@@criticalcubing I still don't understand how to make an F2L pair, is there a video or a point in this one which will help me? I have not come from CFOP.
Critical, I just want to say, your tutorials and solves motivated me to keep using Roux. I now globally average sub 9 at home and sub 10.5/10 at comps. I just want to say thanks for all your videos. :) road to sub 8 for me lol
It's super obvious that you put a lot of time into making this. I've been trying to pick up roux but failed a lot at the block-building stage, so this helped a ton. Cheers.
Good point on color neutrality. With CFOP i am color neutral. With roux i have trouble finding pairs and recognizing cases for the corner, if i don't do white or yellow on bottom.
Thank you so much..you told everything about advanced FB in this video...Im on my way to learn full of this and maybe get sub-20..Thanks again you really help me
I like your video. I always wanted to have a advanced first block. I had trouble with that .Now I can switch to roux. I like that 28:40. Very funny that was
CriticalCubing I reminded because I really wanted this video.I did for myself so you don't need to thank me rather I should thank you for uploading this video.
Should I learn all of the first block approaches?? I just learned Roux like yesterday and I use DL approach I was going to switch to square but maybe using all of them would be better
Yes, learn all of them and see which one you can use for what scramble. Not every scramble can be solved efficiently with DL only, or square only, why its good to have a mixture of approaches, so no matter what the scramble is, you're ready with an efficient solution.
Yes, the full CN vs x2 y CN, the tradeoff for full CN isn't worth it, for little gain, and adds complexity to the solve, without giving an equivalent exchange.
Critical cubing, how long does cubeZZ take for shipping to India. I ordered about 20 days ago and it still didn't ship. Plz reply fast. I'm very worried.
i just watched the video i average around 35 sec now with the beginner method you taught in this series my first block lacks a lot and i cant find 5 move solutions at all what should i do
Is it bad to be CN with roux with any colour on base? im currently averaging 20 sec with any colour on the base, and red orange green and blue on sides. Will this have a negative effect later on (sub 10 ect)? thanks for the informative video!
Hi! i dont think its necessarily a bad thing, but i think it is useless. x2 y color neutrality can easily produce the desired effect and, as critical stated, will guarantee a 5 move solution. While cfop needs complete cn, roux's intuitiveness and the heavy usage of the middle layer makes up for full CN. i recommend focusing on CMLL (if you dont know it yet) and learning to be more fluid on LSE. for me, i am working on my first two blocks, because i constantly average like 10 seconds with it :/ hope this helped!
@@crashtest_crashtest thanks!, I think I will persevere with it at this point as I am pretty fluid with CN, but i will finish CMLL (2 subsets to learn) and work on LSE now. (and learn EOLR)

Isn't it better to use the line approach for the 2nd example of the square approach? First you insert the pseudo pair with L' U' L, then cancel into solving the BL edge. y' L' U' L2 U' L' D' Sorry for bumping but nice video still!
so basically since i learned roux yesterday in like an hour and have done maybe 30 solves using it maximum ur saying i should use this to get better at it

Even with one fixed first block,we can solve it in 7 or less moves.
Me who takes no less than 13 moves after 6 months😢😢.
Update : 1 month later,still takes 12-13 moves to solve 1st block.
Infact trying to be colour neutral has only made me way slower.
You can start with any color for colour neutrality with roux
Yes, the full CN vs x2 y CN, the tradeoff for full CN isn't worth it, for little gain, and adds complexity to the solve, without giving an equivalent exchange.
If it can be solved in 5 moves or 7 maximum, why is there a level 9 on the website you recommended?

I have no idea how you get the first block in 7 moves. It usually takes me 50+ :(
Practice, you'll get better. Also look into the 'cubegrass block trainer'. It is useful initially for understanding piece movement for first block.
Mine takes 15+ moves for FB and full Roux takes 80+ moves
Can you please hold the cube straight broski, it gets confusing at times. Like keep the bottom at the bottom and so on
