- i'm so excited for this chapter of my life. truly claiming this as my redemption year. if nothing else, i hope this inspires you to finally say yes to the very thing your hearts desired from the very beginning. from NYC, to LA, to Atlanta and now back to NYC, the biggest lesson i've learned is that sometimes on your path you'll take a detour.
there's nothing wrong with that. as human experiencing this life it's normal to feel things like fear, self-doubt, lack of self-confidence and self-suffering. but only you know when enough is enough. only you'll know when the vision for yourself is so crystal clear that every choice you begin to make one day will put your right back on the path you were on.
the path of chasing your dreams. the path of pure joy. the path made just for *you*.

As an older black woman (53), I wish that more ladies in my age group would show more love to our younger sisters that are not settling as many of us did. I don't care if we never meet in real life, Amani. Please know that I am so proud of you. Time passes so fast although it may not seem like it when we are in are 20s. It passes too fast to stay in a place, job or relationship where you are not growing. I have so many regrets that I am working through in spiritual counseling because I stayed too long. However, it heals the young lady still inside of me when I see you doing the dang thang on your own terms. YAS!

As a 51 year old woman, well said. It’s funny how when we are younger, we were just living and doing our thing and time flew by and we wake up in our 50s….if we could go back, we may think about the things we would do differently but those life experiences shaped us….gave us wisdom. May this chapter be our best chapters yet!!!!! The young ladies are really out here being unapologetically themselves and I freaking LOVE IT!!!!
