Hello Doc! I I have been suffering from hairloss since my 20's . I lost most of the hair on top of my head consulter many doctors , all prescribed same medicine nothing worked for me. Kept loosing hair finaly decided to go for non surgical hair transplant. Wors phase started when i started loosing side hair also so badly that my donor area became so week. I started having thin hair on side and lately started loosing them as well. No one literaly no one discussed the inflammation issue till i saw ur video and now i think that could be the reason . I have included anti inflammatory food in my diet. And stopped using nicotine patches. Will update if i see the results. Ur videos gave a new perspective the way we look to hairloss issue and for that i am grateful! God bless 🙏
Excellent thanks! I’ve been dealing with random hairloss throughout my life. Once it was low iron but the last few years it has been low zinc. I learned that this mineral is very much related to hormones. And I always get male pattern hairloss. And this is for women going through a lot of stress: I had major hair loss after a surgery and supplementing with progesterone cream brought it back! I learned that p will tank during stress and cause all sorts of problems. Including lowering your thyroid function. I just bought the otc one that has 20mg per dose. Anyway, thanks doc for sharing all this info. The more we know the better! And good luck to everyone!
Basically in the extended video he just goes on about how it’s not typical male pattern baldness and was due to other issues hence why he could grow hair back
Does this include everything you did in order to get your hair back? How long did it take for your hair to regrow after you started dealing with the inflammation?
Well I found something that finally works my hair is growing in thicker and alot of baby hair and new growth. The crown of my hair is growing fuller and my temple I have noticed some growth. Thanks to your products I am addicted now. Can you use Rogaine while using the NutraM? I have been doing red onions 🌰 and ginger once a week, and massage rosemary oil every night and my hair is growing in very thick now
Yes, you certainly can use minoxidil alongside NutraM. When you are applying them, I would put down the Neutra M first and then wait five minutes and apply the minoxidil.
I found you years ago because as you said not much was out there. For about 15 years I have been working on my hair loss. A derm did a Ferritin test in 2010 and that helped. I have androgenic alopecia just as my aunt did. I am post menopause and that doesn't help. Things were under control for quite a while but suddenly I seem to have taken a turn for worse. I take no meds but many supplements including your great DHT blocker. I was shocked that my Ferritin was 22 in Sept lab. My D is 80. I use LLLT but I can't afford the ones the hair clinics recommend. I had a mild case of covid in May, is is possible my recent issue is a covid fallout? I've had PRP and it worked more or less and get a booster annually. It's getting so I can't afford my regimen since as you said none of it is covered by insurance. I have no medical issues that I am aware of either. Thank you for sharing your knowledge here.
From William’s Assistant Trichologist MJ: Thanks for sharing your hair loss story here. How's your ferritin level now? Are you taking something for it?
Doctor, I’m currently on the 3rd bottle of the DHT blocker along with the serum. Can I atleast expect that my hair will stop falling out? I quite happy with how it is now, of course ideally I’d love regrow some too. Thank you for all the help!
Hey doc, first of all I really appreciate your work and thankyou for everything. Now, I am 21 and for the last five months I have been loosing insane amount of hair. I used to have so much hair that it was difficult for me to apply shampoo evenly on my scalp. But now I can easily see my scalp under harsh sunlight . This was not the case 5 months earlier , it all happened under this period. I consulted almost 3 dermas and I was not happy with their service honestly because from where I am, hairloss is not considered something big. I was diagnosed with T.E. with Androgenetic aloepicia. Now I have decided to go for fin and minoxidil. I just want to know that can I recover my lost hair and my shedding is out of control. Can you give me some advice how to stop my shedding and can I recover the hair lost during these 5 months
Aww that was such a sweet and honest account of your struggles and ultimate successes! There was no need for you to worry about finding a wife as anyone can see you have a beautiful and compassionate nature. Thanks for these wonderfully helpful videos . 😚
I'm pretty sure I am going to be diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis when I go see my Rheumatologist. I am petrified of the medications I will probably have to take, as they cause hair loss. Is there anything I can do to counteract the projected medication hair loss?
Hi William! If I had a hair transplant and began having a very stressful period roughly 9 days post op (which lead to scalp itching) can this kill off grafts?
Hello there Doctor. Thank you for your commitment and hard work. I was wondering if discoid lupus hair loss is REALLY permanent or can I ever grow follicle with nutrition?
I am female and in my seventies. I was told I have lichen planopilaris, and not much can be done for me. Now I am losing my eyebrows. Blepharitis on eyelashes and face has red blotches. Panicky.
I went back and looked at my prior blood work over the past few years, and found my calcium has been consistently low despite eating plenty of meat, milk, seafood, etc. Not REALLY low, just slightly below range, e.g. 8.7 when the bottom of the range is 8.9 Other tests done to figure this out found that my phosphate level was also low. Could this slight out-of-range be at the heart of my thinning hair? Any ideas WHY my calcium and phosphate are low? Are there other disasters waiting to be discovered due to my low calcium and phosphate? Your thoughts?
