I am retiring next year and moving back to middle Tenn. Buying a kayak will be my first purchase. I can't wait to hit the rivers and streams. Enjoy your videos.
I was planning on moving to TN after I retire, but my wife and youngest step-daughter, that moved ahead of me to establish what should have been our new residence have informed me that some locals really don’t like people from California. They have never met my family or I before, but were extremely hostile on learning where we came from. I know the majority of folks in TN are actually quite nice, but I cannot stand such blind hatred from the few that won’t even take the time to get to know us before judging us. This took me by surprise as many of my former coworkers from CalFire have retired to TN and have had a very different experience than my family has had.
Proper fishing mate. Those Perch were fin perfect. Fishing in all conditions is what makes angling so good, and if you fish for any species there is always something to go for anytime of the year. I'm finally getting back out this weekend after we had flooding. Going after Barbel again. Not sure if you have Barbel over where you are, but if you want to see one there is a video on my channel from just before Christmas. Tight lines
Excellent video John ! Lots of surprises ! Your posted work surpasses anyone on YT. Bad about the little bear, oh well......... the cycle of life. I've got to find some spots in N. Georgia to visit when I come down to visit my daughter. Always be careful. Pap Blevins in S.E.K.Y. (how bout them Cats!!)
I went today since it will be the last day for a long time before it will be fishable weather here. Supposed to have lows in the single digits sunday through tuesday and 100 straight hours of temperatures below freezing. I grabbed my ultralight and put a Mr.Crappie 2" joker and caught a ton of 9-10 inch bass. No giants, but man lots of fun on ultralight and felt good to finally catch something on artificial.
Norris has been dead since last spring. You can take that or leave it, because the guides will tell you it's fine, but imho something is wrong with the Clinch and no one wants to admit it.
Nice video! New sub from my channel to yours. The "cold water" bite is on in FL right now- sea trout are teaming up in the rivers. Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing your future adventures.
@ probably in warmer water. Up north near Massachusetts and Maine they have a similar taste to salmon. By contrast- most people up here hate bluegill, bass and crappy. I’ve had many people ask for trout when I go out but only know 1-2 people who want crappy/bluegill/bass.
@@TheZeppelin14 I like it whole(skin on) in a cast iron skillet stuffed with lemon and herbs- then I just pan fry in butter but it’s really good breaded and fried also. Best way to tell it’s done is to pull the tail upwards and all the bones come out in one pull.
Nice releases this video, I’d like you see you release them a little better like that!!!! Sometimes you’re a little too rough in my opinion brother. Edit (my point when you release the crappie) a little later
Loved the trout fishing. Next time your in the area drop me a line. Where you fished is usually fished very heavily in the summer. Glad to see you made it up this way. Excellent videos. Long time watcher but couldn't figure out how to open an account to subscribe. Lol
Dude great video I would definitely be taking all those fish and making fillets out of them and putting them in the grill! Thanks for sharing John you are relentless angler finding the bite and bringing in the catch snow or blizzard 🥶 LOL let’s go! Tight lines take care and God bless!
@ it’s been several years after losing my best angler partner and then my wife threw weeks ago I stopped fishing until I started watching kayak bass fishing tournaments in January of 2024 now I’m addicted to it and creek and river fishing LOL.
Those Bobby Garland’s are always my first go-to for trout. One guy I talked to on the river couldn’t believe I was catching trout with “crappie” lures 🤣
You make the best fishing videos man, but you should tell your viewers that where you're fishing is delayed harvest water and heavily stocked. At first I thought you were on the Talullah, but then the size of the fish nixed that idea. If you ever want to try your hand at some wild fish in GA, I can help you out on a few good places. I live in TN now, but I miss fishing GA very much.
Thanks for sharing a fantastic video Mr. Dalton. I would really love to find some crappie in my area. Those trout were really nice. The first rainbow was awesome. Hopefully showing the picture of the bear will help folks to be alert while driving at night. Thanks for the Proverbs
Wow what a crazy thing to stumble upon seen black bears several times through my life here In Oregon but never seen a dead one on the river like that gotta get u to Oregon one of these days for some steelhead fishing man you were always one of my inspirations for starting my own channel would be awesome to do a collab one day

good choice!
I live up in Ohio retired bought a kayak and like fishing out of it but don't think I'll ever stand and fish out of it. Good luck, happy retirement.
Hit the Caney Fork.
@@homeofinventionsdefinitely, full of trout.

