I'm putting myself on the back burner.
Hey honey bunches hi 👋🏽 it’s been my pleasure to always come back and be a part of the video. I’m extremely proud of you for keep pushing through give us all something to get through life. Thank you for sharing another beautiful home alone diaries always, Linda💙♍️.👩🏽🏡👍🏾❤️😍pushin through as well your honey bunches to 😊😊
The thing I love about your channel is how realistic these videos are. Some of these TH-camrs are too Commercialize, it’s Obvious it’s staged. I feel like we are best friends when I watch your videos 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I also dealt with bad period pain. I gave up diary and i limit meat as i get closer to my cycle. I drink red raspberry tea during and leading up to my period. This has made a huge difference for me.
We sound so similar. I had the same issues, cut out the added sugar and dairy if you consume. Use pure monk fruit for your matcha to sweeten and start taking a probiotic daily. These few things were a game changer. Also get a squatty potty. My cycle and bowel has been normal since 2018, thank me later. I use to buy all the teas and pills trying to find a solution but what I needed was to cut things out.
Hey Amani, flaxseed, powder that you put on the yogurt really made a difference for me, less gluten, pasta, bread, rice. Higher on brocolis. Tumeric, carrot, ginger juice several times a week too
Amani giiiiiirl!!! Your vlog is amazing!!! ❤😊 beautifully shot and edited. I love how you are self aware you are and actually 'picking yourself up',very proud of you.
I had a long weekend off, so I booked a bus trip to Nairobi this weekend. I was there for 4 days. Nairobi was fabulous and YES, we must make time for ourselves everyday. Even if its just taking a walk or turning on your music and dance in the shower befor your day starts.
I mentioned this b4....I know its ol skool but pleaseeeee try taking 2 tablespoons of Milk of Magnesia BEFORE bed will help immediately. No cramps, pain etc. It will start to regulate ur movements and bye bye tummy bloating. 🤗 The wand curls are 🔥.
Hey Amani. Love your videos. You have such a great eye for detail that keeps me coming back every time. 📢Unsolicited advice coming through 📢 when washing your hair with shampoo, section your hair and put it in twists so that it is easier to access your scalp since shampoo is meant for the scalp only. It helped me so much when I started to do this
I’ve been having the same breakouts and realized it’s from my gel/edge control. The acne is right around the skin along my hairline. I tried changing out skin care products, make up etc. All along it was my curly hair gel like products. 😑 I workout a lot and I think the sweat was moving the products onto my face and clogging my pores. Might be something to consider!
Girl, your hair is on 10!!!! You're super brave to do that style in this southern heat & humidity! I also have a Nama J2 I bought in 2022 and yes, it's been a game changer! I work in a middle school and drink 8 oz of juice most mornings. I did not get one iota of sickness all year--for the first time in my 20 years of being an educator! I've never juiced lemon peels. I'm going to try that with my next batch. Thanks for another great, well-edited video!
Girl I have been here waiting for an upload from you for a month. Going through my subscriptions like a mad women come to find out TH-cam isn’t showing me your new uploads 😮. I’m annoyed but yet so excited to binge! 😂🤪🙌🏾. Love the content sis 🫶🏾
I had HORRIBLE menstrual cycles too with all that you described except for losing consciousness. It ended up being endometriosis which can not be picked up via scans, only via laparoscopic surgery. It's an outpatient surgery with mild recovery. Endo suchs but now i can properly treat what I have. Maybe bring this up to your GYN.
Yes girl keep us posted on how that works for your menstrual cycle. I hope you get a lot of relief. Love your hair by the way. How’s the NYC Apt hunt going? Chile the rent out here in nyc is crazy.
I drink half gallon of water with lemon slices. Also taking hair, skin, nails supplement. I know you don’t need help with your hair but it works for skin acne. The key is drinking at least 8 glasses of water. Lemon is the perfect detox and it’s known to clear any skin issues. Minimize sugar intake it irritates acne
For facial health try carrot juice and make a mask of mango fruit. Use the meat of the mango and rub the remainder of the fruit in your hair for conditioner. Try to get organic mango.
I love the music in your videos guuuurlll… your attitude and style like wow!!! Could you please do a vid regarding your work (what are your daily tasks , how much earns someone working independently like you)? Luv from Sweden ❤
Love the natural hair style. Im laughing over here because blow drying your hair is alot of work, 😂, Love the fact that you are trying new healthy things, it makes a difference, in every area of tour life. Stay stong💜💜
Hope you feel better soon and find the solution to your cycle. I put those Justin chocolate cups in my grocery cart. I love that drink! I really like matcha and would like to drink it regularly. If you can post details on that and the lavender honey, please!🙏🏽🤍
I really enjoyed this video todayyyy ☺️... it was cute, fun and all the lil vibes I needed. Side note: Might try this matcha drink but all them lemon peels had me like 😮😩 😅😂
Edge control and other hair products could be breaking your face out. Many of my clients, including myself, have allergic reactions to edge control. It can cause acne, burn the skin, and cause rashes. Remember what you put in your hair will travel to your face.

wait.... the poop part.... so you aren't pooping every day/ after a few hrs after every meal? I find that so interesting. Docs will say you're too young to have a colonoscopy (and health insurance won't cover it before a certain age). But have you been to a holistic colonic kind of place to help figure out some things? Also, do you juice dark leafy greens (tuscan kale, swiss chard, spinach etc)

Definitely heard that works
I always try to eat as many raw fruits and veggies before my period (ideally the week before) absolutely no meat or dairy. Thank me later 🥰✨