Low calcium and phosphate levels, even if only slightly below the reference range, can potentially have various health implications, but they are not typically associated with hair thinning as the primary symptom. However, it's essential to address any persistent abnormalities in blood test results, as they may indicate underlying health issues. Here are some possible reasons for low calcium and phosphate levels: Dietary Intake: While you mentioned consuming foods rich in calcium and phosphate, it's possible that your body is not absorbing these nutrients efficiently. Factors like an imbalanced diet, certain medications, or digestive issues can affect absorption. Vitamin D Deficiency: Vitamin D plays a crucial role in calcium absorption. Low levels of vitamin D can lead to poor calcium absorption, even if you have an adequate dietary intake of calcium. Hormonal Imbalances: Thyroid disorders, parathyroid gland issues, or other hormonal imbalances can affect calcium and phosphate regulation in the body. Kidney Function: The kidneys play a significant role in regulating calcium and phosphate levels. Kidney dysfunction can lead to imbalances in these minerals. Malabsorption Disorders: Conditions like celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, or other malabsorption disorders can hinder nutrient absorption, including calcium and phosphate. Medications: Certain medications, such as diuretics, can lead to electrolyte imbalances, including calcium and phosphate. Other Health Conditions: Chronic health conditions, including chronic kidney disease or bone disorders, can affect calcium and phosphate levels. It's important to discuss your consistently low calcium and phosphate levels with a healthcare provider. They can conduct further tests to determine the underlying cause and recommend appropriate interventions. Addressing the root cause of these imbalances is essential not only for potential hair thinning but also for overall health, as calcium and phosphate are vital for bone health, nerve function, and other bodily processes.
Is inflammatory hairloss visible aside from losing hair? Was your scalp red? Mine feels inflamed, itches and burns but it looks fine. My hair keeps falling out. Minoxidil, finesteride, spiralactone, laser cap, PRP.. it still itches like crazy!
William Gaunitz Trichologist, hi doctor. How is diffuse alopecia areata diagnosed? What kind of scalp test is done? Please would mind explaining what you mean by blood type test?
From William’s Assistant Trichologist MJ: Hi there! You need to go to a consult with an experienced trichologist who can check your scalp and the condition of your hair follicles. Blood type test is a blood test to determine your blood type. Also known as ABO Grouping and Rh Typing blood test.
Sir if cause of TE not corrected means iron deficiency not found because ferritin is low end normal 10 Ng/ ml here in India dermatologist say it's absolutely fine. Hairfall resumes till it's corrected or telogen reverses after months
From William’s Assistant Trichologist MJ: Hi there! You will most likely continue losing hair due to low ferritin. You need to take derma iron asap www.advancedtrichology.com/collections/nutritional-hair-loss-products/products/derma-iron
I am also using minoxidil and finestride for over 5 years I am having same issue like yours flake on my scalp I am doing mild shampoo every day (mixed with water) but still have flakes skin on my head. I have a similar condition like your please guide me Big Brother. I am in my almost mid 20s. What laser worked for you?
What do you think about Visiscal? My nails grow fast. I am using Finasteride, Biotin, Collagen, , Doxycycline, Spironolactone. Is Horsetail a good ingredient?
I have used every over-the-counter product and Viviscal seems to be the best. It did take maybe 3 years, but the sides and side part were almost bare and now they are filled in. But the crown and the back are still very sparse. I am thinking about going back to it. But, I think that a dermatologist is now my best bet, as I am very depressed over this hair-loss. Good luck to you, most sincerely.
hello doc I need your reply very badly for my problem my hair used to be very thick when I was in my early teens now I’m 22 since past 4 years I have itching, irritation on my scalp when I scratch I can see white flakes I have been to various trichologists they recommended me shampoos for some time it was good but my hair was thinning gradually,I’m from india india but I moved to london now now I can little gap on my crown area I don’t have any density my hairy is very weak I have again consulted a trichologist here in UK they have suggested me to take minoxidil I want solution for my problem please 🙏 i want to regrow my hair back please help me out I’m depressed and devastated
From William’s Assistant Trichologist MJ: Hi Akshay! Hi Doc. Just came across your channel. Have you had any patients who took accutain for acne and experience hair loss dry scaly scalp burning host of problems. Wish I never took it. All my hair fell out. Replace with thin unmanageable dead looking hair. In the shower and pillow clunks of hair. Please help
From William’s Assistant Trichologist MJ: Hi Ralph! Yes, Accutane contains high levels of Vitamin A and with prolong use, many people can develop Vitamin A sensitivity or allergy. High levels of vitamin A are tough on the liver and allergic reactions over time can be commonplace. The additional inflammation caused by this allergy can lead to more hair loss. Sometimes the quality of the hair is damaged. Hair becomes lighter and finer throughout the scalp. In many cases breakage and a shortening of the follicles growth cycle becomes a problem. You need cleanse the liver and boost the immune system first. You may do this with our detox tea www.advancedtrichology.com/collections/all/products/hair-growth-detox-tea-by-advanced-trichology and order a Sonne 7 Bentonite clay (you can find this on amazon). Make sure that you have optimal levels of nutrition and address any hormonal hair loss if it applies to you. I haven't checked it again since that was Sept. Physical in Nov, I will ask for another lab. I've added Floradix to my vitamin regimen.