Love that river! Just caught some in that area last weekend.
Caught six Yellow Perch in about 45 minute today in Toccoa, GA. About 35 degrees out with ice on the water! They are a fun little fish to catch!
Awesome video
I need to get my trout stamp. I have never caught anything in the cold in GA but chubs.
Also john do youll eat them perch up yonder
what are you using?
Did you notify Tenn Game and Fish folks about the location of the dead cub? Seems they’d want to know for study purposes.

Beautiful area you gotta do a Catch and cook on those trout one of these days very good eating fish.
Is that the Manistee river
I'm coming down from Cincinnati for the expo next weekend, would the Norris Lake spillway be a good spot to stop and fish for a bit?
Norris has been dead since last spring. You can take that or leave it, because the guides will tell you it's fine, but imho something is wrong with the Clinch and no one wants to admit it.
@CooperJones777 Gotcha, thanks for the info. I'll keep poking around on maps, just trying to make a whole day out of it since it's 8 hours round-trip.
im not sure about the spillway, i actually have a tournament on Norris tomorrow but i expect it to be tough
@@CreekFishingAdventures Good luck John 👍

Awesome Sauce, if you're still in Tennessee on this adventure please take Chris! Love when you Brothers team up! God Bless
Yess trout! One of the most delicious freshwater fish.
Every Trout I ever tasted was awful, to fishy tasting. I'll stick with Bluegills and Crappie.

@@Burttsyburtt I may have to try it this spring, I live in Ohio and there is only one river close to me that has Brown Trout and a few Rainbows.
where at in GA was this, its absolutely beautiful! would love to go hike around there!
pick a town and there are plenty of hiking
@CreekFishingAdventures well Georgia is just local to me.. specifically north Georgia so I figured I would ask where it was lol.
@@Hank-jku He probably doesn't wanna give specifics to thousands of people so the spot doesn't get over-run with folks.
Did you report the dead bear??
i was going to and forgot, its been a few days now
Beautiful trout! On those perch and crappie… they’re EATIN species do you ever keep fish to eat? Those would be amazing with breading!
He rarely does catch and cooks unless im around 😂
More trout content! Would honestly love to watch you trace those streams to find the native stuff on fly. Keep up the great work

Do you ever fly fish
Best fresh water eating fish I’ve ever had was Lake Erie Perch. Better than the Walleye.

Any chance you could DM me the trout location? My 6 year old has taken a liking to fly fishing and it looks like a good spot for him to learn
love the classic intro

It's nice to see a trout video good change up!!!! And multi species
God’s creations are beautiful.
Need to grabbed the line and pull on it when you are trying to get unhung so you don’t break the rod, I know from experience lol
Man, I miss the perch in northern Wisconsin.
Actually the bear is hibernating.
That’s well past hibernation….
@FishingWithChris_Tv Chris I have learning disabilities.
I wonder if you should report that bear. Not sure if they would want to test it to determine cause of death
Aku suka caramu membuat konten video mancing.... menginspirasi saya
Those are some of the biggest perch Ive seen
Wild trout ypu have to wear drake clouers fir them. They will see from and mile and way.
Hit that delayed harvest stream after Lemon Pepper Day and do a catch and cook.
I think I know where you were at at the start of the video
John if you're gonna be walkin around in the woods you ought to be carrying a 44 magnum dude dont be caught off guard
The days are not getting longer, they are all 24 hours. They are just getting more sunlight.
There are several definitions for "Day". One being: the interval of light between two successive nights; the time between sunrise and sunset.
